Chapter 0
It’s a rainy Saturday night, and I’m alone in my unstylish room, listening to the sound the bucket makes when the droplets of water leaking from my ceiling hit it.
Tip… tap… tip… tap
I’ve been staring at my computer screen for an hour now contemplating whether I should watch a movie or sleep.
“I’m such a loser,” I thought to myself, scratching the back of my head out of frustration at the same time remembering the exact moment I got dumped. It’s already been months and I still can’t forget about it for some reason.
“I’m hopeless” I whispered to myself as I stood up from my chair, and decided to get some sleep instead.
After a couple of minutes, I finally found a position comfortable enough for me to pass out. I heard a very soft female voice. “Says who?”
I jolted back up after hearing the voice and looked around to make sure I was just hearing things due to lack of sleep. All I saw were the silhouettes of the cabinets and items I had scattered around this messy room.
“Maybe I am just hearing things, I need sleep.” I sighed.
“Yeah, you do need sleep, you look really awful.” Says the same voice I heard earlier.
As any sane man would do, I looked around again and once I confirmed there was absolutely no one in sight to play pranks on me, I hid under my blanket.
“You are a weird one, aren’t you?” she teased. I’m only hearing her voice but I can imagine a broad smirk on her face while she’s saying that. I closed my eyes and tried my best to sleep but then I saw her. “There you are.”
