CHAPTER FOUR
"Open your eyes now, lady!" I saw someone calling out to me to wake up from my deep sleep. I couldn't envisage what was going on then, as my mind went blank. After some minutes, I remembered what happened earlier before I passed out so I tried to recollect the face in my front, then it turned out to be the CEO. I looked around swiftly to check where I was and it took me a minute before I could assimilate my situation.
"Oh God!" I exclaimed, shouting out from my sleep as I quickly stood up, then looked around me. No one was in there, it was only CEO. He giggled, pretending to be worried "I scared you, right? I'm sorry...".
I couldn't say anything as I kept mute like a cow who is ready to be slaughtered. He kept on ranting all over and over again about my awesomeness earlier. I was becoming so deaf to hear him talk that I was exhausted already while figuring out what to do about my condition. Then he began "Let's strike a deal, young lady" he said with contempt, blowing away the hair on my face.
"Deal?" I asked, full of amazement.
"Yes... A deal" he answered.
"A deal on what then?" I asked.
"Okay... I'll help cover you up on what you did earlier by changing people's perspectives towards you" he said and further added "Also I'll help you by considering you as being my Body guard" he chuckled.
"And what if I turned down your offer?" I queried.
He looked at me and bursted into laughter "I am the one trying to be nice here and this is unlike of me, young lady. Anyways I'll suggest you grab the offer because you might see another one next time" he threatened me, turning on his TV.
Behold, I was amazed as what I saw left my mouth agape. I have became the headline of all new story in the Country. Noticing me all along, he faced me and said "Deal or no deal, young lady?".
I kept mute, not saying anything word which made him to say "I'm even the one trying to be nice in here because you brought this over yourself, young lady so I hope you grab this opportunity and I am sure you can never find one again next time" he said, defenseless.
"I don't think I have any other choice, do I?" I asked.
"Yeah... I guess you are left with none" he chuckled, before adding further "So are we striking a deal, then?".
"Even if I want to accept... I don't think I deem it fit to be your Bodyguard because I don't have the requirements and you can always call on a company to ask for one if you need" I added.
"Oh! Really? And who said you don't have what it takes to be one? Have you forgotten your performance earlier?" he bursted into a whole lot of laughter.
"But still..." I stuttered, but he cut in on the way.
"No buts, young lady. The ball is in your court" he said, throwing his hands into the air.
"Okay sir... But what's the pay" I managed to say, after comtemplating for a while and seeing that I had no other choice than to concur with the deal.
"Right! Now you are talking... so this is it" he explained all the details to me within few minutes which seemed like he wanted it so badly before and have had it planned out already.
"Okay, I've heard you. But what's the exact amount of payment?" I inquired.
"As your first job, I'll consider giving you 200 dollars for a start because I could hear you mentioned about help the other time" he beamed at me.
"Oh my!" I exclaimed as I burst into laughter when I couldn't hold the joy in me anymore. He looked at me while I was being dramatic and laughed to himself, saying "What a Lady!".
I stopped for a while to ask him when I'll be starting my work as his Bodyguard. "Just relax, young lady... I'll definitely get back to you through my manager on that" he said and further added "Seems we had a deal now?" he asked and I nodded affirmatively, shaking hands with him.
