He’s dead! He’s dead! He’s dead! The image of Jaed… No! Not Jaed… stuck on the end of a sword is stapled in my head. The look on Michael’s face when he pulled it out… it was the same look on Kadis’ face in my dream. It keeps replaying in my head. The sword coming through the person’s (thing’s?) back. Michael’s look of glee as he pushes the body through the door and pulls the sword out. The body crumpling into a pool of blood. Over and over and over again. He’s dead! He’s dead! My chest hurts. I can’t breath… I can hear Kadis talking to me, but all I hear is the blood pounding in my head. I catch my breath and Kadis’ arms crush me to his chest. “Please Jane. We’ll explain everything. Just hold it in. I promise, you’re safe. Please.” His voice sounds panicked. Tears start to fall
