(A new friend) ---- Strong s****l language and content!! May not be suitable for some readers. ---- One week later I moaned as Brecclan kissed down my stomach. His blue eyes peered up at me full of hunger and lust. Luca ran his tongue down my neck and across my main artery. I shivered as his hot breath floated against my skin. I looked up to find Nikolai staring down ate with his black eyes. The intensity of his gaze made my core throb as I ached for his touch. He dipped his head and took my hard n****e in his mouth sucking and nibbling causing me to moan and writhe around on the bed. Brecclan worked his way between my legs and threw my thighs over his shoulder. His hot breath floated over the apex of my thighs and I moved my hips begging for some type of relief. He devoured my p***y with his mouth just as Luca bit down on my neck feeding from me. I had both of their hair fisted in my hands as pleasure coursed through my body. Nikolai raised and made eye contact with me. His grin widened as he watched my moan and pant. "Don't you want this Brielle! Stop running! We will find you, and the longer you run the harder it will be" he chuckled. I bolted up from my sleeping bag and looked around the abandoned convenience store I had slept in for the night. My heart raced and my p***y throbbed as if the dream had been more than that. It had felt so real. I could feel their touch, and their scent invaded my body. I breathed deeply trying to calm my beating heart. I knew they were playing with me. I somehow knew they were responsible for the dream and that terrified me even more. I rolled up my sleeping back and jammed it down in my large duffel bag. I had been in this abandoned convenience store for 24 hours and it was time to move again. I hadn't been able to use my magic because it was like a homing beacon to my mates! I was forced to use only the weapons I had acquired from home before I had to run. The dark was now my safe haven. Whereas before all this happened I wouldn't have dared wander into Alkai city at dusk. Even though there was structure and stability back then, the night was when the dark side hunted. Though now they did all day, before it was survival, now it was for fun. I had witnessed a pack of Lycans hunting a man through the streets last night. They clearly could have easily caught the human, but they let him think he had a chance until finally, he had given up. He had fallen to his knees pleading for his life, and I so badly wanted to assist him but I knew what that would mean for me. I would be found by my mates. If Brecclan found out about me no one would be able to stand up against him while he siphoned my magic. Not even his father, the dragon king. The darkness would win forever. "Why Selene?" I wept silently to the moon. "What is the purpose of this?" I prayed for answers. I hadn't used my magic at full force since the Lycan had attacked me. I knew my mates had felt it and had probably come looking for me. One thing was for sure, my magic was dangerous, and the dark side of me threatened to take over the light side of me. It felt as if a war was waging in my body. Even more so of a reason why I couldn't allow them to find me. This magic would be too dangerous in their hands. I made my way through Alkai city clinging to the shadows. I planned to run until I could no longer sense the tether that guided us together. Then I would find a remote human town far away from everyone and live amongst them in peace. Maybe I would even find a chosen mate. I trekked for miles until finally, I found an abandoned house not far from the city limits. I cautiously checked out the house before finally settling down for the night. I was able to run half a bathtub of water from what was left in the hot water tank to take a bath. Washing away all the dirt and grime from the last year. After I bathed I dried off and found a room with women's clothing. I stole a nightgown and exchanged my clothing for fresh ones. I brushed my hair after drying it with a towel and finally felt like me, for the time in a year. I scoured the house, room by room. It was as if aerie energy radiated through tt. They're portraits of the family during happy times, Baby photos and wedding pictures still littered the walls. They were the only thing in the home that had been unaffected. I found what food and medication there were and finally lay my head down to get some much-needed rest on the King size bed in the master bedroom. I still slept in my sleeping bag on top of the blankets not wanting to disturb anything. Their souls and converse with me. I had never spoken to a spirit before but for some reason, I felt that if I wanted to I had the power to do it. Eventually, I closed my eyes and a sense of peace fell over me and so I slept. A sound in the house jostled me awake and I jerked upright, my ears listening for what I had heard. My eyes went to the windows. I had fallen asleep at sunrise and now it was dusk. I had slept for a full 12 hours. A squeaking sound from the closet made me jump. It sounded like a bird and dinosaur baby mixed into one. It must have been the sound that had woken me. I slowly climbed out of my sleeping bag and crept toward the closet. I hated spiders, rats, or any creepy crawling thing that existed, but my curiosity was getting the better of me. I