Someone's watching

This weekend has been so much fun, and it leaves me excited for more weekends with my family when they come out. My favorite part of this weekend was riding the horses. Lady was exactly what I was hoping for. She was gentle and sweet, but when I wanted to run, she opened up, and we ran. It was a blast, and I could not wait till I could ride her again.

My family and Natalie are leaving tomorrow, so I have one more day with them. We decided we would go to town and do some shopping, even though it is a small town. The boutiques are really nice and have really cute things.

So we are waiting for my mom, Natalie, and my brothers to come over so we can go. William had his brother cover his chores so he could come with me. I'm still afraid to go places without him, and I know it's irrational, but I feel it deep in my bones. I'm not safe alone. William says he believes me, and he doesn't mind being with me, so I'm grateful to him.

Mom and everyone else showed up, and we were ready to go. We are taking the big van, so we can all fit in and save time with one car. We loaded up and headed to town. We all talked while we drove, and Natalie told me a story of the last time we went shopping together. We all laughed. I don't remember it, but it sounds like it was fun. We arrived in town and set off to the first place we had planned..

William P.O.V

The ladies wanted to start at one end of town and make their way down shopping at the stores as we went, and as long as my Bambi is happy with that, so am I.

We are in the 3rd store, and I'm watching Destiny talking with her friend. She seemed tense. I'm not sure why, so I keep watching her. She kept looking around the area, and I decided to ask her what was wrong and walked over to her. Her friend just walked away to the fitting room. I went to her and pulled her in for a hug. I whispered to her. "You look tense. What's wrong?"

She squeezed me and whispered, "Someone is watching us at the last store. I started feeling it." Looking down at her, I smiled and said, "I got you. Just act naturally, and I will let your brothers know, we will keep looking for whoever it is OK. "

Kissing her lips softly as her mom came up to us, asking if everything was OK. Destiny nodded and said, "Let's go see what else we can find."

She led her mom away. I went to find her brothers. I didn't go too far before I found them. I fill them in, and we make a plan to be within reach of all three of the women at all times.

We continued on with the shopping and soon the girls decided to go have lunch. We go to the diner and are greeted by Virginia. She seats us all in the big back booth. I can see that destiny has relaxed more here.

I hate that she feels so unsafe in the open. We order our food and talk about our plans for the next time they visit her. Our food arrives, and we eat while we chat. I was halfway through my food when I felt Destiny tense up beside me, and I looked at her and saw she was looking around the diner, her eyes darting around in fear.

I leaned down and asked her what happened, and she smiled slightly and said, "It's probably nothing, I am being paranoid, I think," but I could see she didn't even believe that herself, she was trying not to come off as paranoid.

I turned her head using her chin to guide her and tell her, "If you are feeling uncomfortable, and you think something is wrong, I want you to tell me. I trust you and your feelings, OK, please." she nodded and relaxed a bit, and she whispered to me, "Someone is watching again."

I could see the fear in her eyes. I put my arm around her, pulling her as close as we could get, leaving a light kiss on her lips, then went to her nose, kissing again. I told her not to worry. Nobody is going to do anything with the six of us together."

We finished lunch, paid, and left to finish the last 4 stores on this side of the main street. The next one is my favorite in town. It's mostly Western apparel.

I really wanted to get Destiny some jeans and a pair of boots she could wear riding. She had fun riding, lady the other day, and, honestly, they were the perfect pair. Mama said she thinks we should make her Destiny's horse. I couldn't agree more. I think she will love having her own horse. She enjoys spending time with all of them in the barn.

I pull destiny along back to the boots she giggles at me, asking where we are going. I said, "You'll see. I've been waiting to bring you in here." When we got to what I wanted, I showed her and told her what I wanted her to do. She tried to protest, but I said, "I am not giving you a choice. You need these things for riding. I don't like you on a horse without the proper attire, and tennis shoes aren't cutting it, so pick a pair and try them on and make sure you find some that feel comfortable." with a hesitant look at me. I pleaded, "Please, Bambi, do it because it makes me happy."

Smiling at her, because I knew I had got her, she rolled her eyes and said "Fine but just the boots and a few pairs of jeans", I added, "and a hat can't leave the hat out." she sighed and said,"Fine, but that's it." I nodded and kissed her lips hard,"I promise, "I whispered against her lips.

