Mate Camp

Chapter Ten

Tony's POV

I went back into the car and immediately felt heart broken. There she was. My mate. I felt a pull towards her for a while now but didn't know what it meant. I thought it was just an attraction. I closed my eyes thinking about how good it felt to kiss her sweet lips and smell her intoxicating scent of roses mixed with honey blossom. Oh what I wanted to do to her right then and there smelling her sweet sweet arousal. 

"She's your mate?" Alpha Damon asked. Although it sounded more like a statement. 

"Yeah. She just completed her test yesterday. She was kick ass!" 

"Good to hear. She needs to be for what's to come." 

"What do you mean?" I asked my Alpha.

"I am bringing you along with an ulterior motive, Tony." He said with a smug expression. 

"What have you done this time?" I smiled at him. I've known Damon since we were kids. It was inevitable we would build a close relationship, as my dad was his fathers beta before Damon took over the Alpha position. 

"You'll see." He said, again with amusement on his face. "You'll need to mark her soon though. Once people find out what's about to happen." 

I just glared at him. If he is not ready to tell me, then there isn't much I can do to persuade him. I need to get Jessie's number. There is no way I will survive these two weeks without speaking to her. I made a couple of phone calls and within 10 minutes someone sent me her cell phone number. I decided to wait until we got to the Bluehill Pack to give her a call so we would have some privacy. Damon and I got out of the car and went through the introductions of the pack members. I excused myself and took a walk towards the forest. Suddenly I got nervous. What if she doesn't pick up? I stared at my phone for a while and out of my control my finger pushed the call button. I held my breath as it rang. 

"Hello?" her soft voice came through.

"Mate." I called her. 

"Beta Tony." she said almost inaudible. 

"My Love. It's just Tony for you. You are my equal." I heard her chuckling at that. "How was your day? God I wish I didn't have to leave today. If it wasn't for Alpha's orders, we would be doing something else right now."

"Mmmh..." She moaned. "I uh... I had the girls over helping me unpack. And I was about to shower and get ready for tonight." 

I imagined seeing her naked in front of me now. My d*ck growing hard at those images. I took a deep breath and focused. "What are you doing tonight?" 

"Jill and Katie want to take me out dancing. To uhh... celebrate my birthday and finding my mate."  She is celebrating finding me? That made me miss her even more. I want to make her mine and mark her. 

"I wish I could be there with you. Celebrating you. I never want to be without you again." I can already see her in her tight dress and high heels looking so irresistible. I can not stand the thought of other men looking at her body let alone touching her. It makes my wolf furious.  "I never want to be without you either Tony." She whispered lovingly. "I uhm.. I told Jill and Katie about us. Well, Jill saw us actually so technically I only told Katie." She confessed. "I would like to wait for your return to tell people. To make an official announcement." 

"I'd like that. I want everyone to know you're mine." I said proudly. "Will you let me know when you're home safely?" I hoped she didn't take it wrong. I didn't want to sound too possessive. 

"Of course I will. I Love you!" My chest swelled with pride. She said it first, beating me to it. 

"I love you too! Have fun tonight. But not too much." I said jokingly and ended the phone call reluctantly. 

I made my way back to the Bluehill pack house, curious what all this secrecy is about.
