CHAPTER SIX: FAMILY MATTERS

250 Words
Sophia and Alexander's relationship continued to blossom over the next few weeks. They went on romantic walks, had deep conversations, and explored the town together. One day, as they were walking through the park, Alexander turned to Sophia with a serious expression. "I want you to meet my family," he said. Sophia's heart skipped a beat. "Really?" she asked, trying to sound casual. Alexander nodded. "Yes, really. They're eager to meet you." Sophia felt a mix of emotions: excitement, nervousness, and a hint of fear. What if his family didn't like her? Alexander seemed to sense her unease. "Don't worry, Sophia," he said, taking her hand. "My family will love you." Sophia smiled, feeling a sense of reassurance. "Okay," she said. The next day, Alexander picked Sophia up from her house and drove her to his family's mansion. Sophia's eyes widened as they approached the grand entrance. Inside, Sophia was greeted by Alexander's parents, who were warm and welcoming. They asked her questions about her interests, her family, and her goals. Sophia felt a sense of relief wash over her. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. But just as things were going smoothly, Sophia's phone rang. It was her mom, calling to ask for help with something. Sophia excused herself and stepped outside to take the call. As she listened to her mom's voice, she felt a pang of guilt. She had been so caught up in her relationship with Alexander that she had neglected her family responsibilities.
