    *Kyle’s P.O.V.*

I never thought I would find my mate, I never even knew that anything can be this beautiful. Mark told me everything that had happened that day. I can’t believe she went through all of that, she isn’t doing too good. I can see it in her eyes, she blames herself. When I her reunite with her pack, I can tell she’s happy. Everyone in my pack died a couple of days ago, we were attacked by a pack of rogues named howlers. I have to talk to Cassandra about them. “Cassandra, can I talk to you in private?” I ask her. “Yes, of course. Come on.” What is she talking about. Oh my god. She has to start telling me when we are teleporting, because it’s making me uneasy. “What did you want to talk about?” She asks. “I wanted to talk about us being mates.” She stiffened at the word mates. “I feel the bond… What the hell is your name. You’ve been here for a couple of hours and I don’t even know your bloody name.” She rambles. “Well, my name is Kyle.” I say while trying to hold my laughter. “Well Kyle, I am not sure how we are going to do it because I am not the mate you want, so if you’re going to reject me please do so now. Oh, and if you stay with me your life will be in danger at all times.” What is she talking about? “Cas, I would never reject you, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I would rather be in danger at all times, then be without you at all times.” Then without even thinking I start singing.

When I get done singing I look at her. She’s crying, s**t way to go Kyle. “Look Cas, I didn’t mean to make you cry baby.” I approach her and hug her. She grabs my shirt with her tiny hands and cries for what seems like forever until she looks up at me. “Thank you.” Was all she said before she kissed me. The kiss sent fireworks off behind my eyelids. I then hear footsteps and apparently so does Cas, because she shoves me behind her and puts up a protective barrier with an invisible shield around it. “What do you want from me.” She growled. “Oh Cassandra, it has been so long. 5 years to be exact am I correct? Oh never mind that, how’s Axel.” He asked. I watched as Cas’s eyes turn bright red and her purple hair goes up in flames. “I wouldn’t know because you killed him.” Was all she said to the guy who killed her previous mate. I don’t think I could live on without Cas. I know I have only known her for a couple of hours, but I need her. “Now now Cassandra, now you know your dear friend would never hurt you or anyone you loved.” I watched as several other wolves come out from behind the trees, I need to help my mate. That’s when I realize who they are, the Howlers. Cas’s head swings my direction as she mouths “I’m sorry.” What is she talking about. She then starts flying up about six feet above the ground and screams. The whole pack has blood coming out of their eyes, nose, and ears. Then I realize what’s happening. She’s killing herself to kill them. I then watch as they all fall to the ground including Cas. My barrier breaks as I feel my heart being destroyed. I run up to her to find that she isn’t breathing. s**t s**t s**t. This can’t be happening. “Calm down, take her to her pack.” Was all my wolf Rice said. I run with her in my arms all the way back to the waterfall. “Throw her in.” Rice says calmly. So I do, I throw her in and I watch as the waterfall turns black for a second then turns back into a metallic purple. I then watch as Cassandra comes running out and tackles me to the ground with a hug. “Thank you, thank you, thank you.” She then pecked my lips, but gave me a real kiss when I pouted. I then see her kid run out and he hugs her. I think his name is Benny? Something like that. “Hey there Benny boy.” She says. Yup it’s Benny. “Mom you have to hurry it’s Alpha Luke he’s had a heart attack.” Benny tells her. I watch as she clenches her fist and runs into the newly built pack house. “Right over here baby girl.” Alpha Luke tells her. Is he her dad? “Luke, god. What happened. I left and fought the Howlers, and now is the time you decide to have a heart attack.” She says with tears in her eyes. “Babygirl, I am so glad you’re okay. I have to go now, I just had to make sure you were okay. Stay strong baby stay strong.” With those last words Alpha Luke passed away in my mates arms. She lets the tears fall, but she runs out of the house. I hear her sad howl and I get up to make funeral arrangements.
