ChapterFive - Together We Are Stronger

        “Mama left to go speak to Lawrenceʻs parents,” Holly told her sisters

        “Oh boy! Heʻs better off dealing with us than dealing with Mama” Yazzy said

        “You got that right! I just hope itʻs him and not his parents. Cause Mama can deal with him, but if itʻs his parent's fault he is the way he is, then itʻs lights out for them” Cinth chimed in

        Holly sat quietly on the bed. Her sisterʻs noticed and went to console her. 

        “Holly, there is nothing to be ashamed of. He had no right to treat you the way he did. Mama always said there are repercussions to your actions. His repercussions is Mama” Yarrow consoled

        “Yeah, sucks to be him. I just wish I had stopped it before it got to this point” Holly said

        “Holly, you are always trying to save the world. Itʻs not a bad thing, but when things get hard, you need to know when to ask for help. I know we all got our own styles and that makes us different. But we are and will always be connected. Together we are stronger” Yarrow continued

        “Always the voice of reason” Cinth rolled her eyes but giggled “no seriously though, Yarrow is right. Why donʻt we make a pact? That none of us make a decision unless all of us agree” 

“Deal!!” they all say in unison as they come in for a hug

        Ro went to speak to Lawrenceʻs parents to find out the problem was with the boy, not his parents. Heʻd been acting out and out of control. Ro would need to set him straight or either a rogue life or death was in his foreseeable future. She sat for a while and listened to the problems Lawrence had been giving them. Acting out in school. Beating up on kids. Disrespecting girls. Yelling at teachers. Not doing his school work. Donʻt even try to do chores at home. Yelling at his parents, throwing stuff and once attacking his mom. This got Roʻs blood boiling.  

        “Where is the boy now?” Ro asked

        “In his apartment in the basement,” his mother replied

        “He has an apartment? Maybe it should be earned” she said as she headed downstairs

        “Mom! How many times have I told you to GET OUT!!!!” Lawrence bellowed

        Ro let out the strongest Alpha Luna aura she had to tell this kid, she ainʻt his mama. She continues down the steps to find him curled up in the corner.

        “Iʻm sorry Alpha Luna, I thought you were my mom” he cried

        “And you speak to your mother that way? With disrespect on your tongue?” Ro growls

        “She just doesnʻt get me, Alpha Luna. Both she and my dad. They are always in my face, telling me what to do and……”

        “THATʻS ENOUGH!!!” Ro thundered

        “I am not here to listen to you whine about how privileged you THINK you are and that your parents should be grateful to have you yell at them. I will kick your ass if I even hear a whisper of it again. Do you understand? (he nods) My issue right now with you, young man is the way you treated Holly” Ro scowled at him

        Lawrence's eyes widened and Ro could feel his heart pounding in his chest

        “Oh yeah! Donʻt tell me you didnʻt know she is my daughter. Everyone knows my daughters. You are lucky she saved you from Cinth. There will be no next time for you if your attitude doesnʻt change” Ro barked

        “I understand Alpha Luna” Lawrence whimpered

        “Do you Lawrence? Do you understand the ramifications of your actions? Because of you, my daughter could just as well be scarred for life for the things you did and the way you made her feel. If not for her heart and the belief that you could change, you would be dead. I trust my daughterʻs heart and for her and only for her, I will give you a second chance. You will NOT treat your parents in the manner you have. You WILL give them the respect they deserve. You WILL help them around the house. You WILL give up this fancy apartment until youʻve earned it. You WILL not act out in school. You WILL do ALL your schoolwork. You WILL listen to your teachers. You WILL NOT treat girls with the disrespect you treated my daughter…”

        “Daughterʻs Alpha Luna. I was also a jerk to Yazzy too” he gulped as he saw his Alpha Lunaʻs eyes begin to glow in fury

        “Lawrence, Lawrence, Lawrence. This kind of action will definitely get you killed. Is that what You want? Do you want to die? Let me know, cause I can accommodate that for you easily” Ro said 

        “No Alpha Luna. Iʻm sorry. I promise I will change. No more acting like a jerk. I will apologize to my parents and your daughters and everyone else Iʻve wronged” he yelped “please donʻt hurt me” 

        Feeling like she needed to leave before laying her hands on this child she said “I will be checking in on you Lawrence. Donʻt make the same mistakes again. Count yourself lucky this time” she growled as she emanated her Alpha Luna aura that made him shiver in the corner he was cuddled in. 

