chapter 11

The plane ride home wasn't very long. The pilot gets off the plane after notifying me we landed, and I sit there staring at the exit. I want to get off, but how am I supposed to face my family when I feel so broken? The thought of misty in his arms replaying over and over again.

Tears start to brim and I quickly rub my eyes and stand up. "No, I am beautiful, strong and kind. This will not break me. Theres no way the moon goddess would make him my mate, she can see our souls."

I grab my suitcase and exit the plane. As I'm walking down the stairs to the Tarmack I notice a couple of other private jets.

I wonder how many of these belong to werewolves.

I say to myself in my head. As I'm walking towards the building, I notice a couple of men staring at me. All 3 of them are very good looking.

The shorter of the 3 has short Auburn hair and he's thin but muscular. He's probably in his early 30's. His aura is off and a little creepy.

The second man whose taller than the first, with platinum blonde hair. He's clearly older the the first and has to be in his late 30s maybe even 40, looks to be the same age as my parents, he's got no facial hair and if he was a werewolf I would definitely think he's the alpha, as he looks intensely strong, but something about him doesn't feel right and makes my skin crawl.

The third man, who is taller than the other two, also has blonde hair and even from a distance, I can see his piercing blue eyes. He's got clean-shaven facial hair. His aura around him is a lot nicer as well, almost inviting, while the other two men's aura is off, something almost evil about the two. I shake my head slightly and keep walking quietly.

"Miss, it's late outside you shouldn't be walking through the airport alone and you look injured." The taller one says as I'm passing them.

I stop and turn to look at him I had completely forgot about my eye, lip, and head and give a small smile. "I'll be OK, I'm stronger than I look. Have a good night gentlemen." I turn to start walking when the oldest of them pipes up.

"At least let this foolish boy walk you to where your heading. You are a beautiful young lady after all," he says.

I look back and feel goosebumps on the back of my neck hearing the last bit of what he said, it was creepy, not sincere. I look at the taller gentleman. "Honestly, I'll be fine."

"Eric, my name's Eric, and I insist." Eric says, putting his hands in his pockets, walking towards me.

I notice the shorter man smirking and look at the older man.

I turn to Eric quietly. "alright." I start walking again quietly.

"Beta be quick about it. Will ya, we have errands and information to find out." the shorter man says.

"Yes Cal, I'm sure it won't take long." Eric follows me quickly.

Werewolves. I wonder what pack they're from.

"My apologies for insisting but I needed a break from Cal and Edward, miss," he says, looking down at me.

"Lily, my name's Lily, you don't have to call me miss, and it's alright." I look up at him quietly and get onto the elevator heading down to parking.

" Where are you coming from?" he asks, leaning against the elevator wall. "it looks like you got into a fight are you alright?"

"Northern Ontario. I'm heading home early, and I was in a fight, which is why I came back early." I push my hair that has dried blood behind my ears out of my face and look at him quietly. His aura is definitely more inviting than the others and definitely the better looking of the 3.

He nods his head. I assume, he understands I would rather not talk about the incident. "Is it nice up there? This is the furthest North I've been."

"It is, it's beautiful up there. your from the states, I'm assuming then?"

"Florida, which is beautiful, but Canada, so far, is very nice."

"My family is originally from Missouri, I understand." I let out a small smile thinking about my old home. the elevator doors open and we walk to a portion of the parking lot that has a person with keys.

"Hello mam and sir, good evening, what name are the keys under." he says opening files on the computer.

"Andrews. My father sent a car with keys here for me."

Eric looks at me quietly, his smile vanishing from his face.

"here mam, and happy early birthday." the valet car guy says.

I nod and take my keys from him and smile at the bow. "Thank you sir."

" Your car is parked at 3C. Have a good night."

I nod and start walking, noticing Eric is no longer smiling and seemed off. "Everything OK? I can walk on my own if you need to go."

Eric looks at me and nods. "Yes sorry. everything's fine." he places a hand on my back, ushering me to continue walking.

I feel a bunch of tingles run up my back but I continue walking. Weird. The rest of the walk is very quiet, you can feel the tension. We make it to where the car is parked and I gasped.

" No he didn't!" I look at the car with a giant bow over the black and blue corvette in the parking spot.

