ELIJAH'S POV
I hung back, hidden in the shadows, as Emilia approached the ancient tree. Her hand reached out to touch the symbol etched into its trunk, and I knew what was about to happen.
A surge of energy pulsed through the air, and Emilia's eyes glazed over. She was seeing visions of her past, memories that had been hidden from her for so long. I had seen it before, but it still filled me with a sense of wonder and awe.
As I watched, Emilia's body swayed slightly, as if she was being buffeted by the force of her memories. Her face was a mask of concentration, her eyes unfocused. I knew she was uncovering secrets, secrets that would change everything.
I stayed hidden, not wanting to interrupt her journey. This was something she had to do on her own, something she had to discover for herself. I was just a witness, a guardian watching over her from the shadows.
As the visions faded, Emilia stood still for a moment, her chest heaving with emotion. Then, she turned and walked away from the tree, her eyes scanning the surrounding area as if searching for something. Or someone.
I stayed hidden, waiting to see what she would do next. Would she come looking for me? Or would she strike out on her own, determined to uncover the truth? Only time would tell.