slowly pulled back the clothes that still hung in the closet and looked inside. There was nothing. Yet I could still hear the sound, only now it seemed it was coming from the room on the other side of the wall. I slowly made my way to the room but to my frustration, I found that there was nothing there but another wall. I went back to the closet and lowered myself to my hands and knees and peered beneath the shoe shelf at the bottom of the closet. I almost missed it and had it not been for the full moon out tonight I would have. Using the light from the window created by the moon I could just make out a hidden doorway within the wall. I pushed but nothing happened. There was no handle to pull! I sat back on my calves and looked around. I noticed a blue book sitting in the corner of the closet. I shrugged my shoulders, what the hell, it may be a long shot but I had no other ideas. I pulled the book forward and heard a click. A grin spread across my face and I felt giddy as all get out. Who would've thought? Me! That's who! The door was now cracked slightly so I slowly pulled it open careful not to spook whatever was behind the door making the noises. The sound grew louder now that the door was open and I looked around me now worried that someone may hear. I lowered myself to the floor and squatted beneath the door frame entering the hidden room. If nothing else this would make a great hiding spot. Maybe I could stay here for a few days and finally catch up on my rest. I could feel my magic depleting from exhaustion. My body was feeding on my magic to keep going. Once in the room, I took in my surroundings. There was a small oval window in front of me that I didn't recall seeing when I arrived meaning it was most likely hidden by magic. Beneath the window was an old oak desk littered with papers. A quill made of the oddest feather I'd ever seen, and ink well sat beside a notepad. I picked up a wax stamp used for ceiling envelopes and looked at the markings on the bottom of it. The letter W is surrounded by intricate swirls and shapes, inside an oddly shaped star. The wax heating tool and red wax still sat upon the desk, as well as the envelopes and brown string. There were what appeared to be spells pinned to the walls of the room and in the corner was a small brick fireplace that contained a small cauldron inside it. On top of the fireplace mantle was some sort of dagger with the same symbol as the stamp. I noticed a large structure covered by a sheet in the adjacent corner and made my way over to it. I slowly removed the sheet to find a huge metal birdcage. The cage radiated with magic. Perches and toys were hanging in the cage. In the back corner, I could see a nest. I moved around to the side of the cage and peered inside gasping. A baby bird with huge eyes gazed back at me. This wasn't any breed of bird I had ever seen and I had lived in the woodland for over 6 months. Its beak was a bright red and it was covered in a fuzzy white material being too young to grow feathers yet. Its eyes were an intense blue and it looked up at me curiously c*****g its head to the side. The noise I had been hearing bubbled up out of its beak and I jumped back as a Pink forked tongue slithered from its mouth. What the hell was this thing? No bird I knew of made that sound, nor did it have a forked tongue. I searched through the papers on the desk and the ones on the wall trying to find the answer but could find nothing. He continued making the noise well into the night. Finally giving in I made my way over to him and peered inside. His food and water bowl were empty. "I'm not regurgitating food into your mouth!" I warned him. He watched curiously as I twisted off the cap to my water bottle and poured some inside his water bowl. It hopped over to it and his size shocked me. He was rather large to still have his Moulton which signified he was still a baby. He was the size of a small baney chicken. His molten along with the size of his eyes compared to his head. His claws were long and looked razor sharp. They were intended to be used for weapons and killing prey. I watched as his tongue slithered out and lapped at the water. It was obvious that whoever had him had to abandon him when the war had either killed them or driven them out of their home. I decide to stop the birds screeching I would open the cage and see if it helped because his cries would end up attracting unwanted attention. Besides that, should someone come into my newfound hiding spot and do no good when he was calling them straight to us? I pulled my sleeping bag and a pillow inside the room and lay on the floor watching the fascinating creature. He watched me for quite some time before hopping to the opening of the cage. He stood there as he studied his surroundings. He stood still just like a statue and for a moment I had thought he fell asleep until he startled me by jumping from the cage to the floor. I heard a loud screech and realized he had caught something in his talon. I watched as he ripped into the creature with his beak and devoured it. The mouse's tail hung from his mouth until he sucked it up in his beak like it was a spaghetti noodle."Whoa!" I gasped making him look at me. "So you're carnivore?" I eyed him nervously until he hopped back to his cage and jumped right back inside.
