Alex entered the mansion with a mission. Her chances were high with Piers but all she had to do was break the ice wall that was forming between them. She needed a plan, something that would bring them closer together.
"I know what I have to do", she whispered, careful this time not to say her thoughts out loud. She made her way slowly up the helical staircase to the second floor, she was going to see Piers right away in his master suite.
