We pull into Charles’ driveway.
Like six minutes later.
And I recognize his brother’s 2012 black Chevrolet Camaro parked in the driveway.
“Connor is here?” I ask him with a big sigh.
“Yeah, just temporarily, until his baby mama lets him back home.” Charles explained and then turned off his car engine.
“I don’t think she will Charles, he f***s up so many times.” I say while grabbing my phone in one hand and gripping the door handle with my other one.
“I know babe, but my mom and dad, they care about all of their kids, so they’re letting him stay here as long as he needs.” Charles explains.
“Alright, I’m just going to hide in your room the whole night.” I tell him.
And then get out of his car and close the door.
I shouldn’t be a b***h to Charles, it is his older brother after all.
But a part of me wishes that I had parents that actually give a damn about me.
“Okay babe, he’ll behave this time.” Charles tells me whilst wrapping one of his arms around my waist.
“Good, being catcalled last time wasn’t exactly a good feeling.” I say while making a sour look thinking of that horrible memory.
“I’ll make sure he doesn’t do that.” Charles says while walking up in front of me, and then opened his front door opened for me.

“And what is there to do up there?” I ask him whilst looking up at him and raising an eyebrow at him.

“What? I was going to suggest watching Netflix on my television.” Charles explains whilst letting a hearty laugh.
I roll my eyes.
“Were you thinking of something dirty?” He asks me while smirking.

“Yeah okay babe, let’s go.” He chuckles.

“I knew it!!” I shout standing up and pointing at the T.V. screen.
I knew that would happen to that dumb b***h.
I’m not going to say what movie it is, because I don’t want to spoil it to anybody and have people cussing me out for it.
“That she would die?” My own boyfriend asks me while acting like he didn’t even know what I was saying.
“Uh yeah, babe, you said she was making dumb choices earlier in the movie.” I tell him as a matter of fact.
“A good observation you have there, babe.” He chuckles.
Before I can reply, his mom interrupted us.
“Charles, Macie, time to eat.” I hear his mom yell out.
Making us both leave his bedroom.

“Well Macie, you’re always welcomed here.” Charles’ mom says.
We were at the dinner table, with his mom and dad.
“Thank you, Carol.” I tell her whilst flashing her a smile.
Which she gladly returned with her very own.
“I’m sorry Shelly isn’t here, she wanted to get ready for cheer, so she won’t be home till later.” Charles’ mom, Heidi explained.
“Oh, that’s good, I hope she makes the team.” I explained.
Shelly is currently a sophomore and is trying out for the junior varsity cheerleading team of our school. Try outs are on Friday, so thank the Lord that the varsity team has there’s the end of junior year.
“I hope so too, she really likes hanging out with you.” Heidi says.
“I like hanging out with her too.” I say whilst eating a crab leg.
It’s true, other than Serena, Shelly is the only other girl that I don’t mind hanging out with.
“Well that’s good.” Was all Heidi said.
We all sat and continued to eat in silence, and then we heard some whistling.
“Hello, lovely family.” Connor says happily whilst walking in the dining room.
He then takes his seat across from me and giving me a quick wink and then grabbing some crab legs.
Making me roll my eyes, whilst Charles glared at him.
“Good to finally see you at dinner.” Charles daddy, Sebastian says.
“Yeah, had to deal with baby mama drama.” Connor says with a sigh.
“Oh, well just have her bring Blaire over sometime, and you two can settle all of this and I want to see my grandbaby.” Heidi explains.
“We’ll see mom.” He just sighed.
“Don’t just give up son, you two have been together since you were both sixteen years old, you can get through it.” Sebastian explains.
“Okay dad.” Connor said whilst nodding his head.

“That was intense.” I say later on in Charles’ bedroom.
“Yeah, but like I said, they care about their children.” Charles explains whilst lying on his back.
“That’s true.” I tell him and then take off my pants and tank top.
“You know, you can just go to bed like that.” Charles let out a short laugh.
Making me laugh along with him.
“Nah, I’ll just sleep in a t-shirt of yours.” I tell him whilst walking up to his closet.
“Damn.” Was all I heard him say.
I then smiled and shook my head.