I had her try on a few different styles and told her to pick the ones that felt the most comfortable. She decided on the black pair with a silver design on the sides. They match her perfectly, taking them along. I pulled her to the jeans and showed her the different types, and picked a few pairs to have her try on. She took them, and we walked to the changing room. I teased her by pretending to go in with her laughing at her face when she said, "What are you doing? Oh, no, you don't. You wait for me out there. No funny business, Mr." Laughing at her, I stepped away holding my hands up. "Okay I get it"

I decided I'd look at the jewelry while I waited. It's 5 feet away from the changing rooms, so I walked over and opened the case. I looked at a necklace and earrings set, a beautiful Montana silver set. I decided to get it for her. I looked for one of the twins to hold onto it for me, so she didn't see it. I walked around the corner and found Jeremy's lips locked with Natalie.

"Oh shît" I exclaimed, surprised to walk up on them. They separate, and Jeremy smirks, asking, "You need something? Where's Destiny?" I looked behind me and told him I needed him to hold this, so she didn't see it. He took it from me. As I turned around, I heard Destiny scream bloody murder at that exact moment.

I ran as fast as I could and ripped open the door, seeing her standing there shaking and crying. I grabbed her, asking what happened, and she just cried hard sobs into my chest. She tried talking, but she was too worked up. I picked her up bridal and went to the door. I hollered back to pay for everything in her changing room and walked out the door straight to the van. I opened the back doors, climbing inside, still holding her on my lap. I held her close, soothing her with whispered words. I was worried. I don't know what happened, and I have not seen her this upset since those men came to the cave.

I looked up to see Jason dragging some guy out of the store by his shirt. Jeremy, Natalie, and Kathrine were behind him.

With the commotion of the yelling outside, my Bambi looked up. Fear was evident in her eyes. She said, "He..he.. Was watching me, I think? I don't know? I looked up when I heard something, and he was looking at me, but.. But he.. I saw him before... I remember seeing him from a memory." Shaking her head, she sits up, her body shaking as she moved, wiping her tears away. She looks angry. Now, I grabbed her face and looked into her eyes. I said, "It's OK sweetheart". Shaking her head, She said, "No, it's not. I can't remember where I saw him and I think it was after I was taken! But I can't be sure, and it pisses me off I can't remember things clearly. I'm tired of being afraid", she turns from me, opens the door, and climbs out before I can say anything.

Fûck, she is pissed off. She looks both ways and runs across the street before I can stop her. I ran after her, calling her name. Jeremy turns as she reaches them and stops her from going forward while she yells, "Did you do this? Did you take me? I think you were there with the man with green eyes!" I went to her, grabbing her, holding her to me while she shook, her body, trembling. With wide eyes, he said, "No..no. what are you talking about? Destiny, we are friends I"... Natalie, interfering, says, "No, she's my friend, your Jarod's friend, not ours." Destiny's head whips up asking. "Who is Jarod?" Natalie answers her, "my new ex. and your old ex. "she nodded and said, "Take me home. I'm done today." I said,"OK, love, let's go," taking her hand, I led her away, telling the others to come if they were going back with us. I hear Katherine speak, saying, "Jesse, if I find that you boys have anything to do with Destiny's kidnapping and abuse. I will cause you unimaginable pain, I promise you that!!" Glancing back, I see the twins taking her and leading her away with Natalie right behind them.

When Jason gets to the van, I hand him the keys and take Destiny to the very back seat. Getting in with her, pulling her into my lap, I held her close to me, holding her and told her I love her, and I am here with her.. She snuggles close to me and falls asleep when we get home. I told Jason to park the van at our place. I took her inside, and lay her in bed making sure she was still sleeping. I go talk to everyone about the events of today. This is not a coincidence, and I don't like it one fûcking bit.

We chatted a bit about the event that took place today and decided to let Katherine call the detective and let her know about today. I drove everyone back to their guest house and ran the van back to the barn for the cars, getting on the 4-wheeler. I went home to be with Destiny. I hope this doesn't set her back. She was coming out of her fear, and this may hinder her confidence..
