Donna

Alora POV

My focus snaps back into now when I go towards Donna's room door. Her cries rip through me, and I want so bad to go in.

"Love, we need to wait for the Dr to do his work." Aiden held my hand, taking me away from the door, and reluctantly I follow, I know they will be helping her.

Donna's screams have calmed down a little since Greyson went to her. It's good that my mates were able to stop his forced shift because he would have felt awful about not being there for Donna once he had calmed down enough himself. A mate brings so much comfort and peace.

I'm standing in Austins arms, Holly is in Gages, and Aiden is talking with the warriors.

Caria, Linda, and Carrie have joined us, and it seems Chris, Lou, and Graham are working their asses off to figure out what has happened and the person responsible.

Aiden, Austin, and Gage have left to speak with the former high rankers but have since returned to be here for their friend.

I'm not sure how long we were waiting for but I've paced and sat down before pacing again, I've cried and got angry and all I want to do is be there for my friend. Donna's screams and cries have silenced, and I want to go check on her. surely we can go in now. I look around the waiting room, and I can see they are all thinking the same as me, especially us women, we all stand ready to go in.

"It's silent. Maybe we can go in now?" I walk towards the door again and lift my hand to knock on the door when it opens. A nurse exits and looks so pale, with tears in her eyes.

"Excuse me, Luna, Alphas, Dr. has asked you to join us, please." she bared her neck, but I could see her taking gulps of air.

"Of course, how is she?" I ask as we follow her into the room, but I'm scared for the answers.

She didn't answer before standing next to the Dr.

My eyes automatically land on the bed, Donna is sleeping, and Greyson is holding her hand.

"Alphas, Luna, I've had to put Gamma Donna into a medically induced coma. The pain is too great for her. Her leg isn't healing at all." his voice filled with confusion, and I don't miss the despair lacing his words.

"Why is her wolf not healing her?" Austin asks, placing his hand on his friends shoulder. "I think it is magic. Something poured into the hottub maybe, whatever it is it is stripping her flesh layer by layer, and it seems to have also locked her healing abilities away." Dr explains, and my eyes catch sight of her leg, I'm almost sick.

Her leg has no visible skin. You can see her muscle, connective tissue, nerves, and blood vessels, and in some places, it has taken her leg down to the bone.

'Those fuckers will pay' Veda growls and I totally agree, they have attacked my family and they will not be given mercy.

"I'm so sorry, Greyson. I'll make some calls and see if we can get some help." I hold in my sob, If we hadn't been messing about, Donna would have been fine. 'Yes, I agree, but she saved our pup, and I'll forever be grateful,' Veda says with guilt, but I hadn't seen it that way. Greyson gave a small nod, still not taking his eyes from his mate.

I moved to the opposite side of the bed and sat down, I took Donna's hand in mine.

I've linked dad to ring Isla and ask for her return, and to explain what has happened, maybe her grandparents can help," Aiden explained.

"I'm so sorry, Don. You shouldn't be going through this at all, and when we find who is behind it, they will suffer." I stroke her hand as I talk to her, trying my best to hold my tears back. "I also want to thank you for saving our pup , I don't think they would have survived this," At that, Greysons head snaps up and looks from me to his friends.

They both nod to his silent question, and he smiles, "Congratulations," he stood and hugged both my mates, then me.

"Congratulations, Luna, Donna hasn't said anything." he's confused as to why she hasn't told him. "We haven't shared the news yet," I say as he moves towards his seat.

"We were waiting until Alora was ready." Austin kissed my head as I sat down again.

"I know she would be happy to hear that, and I would also like to apologise, Luna, for my behaviour earlier. I would never intentionally disrespect you, not only as my Luna but also our friend. I will take any punishments you see fit." Greyson bowed his head and bared his neck, but I don't hold anything against him. He and his wolf were suffering.

"No need for that Greyson, you were not yourself. Let's forget it and keep it between us, I wouldn't want Donna to kick your ass." I giggle, and the tension left him.

We spent time with Donna before leaving, and Holly walked in and gave my hand a gentle squeeze as she walked by me, and Gage followed in behind her.

"I need to get to the office and help with the investigation," I state, heading straight for the door. Both of my mates don't answer and walk beside me. We walk in a confused silence, we need to figure out who is behind this attack and put an end to any future attacks.

We entered the office in a slight daze, sat here were the omegas, Mary and Nina, and beside them were Maria.

They all stand and bowed their heads to us.

"What have we got?" Aiden asked straight to business, "Nothing at all, they have all been questioned, and we are no closer. Maria has explained that the spa is left open through the day, and so anyone could have entered."

Chris explained, and Aiden growled in frustration.

"None of you had seen anyone come and go?" I ask, looking at them. Both omegas shook their head, no, "no Luna, no one came in when we were there, we swear," and both had tears falling, their headtbeat didn't pick up pace more than it was already. It was clear they were being truthful. "Ok, you can go," Austin instructed, and they both stood and couldn't get out quick enough. Maria also stood ready to leave, but Aiden stopped her. "We haven't finished with your questioning. Sit down." she quickly took her seat again.

Caria sat beside her and gave her a small nod. It must be hard for her to see her friend upset, but we need to ask questions.

"Now tell me what time you opened the spa and if at any time you left before the omegas arrived." Austin asked. Maria's hands were shaking slightly, and that is understandable with a pissed off Alpha, but she has two very angry Alphas.

"I opened at 7:30am but I was in and out of the spa for most of the day. Wendy, Mary and Nina came at 10 am, but I saw nobody at all. I swear, not one person entered the spa that I know of," and again, her heart rate was steady and a clear indication that she wasn't lying. When a person lies, their body betrays them unwillingly.

"You didn't notice anything out of the ordinary?" Aiden asked, and she shook her head "No Alpha" was her reply, her eyes cast down, "No other person entered, and nothing was out of the ordinary. I'm sorry Donna got hurt, though." Caria gave her friend a gentle squeeze on her arm.

"Ok, you can go," Aiden all but growled, and it was out of frustration rather than it being aimed at Maria. She left in a hurry.
