ELIJAH'S POV
I listened intently as Sarah spoke about the Lunar Prophecy and the symbol on the sketch. My mind was racing with possibilities. Could it be true? Could Emilia be the Chosen One?
As I looked at Sarah, I noticed something strange. My heart was beating faster, my senses heightened. I felt...drawn to her. But that was impossible. I was the King, and I didn't have time for distractions. I had a duty to my pack, to my people.
But as I turned my attention back to the conversation, I realized that my feelings weren't for Sarah. They were for Emilia. The girl in the sketch, the one with the wild eyes and the mischievous grin.
I felt a jolt of recognition, like a punch to the gut. Emilia was my mate.
I couldn't believe it. Me, the King, mated to a human? It was unheard of. But as I thought back to our encounters, I realized that it made sense. The way I'd felt drawn to her, the way I'd wanted to protect her.
I remembered the first time I saw her, at the art gallery. She was standing in front of her painting, her eyes flashing with passion. I'd felt a spark then, a sense of connection that I couldn't ignore.
And now, I knew why. She was mine.
I stood up, my mind reeling. "I need to see Emilia," I said, my voice commanding.
Sarah looked at me in surprise. "Now?"
I nodded. "Now. I need to know if it's true."
Sarah nodded, understanding in her eyes. "I'll take you to her."
As we left the mansion, I couldn't shake off the feeling that my life was about to change forever. I was the King, but I was also a werewolf. And I had just found my mate, my luna.
The drive to Emilia's apartment was a blur. I couldn't focus on anything except the thought of seeing her again, of being near her. She makes my wolf want to jump out from the confines of my skin. I wonder if she will feel the sparks also
