"Just the guitar
This was all you, none of it me
You put your hands all over my body and told me, umm
You told me you were ready
For the big one, for the big jump
I'd be your last love everlasting you and me
That was what you told me" In the shower, I sing along with Adele. Thanks to the new speaker, I just brought, I didn't have to strain to hear over the water.
"I'm giving you up
I've forgiven it all
You set me free, oh
Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more
Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more." I watch as all the dry mud that was on my body turned the water a light brown. Last night, my whole pack run around our land's exterior. We do it every month.
Every month for the last three years, my father came up with the run to remember his father, our late Alpha. My grandfather died single handily, saving my mother from the Silver Claws. The Alpha of the Silver Claws is Leonardo Silver, the devil himself. Leonardo Silver has killed hundreds. He has destroyed packs. When he comes across a pack, he kills every living mother, father, and sadly even children. Innocent souls were lost in his passing. And the scary thing is that no one knows what he looks like.
"Ahh." I hear my mother's loud shriek. It's probably just my father chasing her through the house and tickling her.
All of a sudden, I could smell nothing but blood. I check over myself and see that I've scrubbed off a couple of my scabs from last night. Yet the scent is still so strong after I ran water over the cuts and watched the small amount go down the drain. I get out of the shower and cut off the music before wrapping my towel around myself. I open the door from my bathroom and find my mother on the floor with her blood surrounding her.
"Mom." I whisper. I start walking towards her only to stop when I see a huge gray wolf in the corner of my eye. My wolf purrs at the sight of the wolf.
The wolf takes a step in my direction causing me to take a step back. The wolf growls taking another step forward, baring his canines, daring me to move. I watch in fear as this wolf walks over to me, circling me, sniffing me.
I'm not ready to die. I haven't met my mate. He's gonna be lonely.
A nudge to my hip as the wolf bumps me back towards the bathroom. Getting the hint, I walk into the bathroom, closing the door behind me.
I have to find a way out of here.
I step back into the shower and tiptoe to look out of the window. Bodies are everywhere. Wolves fighting to the death. The bodies on the ground belong to my pack members.
"Hurry the hell up." I hear a man's voice call through the door. Even though I don't know the man outside the door, it oddly soothes me.
What the hell am I saying? That man just killed my mother. Who knows where my father is and if he's alright.
'My mother. My mother's dead.' I thought. This hits me hard. Laying on the floor of my bedroom is where the body of my mother lay.
I could feel something coming up my throat. I gasp as the lunch I just ate comes back up. Leaning over the toilet, I throw up gasping for air in the process.
I could hear the bathroom's doorknob being played with. Quickly looking over my shoulder, I watch as the door opens, and watch as this sinful man walks in. I try to move but my body won't allow me to.
His hands find their way into my hair, pulling it away from my face. When I finish throwing up, the mysterious man wipes my mouth with my hand towel that was once hanging on the wall next to the sink.
"Brush your teeth and put on clothes. I packed a bag of clothes for you, add anything that you'll need, and don't you dare to try to escape, Mate." He says before walking out of my room.
'Mate?' Was the only thing that came to my mind.