" That's a beautiful car." Eric says, looking at it.

"Apparently my father has a good sense of what car i wanted for my 18th birthday, that's in a few days." I put my luggage in my trunk quickly and look at him.

"your turning 18?"

I nod. "Yes, it's an important birthday 18 is. Alot happens."

Eric nods. "Well, happy early birthday lily." he holds out his hand for me to shake.

"thank you for walking me to my car Eric, and thank you for the birthday wish." I shake his hand and feel tingles through our touch. Liam used to give me butterflies in my stomach and fireworks. This is different.

Eric turns and walks back in the direction we had come and I get into my car.

" Oh I can't believe mom and dad got me this car." I start driving home. The toll of the day really hitting me as it's been a really long day.

After about a half an hour's drive, I pull up to the gates and they quickly let me in and when I get to the pack house and park I lean back and look out the window. Liam and I were going to spend the day watching movies and cuddling. Instead I'm home. I'll turn 18 here and change into my wolf with my mom, dad and brother instead.

I see my dad sitting on the steps to the pack house and get out of the car and make my way to my father.

"Lily bean!" dad pulls me into a hug, causing tears to fall immediately. He takes my chin and makes me look up at him and sees my black eye and lip as well as blood dried face from the blood from my head. "hey hey, Colin and Bryan will figure it out. Liam cant be in his right mind." Dad rubs my back and directs me to the steps to sit and talk.

"I don't want to see him again, regardless of the outcome. It felt like my heart broke. I'm so hurt by what was said and he attacked me. Nothing can take that back."

Dad wraps an arm around my shoulders. "Do you want me to go beat him up?"

" No" I let out a small laugh. "I just want to be home for awhile."

" Well, I have to go there anyways and speak with Colin. Some important information has come up."

" Oh, yea, is there a pack from the states visiting?"

Dad gives me a confused look. "No, there shouldn't be. Why do you ask."

"I met these 3 men. Eric, Cal and, um, I think Edward was the other man's name. They didn't outright say it, but I heard them call Eric beta, so I know it's werewolves."

Dad's face stiffens instantly. "lily, your not to leave the grounds under any circumstances."

" What why?" fear starts spreading through me. Did I meet some bad people? "Because they're dangerous. Did you tell them your name?"

"Eric walked me to my car. He said he needed a break from them. i told uim my first name. He was with me when I went to the office to get the keys and heard my last name."

Dad stands up. "Damn it I have to go to my office. You should get washed up and go to bed."

I nod not wanting to upset my father further, and watch him walk in, so I grab my luggage and walk in quietly. I can hear him on the phone, so I stand by his office door against the wall to listen without him seeing me.

" They are in town Colin, He's here."

"She spoke with Eric. She saw all 3."

"If it's the right eric that im thinking of, he was acquired through the ember forest pack. He was recruited for killing Edwards' original beta during the slaughter."

"She told him her first name and he heard the last name from the clerk when she got the keys. I don't think the others heard it but Eric must've reported it. he doesn't have a choice."

"She won't come back, Colin. She doesn't want to see him again."

I start pondering my knowledge of threats I've heard dad and uncle Colin talk about. Hearing my father start talking about the events, I decided to sneak upstairs to my room and sit on my bed.

What is happening? I break up with Liam. He attacks me. I come home meet 3 men and find out they're not good people. Ugh, what is wrong with those three men? I decided to write down their names and what they look like on a piece of paper and hide it in my drawer. I'll sneak into dad's office when he goes to blue moon.

-Leon a few days later-

"All right, I'm all packed." I look at my beautiful mate sitting on the bed. "Don't let her leave the grounds. I'll leave after her change tonight."

Lianna looks at me and nods. "Our little girl is getting her wolf today."

" Yes, she's all grown up." I hold my hand out for Lianna to take. "Let's go find our girl."

Lianna grabs my hand and stands up as we make our way out of our room to find Lily.

-Lily-

I get out of the shower and stand in front of the mirror staring at myself. My black eye is nearly cleared up and my lip is almost healed. I dry my hair and put my bra and underwear on. I quickly add some coverup and eye liner and mascara. I walk into my closet and look at the dress I had picked for the day. its a beautiful short dress that's tight above my waist and chest and loose flowing that ends above my knees. It only has one shoulder strap and no sleeve or strap for the other shoulder. It has glitter and sequins throughout the whole thing.

