Ethel’s POV. "I only agreed to speak with you privately because you are my father's oldest friend and I respect you," I said, seated in Sabastian's office. “This has got to be worth it” I added. "There is a rumor going around, Ethel…” “Alpha Ethel, you mean” I interrupted him, portraying an intimidating demeanor. “Yes, yes. Alpha Ethel, do forgive my manners” “About the rumor, people will always talk. The sooner you realize this, the better it will be for you," I said, crossing my legs against each other, clearly annoyed. “They say she has bewitched you. As far as the pack members are concerned, Ivory or whatever she is called is…..” “Don't you dare” I growled angrily, grabbing Sabastian by the collar and pinning him to the wall. “She is my wife and your Luna. Next time you call her name, say it with respect” I warned Sabastian, tightening my grip on his collar. “Let him go Ethel” Raven, my wolf said. “It would be a shame to die on the day you were born. Stay in your lane, Sabastian, she is my choice, my soulmate!” I declared, letting his collar go. I angrily stormed out of the room and walked back into the hall where the birthday celebration was going on. My plan was to get Ivory and leave. However, I searched around and couldn't find her. “Ethel, are you alright?” Alex asked, placing his palm on my shoulder from behind. “I noticed you coming out of that room and Sabastian followed after, what does he want?” What Sabastian wanted was the least of my problems. I was more worried about Ivory's whereabouts. "Is he still upset about the fact that you rejected his daughter?" Alex inquired, raising his left brow up. “I can't find her.” I responded. “Find who?” Alex asked, confused. “Ivory. I left her here and I can't find her now” Alex looked around and then returned his gaze to me. “That's strange. There are just a few wolves present here, finding her shouldn't be difficult, right?” “Find her Alex! Now!” I ordered. “Yes Ethel, Excuse me” Alex said before storming off. After Alex left, I turned around and noticed an omega wolf staring at me. She was holding a tray of drinks and looked terrified. I could hear how fast her heart was racing from where I stood. “You know something!” I said, staring at her. She quickly dropped the tray she was holding and hurried out of the hall. Angrily, I chased after her. She was weak in comparison to my speed and strength, so I quickly caught up with her outside. I grabbed her by the neck and lifted her up. “What do you know?” I yelled furiously. The anger within me had risen to the surface and was now clearly visible. “Please, spare me ..” She spoke while stuttering and struggling to breathe. Other wolves noticed what was going on and gathered to watch the scene. However, no one dared to question me because they knew the consequences would be severe. “What's going on here?” Alex asked, struggling to get through the crowd. “Ethel, your eyes…” “Alpha Ethel!” I yelled, tightening my grip across her neck. “Stay out of this Alex, she knows something” I added. “What's going on here?” I heard Sabastian ask, moving closer to where I stood. I turned my face around and stared at him viciously. "You are a guest at my house, Alpha Ethel, and I will not allow you to inflict pain on my servant," Sabastian challenged. I scoffed audibly. I returned my gaze to the Omega still in my grip. “Speak, now!” I ordered, bringing out my claws. “You will kill her Eth.. Alpha Ethel” Alex rushed over and held my hand. “What is this all about?” “Speak!” I yelled, ignoring Alex the murmurs that were going around. “She.. she..” The maid struggled to speak. Her eyes were gradually turning white and I knew at this rate, she would die in no time and I wouldn't get the information I needed. I released her from my grip. Falling to the ground, she instantly started coughing, wrapping her hands around her neck which was now covered with blood. “I was given instructions to bump into her and empty the tray of drinks I held on her.” The maid said, still coughing continuously. “Where is she?” “I directed her to the restroom. It's upstairs…the first door by.... by the left, Please spare me Alpha Ethel” The maid bowed her head on the ground. “Who gave you the instructions?” “My master,” She answered, still with her head bowed. “Seize him!” I ordered Alex. He quickly rushed over and grabbed Sabastian by the arm, forcing him to go down on his knees. I ran back into the house and went into the restroom the maid had described. There was no one in there when I walked in. However, something else caught my eyes. I got closer and bent down to pick up a pair of black heels, the exact ones Ivory wore. Angrily, I dashed out of the rest room and went outside. Alex was still holding Sabastian by the arm when I got there. “Where is she, Sabastian?” I growled, throwing a hard punch to his face. The punch was so powerful that it knocked him out of Alex's grasp. “I will have everyone search the house,” Alex said, running as fast as he could. “What is so special about her? She doesn't even have an identity. She is a lone wolf” Sabastian yelled at the top of his voice. “She is my mate!” I clenched my fist tightly. If it wasn't for self control, I would have ripped Sabastian into tiny little pieces a long time ago. “You rejected my daughter, my only daughter for an omega like her? A weak wolf that isn't from obsidian” Sabastian let out an outrageous laugh. “Good luck finding her” “You have made your decision Sabastian.” I said, dragging him by the hair. I made him attain a kneeling down position. Exposing his neck, I spoke “Say hello to your ancestors” I brought out my claws and just as I was about to slit his throat, I heard a loud call. “Wait!”
