I studied the book of spells and found a way to find a Pond Of Ancestry. It's a small location spell, that uses the powers within. I don't know what that means, but there are spells that I can do myself. I wanna try do to it today, because a new moon is tomorrow night. I asked Conner if I could look for it but he got mad.
It's the main reason why I haven't told I'm doing the spell right now. It took me a day to get all the ingredients. I lied to Conner about the herbs I was gathering, said it was for a potion I wanted to make. If he finds out i'm doing this he's gonna be pissed. It took me hours to mix everything together.
The book says to say the spell, then the herbs are supposed to turn into a dark red liquid. I then pour in on a map, and it will reveal the location of a pond.
" Okay, let's do this. " I say out loud
I place the bowl in the middle of the map.
" Increnortis Locomoate. "
The contents in the bowl set fire.
" s**t!. Is this supposed to happen. "
After a few seconds the fires dies down. I look at the bowl and it's a dark red liquid.
" Oh okay. So now I pour the liquid on the map and say the spell over again, till it shows me the location. "
I pour the liquid on the map and chant.
" Increnortis Locomoate, Increnortis Locomoate, Increnortis Locomoate. "
I continue to chant and the liquid moves around and separating. The liquid goes to different spots and stain the map. Soon spots are marked all over the map, and the left over liquid disappears. I pick up the map and look at it. There's at least half a dozen spots on the map, most of them are solid color and others are fading.
They could be ones that are being contaminated. There is a slightly faded one that's close by, maybe a few days drive. It's the only one that's not as faded and close. I just have to try and figure out how to get there. I can lie but since I never left the pack before, and Conner knows I want to go to the pond.
I go to stand up and get really lightheaded and fall to the ground.I feel completely drained and can't get up. The book did say that it could could drain you of energy. If you don't have anything to channel it, spells can drain you of energy. Hopefully Conner doesn't come up, I waited till he went to bed to do this.
I hear a knock on my door. " Raven. What was that. " He starts to open the door. " I was grabbing my phone off the table and- " He stops and looks at me. " You didn't "
I smile. " Hey, whats up. "
" I told you to not to do it. " He yells.
" I'm sorry. "
He sighs. " Get up. "
" Oh umm. I can't. "
He groans in frustration. " Seriously. "
He picks me up and puts me in my bed. " Rest for now, but when morning comes you're in so much trouble. "
He stomps out of my room and slams my door.
" s**t. "
I sigh and look over. The map is still laying on the floor. I smirk and just lay in my bed, unable to move. I lay there for awhile and start dozing off. I wake up to Conner stomping around upstairs. Great. I'm in so much trouble. I sit up and get out of bed, groaning. My body is sore all over and I slowly walk upstairs.
Good thing I put the door back here, I don't have to walk outside to get into the house. That was annoying, as soon as I could I put the door back. It would've taken forever to get in the house the other way. Oh my am I sore. I reach the top of the stairs and slowly walk to Conners office. I sigh and knock on the door.
" Who is it. " Conner says annoyed.
" It's Raven. "
" Come in. " He says angrily.
I open the door and walk in and close the door.
He throws the papers in his hand on the table. " What do you think you were doing. "
" I don't know, I wanted to know if any were close. "
" I told you not to. " He yells.
" I'm sorry, if you didn't want me do the spells you shouldn't have gotten me the books. "
" I told you not to look for those things and you disobeyed. "
" I wanted to know something, I'm half witch. Half of me I don't know anything about, why wont you let me learn. "
He sighs. " I got you those books for that, I didn't expect you too go search for things. "
" What did you actually expect me to do with the books. "
" Read them, learn from them, not go on an adventure. "
" so you just want me to stay trapped here. "
" No! That is what I'm saying. "
" Yes it is. The reason I never really went into town was because you didn't want me too. "
He gets up from his seat and walks over to me. " The reason I didn't have you go into town was because you were sick. "
" What about the past few years, I haven't been sick. Every time I ask to go into town with someone, you say no. " I yell.
" Don't yell at me, I'm trying to keep you safe. " He yells back.
" Safe from what?! I can protect myself, and I have proven it! How many rogues have I taken down by myself, I'm one of the strongest fighters, even without my powers! "
" That's not what I'm saying! Werewolves are different from the other things out there! I'm not sure you can protect yourself out there! "
" I'm not gonna stay here forever in that basement! No matter what I was going to go to other places! Ever since I asked to leave you've had people follow me! "
" No I haven't! "
" What you didn't think I would notice someone following me! "
" I wanted to make sure you were safe! "
" By having someone follow me! At first the parents in this pack didn't trust me now you don't! "
" I trust you. " He says at a normal volume.
" No you don't! If you did you wouldn't have people follow me! "
" Can you stop yelling at me! " He starts yelling again.
" Why cause your emotions are going out of control! Your more like your dad then you think! "
I saw rage in his eyes and then he punches me in the face, and I fall to the ground. " I'm nothing like him! " He yells angrily.
I spit out blood and look at him. I can see the regret on his face. " I'm sorry. " He stammers. " I didn't mean too. "
He goes to kneel down, but I crawl backwards.
" I'm sorry. " He says
I get up and bolt.
" Raven!. " He yells.
I run all the way to my room and lock the basement door and my bedroom door. I jump into my bed and start to cry.
