CHAPTER FIVE: FIRST DATE JITTERS

Sophia couldn't concentrate on her classes for the rest of the day. She kept thinking about Alexander, wondering what their coffee date would be like. As the final bell rang, Sophia grabbed her backpack and rushed to the library, where she had agreed to meet Alexander. When she arrived, Alexander was already there, sitting at a table with two cups of coffee. He smiled as Sophia approached, and her heart skipped a beat. "Hey," he said, standing up to greet her. Sophia smiled, feeling a little shy. "Hey." They spent the next hour chatting, laughing, and getting to know each other. Sophia felt like she'd found a kindred spirit in Alexander. As they finished up their coffee, Alexander walked Sophia home, his arm brushing against hers. Sophia felt a spark of electricity at the touch. When they reached her front door, Alexander turned to her, his eyes sparkling. "I had a great time today," he said. Sophia smiled, feeling her heart flutter. "I had a great time too." Alexander leaned in, his voice low. "Would you like to go out again sometime?" Sophia's heart skipped a beat. "I'd love to." It was as if she would just jump up and hug him
