Delilah Pov
"Are you hungry?" William said softly.
"Sure, I mean you said you wouldn't kill me so I should trust you with the food you bring me, right?" I explained to him.
"I have fruit, if you want anything else just let me know," he said.
"Fruits okay," I said unsure of what I would even ask for under these circumstances. He came over and undid my hand from the restraint. Is it weird I thought he would feed me? Probably. I grabbed the bowl of fruit and picked around for the fruit I actually liked. William just stared at me and it made me feel self-conscious about my eating habits.
"What do you know about these recent attacks on our pack?" I asked him. William looked puzzled and didn't want to answer.
"If you can ask me questions, why can't I ask you?" I questioned him. "Now, answer me, did you know about them or help set them up." He took his sweet time to reply but eventually did.
"I didn't orchestrate it but I knew it would happen, eventually,"
"What does that mean?" I asked confused.
"Someone is after you and perhaps after your family," he said. "I know your pack is strong and large in numbers but I fear it won't be enough to stop-," he didn't continue.
"Okay, so your friends with my mom and you couldn't just tell her, "
"She wouldn't understand and might worry and make it worse," he said. "I just want to see your powers and I will leave."
"But the threat won't, will it," I raised my eyebrow at him. "My parents told me about so many battles they endured during their youth. I know what happened with the witches and if you think they came back or something."
"It's not just witches or rogues this time," he paused again and sat down beside me.
"This is my fault, I will protect your family as much as I can but I can't stop this threat, I might become part of the problem if I stay," he explained.
"When can I go home?" I asked him.
"Give me a couple more days," he said softly. I sighed and put the bowl of fruit down.
"Are you full,"
"I am now," I told him.
"I wonder if you are willing to try something," his eyes were fixed to mine.
"What is it?"
"I want to give you some blood, not human of course but I want to see how your body reacts," he said. My eyes grew wider. I didn't answer him but I was intrigued. I always felt urges that I never understood and I would never let myself fall to these urges but that day with Wes. I felt like if I didn't leave I would have done something bad.
"Okay, but can I not kill the animal or whatever it is your going to have me suck on," his expression changed and I had then realized what I had just said. I bit my lip and he walked out of the room. I was still untied so I ran to the door. The minute I touched the doorknob my palm burned. I quickly took my hand off of it and went to sit back on the bed. He came back with another bowl and it had an awful smell to it.
"Do vampires like the smell of blood?" I asked him.
"Some blood actually smells sweet but most smell foul but you will soon know what you like and don't like," he answered.
"Well, I already know I don't like this one," I dipped my finger in the bowl and licked it off. "Um, I don't really." I didn't have any words but I hoped I didn't throw up because of this test.
"It is better if you drink the blood from the vein but you didn't want to kill the-,"
"Don't tell me what you killed, please, I already want to vomit,"
"Here," William came over to hand me a tissue but I felt my heart pounding and I could hear him so clearly. His hand reached the level of my mouth and I leaned in closer and grabbed it. I bit down without thinking and it sent shock waves all over my body. I felt like I was about to choke so I let his hand go. Blood was spilling all over my mouth. I didn't realize when I started to cry but the tear slipped onto my lips.
"It's okay, relax," William said.
"Your blood,"
"I know,"
I wanted to say his blood was rich and tasted so much better. It was like how anyone normal feels about tasting chocolate for the first time. It was so good I didn't want to stop but the something in me told me to. This wasn't me, I wasn't a vampire. I didn't want to drink it. I didn't want to like the taste of blood but I did. I wiped the remaining blood off my mouth, fighting the urge to lick it and taste every last drop.
"Rest, I'll be back," William left and I heard him leave, leave. I don't know where he went but he left me all alone. As a wolf, I never got cold but I was cold. I started crying again.
William Pov
I went back to Aria's pack. I was avoiding going to see her but I had to act as if I knew nothing about her daughter's disappearance. The minute I got there the entire pack was on edge. Aria was frantic and so worried about her daughter's safety. Then she approached me and said something I wished she wouldn't have.
"William, help me find my daughter, please," I knew she would ask if I came back. "Help us and I promise I will pay you back in any way I can." I stay with Aria and her pack going over all the evidence and news they had. They didn't know where the rogues came from and they hadn't linked it to me or any other supernatural being. They had search packs hunting any scent all over the area. I had to come up with another plan and possibly move Delilah from where I had her.
