The Scorpish g**g

Chapter 2

Uncle Rick is like a forever open shelter for the boys. He is a retired army person. He was a part of the Special Forces. In a mission in the Middle East he was badly injured after a mine blast and lost his one leg. Although he can still walk with the help of a crutch. His right leg is missing from the thigh. He has a prosthetic leg too. His name is James Richardson. He faced this deadly accident in 2014 and got retired from the army. Now he lives in Ross’s neighborhood.

His wife is a barren one. They have no children. This is a reason why they adore this g**g very much. Their wicked works do not bother them much. Hence, they become very happy whenever they pay a visit to them. Also whenever they have some free time they prefer to spend it at Uncle Rick's.

Today afternoon is such an afternoon to be enjoyed there. After lunch and a bit rest, Ross went to his balcony to see how his plants are. He ripped of some rotten leaves and noticed a tall, obese, brown haired boy was coming across the road in olive pants and black t-shirt. It was Jonas. Jonas suddenly looked up and found Ross waving at him. Ross peeked at the clock and saw it's 3.14. "You're early big guy," said Ross.

Jonas says, "You know me don't ya'?"

Ross says, "Oh, hell yeah. I do bruh."

Jonas says, "Now shut your cake hole up and come down fast."

Ross says, "You wanna come up?"

Jonas says, "s**t, no! I don't wanna meet that lousy girl."

Ross bursts out of laughter holding his belly.

Jonas says, "Oh don't start again please."

Ross has a younger sister. She is just 4 years old and thinks that Jonas is her boyfriend. She even attempted to kiss him with her lips full of saliva. Jonas every time falls in trouble whenever he goes into Ross's place. So he does not want to repeat those things again and make a fun of himself.

Jonas says, "You coming or what? I can make my own way to Uncle Rick's."

Ross says, "Have patience you i***t. Hold on, I'm coming."

Ross just puts on a shirt over his shorts and comes out. Jonas says, "Is Elliott gonna be late?"

Ross says, "Usually he doesn't. So let's see."

They came in front of the house. It's behind Ross's house and about 4 minutes’ walk from there. It is a calm, shady place, full of green. This house is an A shaped building with steeply angled sides, beginning with the structural base and they meet at the top line of the roof, giving the structure an "A" shape which can be seen by standing in front of it. It is a fabulous example of art and tradition. Although its design is a bit old school, but it has it own vibes.

They pressed the doorbell. Sound of metal on wood is coming in a gradual frequency. Sound stops, a middle aged man, around 35-40 years old, pierced beard, back brushed hair, in an olive shirt and blue jogger, opens the door.

Rick says, "heyyyy it's the Scorpish g**g divided by two. Where are the other Scorpions?"

Ross says, "Hey Uncle Rick!! The thing is Peter had to go to his grandmas for some works and Elliott will be here any minute."

Rick says, "So peter's not gonna come or what?"

Jonas says, "He said he'll join us later. So you can expect to meet him before evening."

Rick says, "That's cool. Hey do you guys like bread crumbs? Mrs. has made some."

Elliott says, "Go on man! Bring some!!" Elliott is screaming from meters away.

Rick says, "Ellie my boy! C'mon everyone. Get inside."

Everyone hurriedly enters the house and takes their seats at the table for some corn bread. Rick says, “Sarah!! Give these boys some breads.” He calls his wife.

Sarah says, “Incoming,” she yells from the kitchen.

A pretty, blonde lady in kitchen apron arrives in front of them with some hot looking crumbs in her hand. Smells are everywhere. Even Robin is barking around her like he wants some too. Robin is a spaniel dog and is named after a famous British hunter Jim Corbett’s dog “Robin”. Both of the Robins are the same type of dogs.

Sarah says, “How is it boys?”

Ross says, “Oh my god it just melts in my mouth, very softy and tasty.”

Rick says, “You should’ve used a bit more butter dear.”

Sarah says, “Shut up you old man. You wouldn’t praise neither, never did.”

Rick says, “That’s tasty witch.”

Like this they always tease each other, have fun. The g**g enjoys this without uttering a single word. After eating their hearts’ content, they sit in the living room, Ross turns the TV on.

Jonas says, “Is the monopoly alive?”

Rick says, “I need to find it. Don’t know where I put it last week.”

Jonas says, “I’ll look in the shelves then. C’mon lazy lads, move your a*s a bit and help me.”

Ross says, “I have interest in playing only, Elliott go on bro.”

Elliott says, “Ok, ok. Comin.”

Suddenly Sarah comes in the living room, gets her hand behind the Desk and brings out the board. No one is much shocked. She is like this. She knows every inch of her house. She also very sincere to keep it neat and clean.

Rick says, “Don’t look at me kids. She’s the boss here you know.”

Jonas spreads the board and sets up to play. Everyone joins.

Rick says, “So, how’s school going on for you fellas?”

Jonas says, “You know this school is. Going, reading, coming back, repeat. Nothing interesting ever happens. Does anyone remember when some exciting thing happened last time?” Elliott nods his head in a negative way.

Suddenly Ross says, “A boy—“ Elliott does not let him finish the sentence. He does not want to let Uncle Rick know about it very soon.

