Chapter 25
Monte Cristo was stuck at Ginger Rock.
When the Cube unleashed the wave of purple energy over the kingdom, it expelled all of the Gourmans out of the kingdom and pushed them to the outskirts. They had landed at Ginger Rock, only able to stare at the kingdom as a thick purple dome sprung up and protected it.
Monte Cristo stood atop a rocky outcrop with his arms folded, thinking about how to penetrate the wall.
His phone buzzed and Sodius appeared on his telephone screen, floating in a black background as his salt crystals glinted.
“What happened?” Sodius asked.
“The vegetables used their Cube,” Monte Cristo said. “Expelled us out of the kingdom. Now there’s a dome over it.”
