Alpha Logan Hayes.
She had heard the stories—the terrifying rumors that traveled from pack to pack, whispering of the ruthless Alpha who ruled with an iron fist. The one who had crushed entire packs without blinking. A monster in wolf’s skin.
And now, he stood in front of her.
His sheer presence was suffocating. Even in the dim moonlight, she could make out his powerful build, the sharp angles of his face, the way his midnight-black hair framed his striking yet deadly features. His eyes, a deep stormy gray, bore into her like a predator studying its prey.
She tried to move, but her body refused to obey. She was frozen—half from exhaustion, half from the overwhelming force of his dominance pressing down on her like a physical weight.
Why is he here?
Her mind screamed for her to run, but she couldn’t even breathe properly, let alone move.
Logan took a slow, deliberate step forward, his boots crunching against the leaves. The air around them grew tense, thick with something unspoken.
“Who are you?” His voice was deep, smooth, yet laced with something dangerous.
Leah swallowed, forcing words past her dry throat. “Leah… Grey.”
His gaze flickered with something unreadable, but he said nothing.
Then, his eyes drifted downward—to the silver chain around her neck.
Leah instinctively clutched it. The small pendant had been with her for as long as she could remember. It was the only thing she had left from when she was abandoned as a baby.
Logan’s eyes darkened.
Something about that look sent a chill through her.
Why was he looking at it like that?
Before she could say anything, he crouched in front of her, his hand reaching out.
Leah flinched, expecting him to grab her, to hurt her—because wasn’t that what Alphas did to Omegas like her?
But instead, his fingers curled under her chin, tilting her face up so she had no choice but to meet his gaze.
“You’re injured.”
It wasn’t a question.
She barely had time to react before he scooped her up as if she weighed nothing. The warmth of his body was shocking against her cold skin.
“W-What are you doing?” she stammered, trying to push against his chest, but he didn’t even budge.
His grip tightened slightly, not enough to hurt, but enough to silence any further struggle.
“You belong to me now.”
Leah’s heart nearly stopped.
What?
Before she could protest, he turned and carried her into the shadows of the forest, leaving behind everything she had ever known.
