PRISONER OF THE HEART

121 Words

PRISONER OF THE HEART Sitting outside it’s so peaceful The wind blows through my hair I wonder why he had to leave and if he ever cared. I grew to love a man Whom I could never fully have. I let my feelings run free And I want them back so bad. I knew the price I’d pay For letting myself love you. I should have stopped it earlier From the beginning I knew. Still I took the chance Hoping I wouldn’t fall. But now I see it’s all my fault It happened after all. Now my dreams are dead And you have gone away There’s so much I want to tell you And so little left to say I know I have to face it But it’s tearing me in two I’m a prisoner of the heart Because I fell in love with you