I slide the dress on and walk out of the closet and try to zip up the zipper on the back.

knock. knock.

I look over at the door after jumping from shock. "Come in!"

My mom walks in and I smile. "Hi mom."

" You look beautiful." my mom walks over and zips up my dress and kisses my forehead.

"Thank you. Where's dad?"

"He was called to the foyer as some people showed up unexpectedly." she replies worriedly.

I look at her and notice the worry on her face. "Mom? is everything OK?"

My mom sits on my bed and looks at me worriedly. "There are some bad people in this world hunny. A couple of them have just entered our home."

I sit on the floor in front of her as she grabs a hair brush and starts brushing my hair. "Who?"

"Edward Clifton, and his best friend Cal Greene." she starts braiding my hair leaving some of the long front pieces flowing.

knock knock.

"Come in!" I look towards the door to see one of dad's guards coming in.

" Ladies, both your presences are being asked for in the great room."

"Alright, Drew, we will be there shortly." my mom says, sighing.

He walks out and shuts the door.

"Lily, your father and I swear to protect you with everything we have, but we need you not to show your powers in front of these men." she puts her hands on my cheeks.

I nod quickly. "OK, I promise not to use my powers."

My mom helps me up from the ground and we walk out of the bedroom.

I wonder if Eric will be there as well. How truly bad is this Edward guy. I take a deep breath and follow my mom. Once we get to the entrance of the great room, I stop and take a deep breath. My mom looks down at me.

" Head up darling, stand tall. Do not show fear."

I nod and watch her walk into the great room. I put my head against the door to listen to what was being said.

"Well, well, Alpha Leon, your mate is stunning."

"Thank you." I hear my father whisper something, I assume, asking my mother where I was. I take a deep breath and fiddle with my fingers and walk in quietly.

I look at my father who looks stiff and angry and then, to my mother, who looks worried but reassuring to me.

I turn to look at the men standing in the room opposite my parents, to see Cal on the left, Edward in the middle and Eric on the right.

"Well now, she is as beautiful as the rumours said." Edward says, staring at me. Something feels sinister about the way he's looking at me. I wish he would stop staring at me as if he's undressing me.

"Thank you."

"Well, little miss, it's good to see you again, glad you no longer look hurt. Well, not too hurt.." Cal says with a smirk, giving me the creeps.

"Wait, this is the beauty at the airport, isn't it?" Edward says, looking at Eric who is staring at me and hasn't taken his eyes off me.

Why hasn't he. Is that wonderful smell coming from him? I want to go to him.

"Why are you here, Alpha Edward?" my dad booms, making me jump a little.

"Well, I wasn't sure what I was going to see. The rumours are that there is a beautiful woman here that puts shame to many she wolves, I should have brought the army because this beauty will be mine."

I look at him wondering what he meant. "Your certainly not my mate. In fact, aren't you mated already, Alpha Edward?"

Edward looks at me menacingly and walks closer to me. I can feel his breath against my face and he puts a hand under my chin, forcing me to look up at him. I glare at him.

"Yes, I have a mate, but you will be my wife and bare my pups. As for my mate, once you're mine, I'm sure she'll, how should I say, disappear....." Edward stares at my lips and licks his own, sending a shiver down my back.

I hear my father growl loudly. "Please move away from my daughter, alpha Edward, she did not give you permission to touch her."

I look around Edward to Eric to see he looks pissed off and then back at Edward and move away. Cal notices me look at Eric and smirks, noticing that Eric hasn't taken his eyes off me.

"As you know, Alpha Leon, I take what I want, and this wolf is most definitely IT and I will have her. "

"I won't be your wife and I won't bare your pups, I believe in the mate bond and want to be with my mate, not someone with multiple she wolves, your a terrible person who deserves to rot." I glare at him.

"Oh you won't have to worry about other she wolves, I won't need them when I'll have you." Edward gets close to me and whispers in my ear. "I plan on devouring your p***y, and you will succumb to me."

I back up and smack him across the face completely bewildered. I hear a few people gasp and look at him. "No. I wouldnt touch you if you were the last man on earth."

