Chapter Five - The Visitors

After breakfast was over, the pack left for their daily routines. Some continued to patrol their borders, while others did their daily workout. Some did chores in the packhouse while others took care of the small children. Everyone in the pack had a duty to fulfill every single day as a family. There haven’t been any complaints or such in the pack and they enjoyed the life of being a werewolf in the pack.

As soon as the visitors have arrived, many took precaution because of the two witches as healers arrived with their mates. They were surprised and curious about these witches because it was known that witches are not capable of falling in love or not able to live without their coven. In this case, the legend is not to be trusted and these two witches are proof that the witches indeed could fall in love and live without a coven.

“Welcome to the Avant Wolf Pack. We have been expecting you guys today,” said Alpha Steve from the Avant Wolf Pack.

“Good day to you, Alpha Steve. It’s been a long time since we have seen each other. Let me introduce you to my mate, Julie RavenWolf who is our healer in our pack along with Carla Weaver who is my Beta’s mate. You remember my Beta Elias Weaver,” asked Alpha Roman from the Werebear Pack?

“Yes, how are you doing Elias,” asked Alpha Steve?

“I’ve been good. I have a mate now and we will soon have a child of our own,” said Beta Elias while rubbing Carla’s tummy.

“Well congratulations, welcome to the club. Let’s sit down and have a drink while the lads do their own thing,” said Alpha Steve.

“Lady’s we’ll see you later,” said Alpha Roman.

Alpha Steve Knight took the werebears into their living room to have a chit-chat amongst themselves. Meanwhile, Luna Melinda Knight invited the witches to her secret garden which was what Luna would call it because no one was allowed to enter Luna’s garden without her permission.

“Thank you for coming ladies. It is a pleasure to meet you. I understand you are aware of our differences and I apologize in advance for feeling uncomfortable in my pack. The pack just has a hard time trusting a witch again since the incident that happened many centuries ago. We just grew up hating on witches because they were known to be our number one enemy. In your case, we can trust you both since you guys are mated to a werebear. It’s rare to hear about witches living on their own outside of their coven and falling in love. Not all witches are capable of falling in love. I respect that and I hope we can be very well acquainted in the future. Now, the reason I’ve called you lady’s because I need a protection spell or something over my baby daughter. She was born weak and was told that she is not strong to live longer than 3 years. I don’t want to lose my only daughter. Please, help me, ladies. I want my baby girl to live longer than the 3 years that were given to her. Can it be done,” said Luna Melinda who was desperate to save her only daughter.

“Yes, it can be done. We have performed this spell in the past and it has worked wonders. There haven’t been any complaints lately or failures. Now, where is your baby girl so we can start,” said Julie who was very confident about performing the magic spell.

“My maid is on her way with my baby girl. Ah, there she is,” said Luna Melinda reaching out to her baby daughter that was brought by a housemaid.

“Oh, she is so adorable. I can’t wait to have my bundle of joy. I just hope it’s a girl,” said Carla while looking at Luna’s baby girl.

“Thank you. How far are you ladies,” asked Luna Melinda.

“I’m six months and seven days pregnant,” said Julie.

“I’m six months pregnant,” said Carla.

“Wow, three more months to go. Do you know the gender of your child yet,” asked Luna Melinda?

“Nope, not yet. We want it to be a surprise when the time comes,” said Julie.

“How wonderful,” said Luna Melinda.

“Now, let’s get your baby healthy. Please hold her still because the spell is going to make the baby uncomfortable,” said Julie.

Luna Melinda Knight is now sitting on the grass holding onto her baby while she’s asleep. Julie RavenWolf and Carla Weaver are getting ready to start the ritual to cast a spell onto her baby girl. Once they were ready they began to say some words in union and cast a healing spell onto the child. The baby girl woke up crying and wouldn’t stop squirming around. The Luna did her best to hold her still worried for her sake. Soon the witches stop chanting the spell and then the baby calmed down and fell fast asleep.

“All done, Luna. Your baby daughter will live longer than three years. That’s a promise. But of course, you as a mother have to do your part. Take good care of her and let no harm come to her,” said Julie.

“Thank you, ladies. Thank you so much. I owe you both a huge favor in return when you need it. I’m just happy to have my baby girl healthy again,” said Luna Melinda with tears coming down her face. They all hugged each other and left the garden to meet up with the men.