        “Yes, Alpha Luna” he said and she was gone

        After her disappearance, Lawrence thought about what just took place and his situation. He knew what he was doing was going to get him into trouble one day. But man, the Alpha Luna scared the crap outta him, but it also stirred up feelings in him that it shouldnʻt have. Seeing the authority she had only made him want Holly more knowing the strong background she came from. He thought if he changed maybe she could forgive him. But he knew it would take moving mountains for that to happen. I guess he needed to move one rock at a time. In the meantime, there were apologies to be made with his parents. He didnʻt ever wanna get on the Alpha Lunaʻs bad side again. He headed upstairs to make amends.

        “Mamaʻs back” said Holly as their mother appeared in the room

        “How did it go, Mama? Is Lawrence still alive?” Holly asked

        “Yes, heʻs still alive but heʻs promised to change. We will have to see if he can live up to his promises” she said hugging her daughters. 

        “I want you girls to know that the world we live in is not all roses and sunshine. There is a lot of dark out there. Unfortunately even in our pack. This is why we want to catch it before the ugly takes over and rears itʻs ugly head” she says “you girls are my shining light in this dark. Thereʻs still a lot you girls need to learn about the world. Papa and I can only hope we as your parents can make the transition easy, however…. also know there will be times when the lessons will have to be learned by yourselves. Make sure you know that you can lean on each other ALWAYS. Use each otherʻs strengths to make yourselves strong as a whole” she explained

        “Yes Mama,” they all said in unison 

        “We already made a pact that we will make all decisions together,” Holly said proudly and their Mama was so proud of her girls. 

        “Well okay then. Looks like you girls are growing up too fast for your Papa and I. Which by the way you only have 3 more days until the move. You girls ready?” Ro asked excitedly

        “Oh yes, Mama. We canʻt wait to see our lake friends” Yazzy squealed

        “Ok, well there is no need to take any of your clothes. Papa and I will take you shopping for all new clothes when you get there. Weʻve already set up our office there so Papa and I are set. We just need all of you!” she said as she smiled lovingly at her girls.

        “Shopping for new clothes?! Oh we love shopping” Yarrow said while the rest of the girls nodded

        “Ok, then itʻs all set. Shopping for my girls it is” Ro laughed

        “Mama?” Cinth looked at their mother “are you and Papa gonna have any more babies?”

        “Well um? Hmmm? That's a great question Cinth. Would you girls like for us to have babies?” Ro asked with a lifted brow

        “Oh yes, Mama, weʻd love to be big sisters. All of our pack families and even our lake friends have babies but us. Please Mama, please tell Papa weʻd like babies too” the girls were all speaking at once

        “Whoah, okay take it easy girls. I will definitely let Papa know how you ladies feel. Papa and I talked about this right before the wedding and at that time we had decided to wait because we wanted to be a part of your lives. Sometimes babies take up a lot of time away from other kids and we just wanted to make sure all of you had our undivided attention. But…. now that YOU are asking, I guess Papa and I can revisit the idea again” Ro smiled

        “We want brothers Mama,” Yazzy said

        “No, we want sisters,” Yarrow said

        “Hey now, how about we let the Moon Goddess decide and we just be happy for healthy babies,” Ro said  

        “Yes! That sound best Mama” Holly said

        “Alright, group hug. Come here my babies” she cooed

        “Mama, weʻre not babies anymore. You know that right?” Yazzy sassed

        “You will ALWAYS be my babies,” Ro said “come on, I think grandma has dinner ready. Iʻm Hunnnnngry!”

        “Us too!!” they all said and headed downstairs

        “Gotcha! You are the weakest link, lil Ms. Holly” Sabien hackled