But Rick is also a curious and a bit stubborn person. It takes a lot of experience and gut to challenge his knowledge. He starts to pressurize Ross, “What is it bud?” Ross starts to falter.

Elliott comes to rescue him, “It’s just a newbie at the school, like all other years. Nothing special.”

Rick says, “So, what did ya’ do to em? Tasted some mud? Ripped of his undies?”

Ross says, “Ow no no uncle, not that much. We didn’t have time for all these. Peter just splashed a bit water on his shirt and he went away. That’s all happened."

Rick says, “Don’t know when you guys will grow up. I’ve always ignored your sneaky things. But you really really need to get matured now boys.”

It’s really a bit strange that Uncle Rick allows all of these stuffs and never complains. Wherever they have faced adults, they have been harassed, except for this army man. Maybe a reason could be that no matter how impish they are, they all have a pure heart and extra ordinary talents in them. It could be possible their Uncle Rick sees it in them and has better aspirations.

Elliott says, “Let’s see hehe.” Elliott got a moment of relief thinking that he has been successful to change the original matter in front of Uncle Rick.

They are playing for an hour now. They are spending a quality time together. Tea has been served several times for Rick. But he does not allow the kids to have tea. He follows the rule of 18+ in tea, coffee and such drinks.

Rick says, “It’s almost 5 now. Will Peter be able to make it here?”

Jonas says, “I hope so. He never makes mistake in these type of things, does he?”

Elliott says, “hey bud have you forgot what he did the other day at school? He at first told everyone very harshly to be on time and later ended up being late himself.”

Jonas says, “How long will you tease with that incident?”

Rick says, “Elliott doesn’t leave things that easily dear.”

Elliott says, “I wonder what he was doing that day. He met me at the block and said he forgot something and went to home. Coincidentally I also forgot the homework that day…”

Ross says, “Wait wait. You did your homework??” He said with a surprised voice.

Elliott says, “I made the jerk of our apartment do it in condition that I will let him play my video games for an hour. So when I also going back to my home I saw Peter heading to a different road, completely the other side of his house. Something was cooking I am sure.”

Rick says, “Now that’s interesting. Let’s play a trick today when he comes back. He’ll come in this room and you’ll directly ask where he went. Leave the rest on me.”

Everyone agrees with the plan. It is like their habit to believe on Uncle Rick blindly. His plans, tricks and everything are always trust-able and they never got disappointed. Even when they fall into any kind of trouble, there is always Uncle Rick to rescue them. They have made a lot of memories together. He works like an advisor for them. The game ends. Uncle Rick wins it. It is a common sight these days.

Sarah says, “Looks like you’re applying your falsie tricks on them eh? Dare to play with me some days, you’ll get to know how to play. Whatever boys, let’s go to the table and enjoy your alfajors. I hope you like it.”

Ross says, “Thank God I don’t have diabetes.”

Elliott says, “If we visit here daily I’m sure we all will have diabetes.”

Rick says, “What is this Sarah? You could’ve served it after Peter comes.”

Sarah says, “Its real taste is when it is hot. So let them have it fresh, I’ve kept some for Peter too.”

Rick says, “Ok, then honey.”

Suddenly the doorbell rings. Rick says, “Looks like Peter is here.”

Ross runs to the door to open it and Uncle Rick was right. It is Peter actually. He puts off his shoes outside and walks into the house. Robin runs fast at him, barks gradually and licks his feet. Peter He turns his hands on his soft fur several times and gets to the dining table.

Rick says, “Hello, my dear. How it went there?”

Peter says, “Hey there. Oh it was just fine. So, what did I miss?”

Jonas says, “A bunch of corn breads, a monopoly match and almost this alfajor.”

Peter says, “Aunt Sarah! You forgot me?”

Sarah says, “Wait there. Here it comes. I’ve kept all of it for ya.”

Peter says, “Now we’re talking. Oh my God it looks fabulous and smells tremendous. Although I ate a lot there I’m still hungry. Bring it on.” Peter starts eating with huge joy.

Rick blinks his eye to Elliott and Elliott got the signal. He asks Peter about that day and where he went after telling him that he was going to his home.

Peter says, “You didn’t go to school?”

Elliott says, “Answer us first. You’re caught darling.”

Peter looks a bit uneasy. He starts to stutter slightly, “what, how, what do ya mean?”

Rick says, “I saw it dear Petie Tetie. Who was she?”

Peter’s face was totally white, like he just got into a huge trouble, his every secret is caught. Peter says, “She’s just a friend. I accidentally took her diary the other day from school. I went there to return it.”

Rick says, “And why did ya’ return it at the school my boy?”

Peter says, ”I thought everyone would irritate me if I was seen with her.”

Rick says, “Ok, fair enough.”

Elliott was wondering why Uncle Rick left it so easily. He was going to say something but his blinking of eye stopped him.

Rick says, “Now open your cake hole and take all the dishes in. Make your aunt proud.”

Peter says, “I better concentrate on the table.”

They had a wonderful afternoon and evening. Rick and Sarah are also very happy to see them after a month almost. The happy faces left his house at 7 and walk to their homes while planning about the next day.
