Chapter eleven: Manya

“Are you done in there yet?” Ace asks from outside. “Almost.” Rosa replies. She has been working on my hair and makeup for a good three hours and Ace has been outside the room for at least 2. “Okay Hun you're done.” She says and pulls me up so she can look at what she has done. “You look so beautiful, just like your mother.” She whispers and I can see her tearing up. I think quick and change the topic. “So what is this pack accepting thing about?” I had planned on asking Ace but I can't stand to see Rosa cry. She wipes some tears and sits on the bed. “It is where the pack has to see you change and they have to accept your wolf, and your wolf has to accept them. Also if you have a mate this is when they will step forward, and you see who you are meant to be with.” I freeze at her words. “Mate?” She looks at me questionably. “Yes dear. All wolves have mates. You only get one mate and you will be with them until you die.” I look at her. “Manya don't be worried everyone already knows who your mate is.” My eyes grow big. “You-you-you know? How?” I ask her stuttering a bit. Rosa looks at me like I'm stupid. “Manya it's Ace, that's why he is so protective over you, why he can't be away from you for very long.” I recall all the time I have spent with Ace and it all makes sense. Why he watched over me all that time. I look at her. She smiles and nods. I blush and walk to the door, surprise Ace had kept quiet as long as he had. When I open the door he is gone.