Edward smirks, did slapping him not piss him off.

"Leave my pack house Edward." My father says, stepping down a couple steps towards us. "You will not touch my daughter against her will."

My mother follows my father and I see Cal getting into a fighting position.

"Don't forget, Leon, our pack could slaughter this pack in minutes."

I let out a laugh which makes Edward raise his brows.

"Oh, you don't think my pack could?"

I look at him angrily and look towards Cal who was advancing on my father and I throw my hand in Cal's direction. "Don't touch my family."

A gust of wind comes flying from behind me making my hair move with it as it throws Cal across the room.

"Lily no!" my mother screeches.

Edward smirks and nods. "ill give you One year and your mine. one year to be with your family before i take you" he looks towards Eric. "My beta Eric and my friend Cal will be staying near by to keep an eye on my future wife and her family to make sure there's no funny business, Leon." Edward pulls me against him while I struggle to free myself. He grabs me by the back of the neck and crashes his mouth against mine. I slam my hands against his chest, trying to push him off me. I don't kiss him back and he licks my lips and lets me go before walking out of the great room.

Eric goes to walk passed me and I grab his arm, tingles erupting through our touch and I pull my hand away. "I thought you were kind. How could you serve someone so vile?" I thought he was a good guy at the airport, even his aura was kind. How was I so wrong?

Eric looks at me quietly sadness etched through his face. "I wish I could tell you." he looks at my father. "I suspect you know why, can you fill her in on my story at least what you know of it?"

My father nods. "Lily, let's go."

I look at Eric confused and follow my parents out of the hall. There's something about him. Every time our skin meets I want to feel more of him. I felt him in the room the whole time. I can smell his scent the second the door opened, he smells like chocolate chip cookies and fresh air. Is this the mate bond? I thought Liam was supposed to be my mate.

I can't believe I'm stuck with these idiots. I wish I could just leave, being a rogue would be better than this.

When Luna Lianna walked into the room, I couldn't believe the resemblance to her daughter. Lily's looks though we're more beautiful.

Edward compliments Lianna and it makes me Ill. If Lily wasn't here he'd surely take Lianna, and who knows, at the end of this, he might, he has before with other packs.

I hear the door open and my eyes immediately dart towards it. My heart skips a beat when lily walks in. She's breath taking, her blueish hair put into a braid with some locks forming around her face. Her striking blue eyes feel like they could pierce through someone's soul. She's wearing a beautiful dress that really shows how beautiful her body is, and her scent. She smells like vanilla and citrus. I'm engulfed in it.

As Edward advances on her, the only thing I want to do is rip his head off for going near her. I want to walk up and pull her into my arms. What is this im feeling?

"Mate"

"Mate? No I can't protect her. Eris, Edward will cut my head off while raping her, hell force me to watch him rape her. This can't be happening." The thought of him raping her makes my blood boil. The thought of him touching her makes me want to kill him.

"That is our mate. I can feel her wolf stirring. She's ours."

I hear lily scream something at Cal ripping me from my thoughts, and I see him go flying through a window.

"She used a power, Edward won't stop his pursuit of her now. I'll be forced to kill her pack and hand her over to Edward, Eris. What do we do."

"Shes ours. We do what we can in the meantime. As for Edward, we only comply when he's within our eyes' view. Our allegiance is with her."

I see Edward grab her and force her into a kiss and it makes me want to be sick and kill him. How dare he touch her, I'm so screwed.

Once Edward walks out, I go to walk passed Lily. She grabs my arm, tingles erupting through our touch and she pulls her hand away. "I thought You were kind. How could you serve someone so vile."

I wonder if she feels what I feel when our skin touches. She thinks I'm horrible. I didn't choose this, I don't want to work for Edward.

Damn it, if I linger, Edward will wonder about my loyalties, but her touch makes me want to stay as well. She smells so good.

I look at her quietly sadness etched throughout my body. "I wish I could tell you." I look at her father. "I suspect you know why, you can fill her in on my story?"

Hopefully he does know my story and hopefully she can get passed it. My mate is going to be hunted and tortured and there's nothing I can do about it.

"Lily let's go." I hear her dad respond after I asked him to fill her in. I give her one last look and walk out.
