Chapter 4: Truths Out And Challenges

When I wake up, I feel so relaxed and refreshed. I roll over on the bed to look for Jasper but he’s not there. But I could smell bacon and sausage. Next thing I know Jasper is coming into our room with a tray full of food. It smells so good my mouth starts to water.

“Good morning, Luna’s and Alpha. Meet me in our office in the pack house in 2 hours don’t be late or we’ll start without you.” Zayran mind links us all. Great now I only have 2 hours to wake up. But that’s ok that’s enough time to eat and shower.

Jasper places the tray in front of me and kisses me on the forehead before saying. “Good morning beautiful. Did you sleep well?”

“Good morning, babe. I slept great. Did you sleep well?” I say relieved.

He smiles at me and just starts laughing. It takes him a while to stop before he can talk. “I slept great too my love. You know what they say it’s easier to sleep with your mate then it is to sleep with yourself.” We both just start laughing. Now I know why he was laughing so hard. He’s a perv.

We eat our breakfast in silence. When I’m done, I get up off of the bed and go to our bathroom. I turn on the shower so then the water can warm up. I go back to the bedroom and out our bedroom to the room next door and walk in it. This room is like a large dressing room/closet it has all my clothes I quickly pick out an outfit for the day and go back to our bathroom. I shut the door undress and get into the shower. I quickly shower and turn off the water get out and find Jasper in the bathroom with his clothes. So, I turn back on the water for him and gesture that it is all his.

He undresses and walks right up in front of me and pulls me into a hug. He kisses my mark and then presses his nose into it and takes one long deep breath. Next thing I know his lips are on mine and we are in a hot enthusiastic kiss. He pushes me up against the wall and kisses me harder. His hands are traveling down my back and onto my butt. He lifts me up and I wrap my legs around his waist because I feel like I’m going to fall if I don’t. He takes one hand off my butt and puts it onto the wall. Never breaking the kiss. I know where this is going.

“I want you so bad baby. Can we please have a little fun before we got to go to the pack house?” He begs in a desperate needing voice through the mind link. I just nod as I don’t want to break the kiss or try to mind link him back as I’m finding it her had to concentrate. His grip tightens on me as he sticks his large member inside if me and starts thrusting.

Just then Zayran links us. “I’d prefer if you didn’t ask this with the mind link for the 4 of us. Also, you all don’t really have that much time for s*x better just get your butts to the pack house” Zayran says with a very disgusted voice.

“My bad thought that I was mind linking Kerah. This is going to take a bit to get used to it. I haven’t been able mind link in 9 years.” Jasper says through the mind-link with an embarrassed tone, but he doesn’t stop he just goes harder and faster. As if he needs to hurry.

Jasper puts me down and gets into the shower when we are finished. I quickly get dressed and grab the tray on the bed. I walk out of our bedroom and go downstairs to the kitchen, and I put the tray on to the counter. I quickly wash the dishes dry them and put them away. By the time I am done Jasper is downstairs and ready to go to the pack house.

We walk out the front door. Outside waiting is Zayran and Lyndy. They look up and start laughing. I go beat red and run past them. I’m too embarrassed to talk to them right now. Jasper catches up with me and stops me dead in my tracks. He pulls me into a hug. He knows just how to make me feel better. I know he didn’t mean to mind-link Zayran and Lyndy but it’s still embarrassing. I look up at Jasper and kiss him letting him know that I’m better now. His touch is all that I needed. He unwrapped his arms from around me and holds my hand. Zayran and Lyndy are right next to us now. I look at them and smile.

“Ok Kerah. What are the rules or rules you have come up with?” Zayran asks.

I look at him and mouth the words thank you. He just smiles and starts laughing again. But I quickly just start rambling out my rules that I think are good. “Everyone from ages 12 and up must train boys and girls men and women. We all must be strong. Not just mentally but physically too. Anyone age 15 and up must attend warrior class before school and after. We need to be prepared for anything. Anyone can challenge someone but whoever they challenge picks if it’s to submission or death. They need to understand that if they challenge someone the fight doesn’t stop till the person, they challenged gets either the submission or death which ever it was they choose. They must understand that if they challenge someone, they better be ready for a fight. Everyone must learn to control their wolf. If we are one with our wolf, they are easier to control. That’s why I let her out every day. So, then she can get strong too. We will have classes for both skin and wolf morning is for skin and afternoon is for wolf.” I say looking at them. My brother thinks the hardest before nodding his head in approval. I then clear my throat before speaking one last time. “We need more patrols. So, then we don’t get any more surprise visitors. Yesterday could have been worse she could have been with 100s of wolves then just herself. We got lucky.” They all nod in approval.

“Anyone else with any new rules or is that it. If that’s it, then we need to have a pack meeting this afternoon when everyone is out of school. These rules need to be put into effect at once.” Is all Zayran says looking at the others. We all shake our heads no. “Ok the meeting will be at 5pm everyone must attend I’ll link our Bata’s and Gamma’s and have them pass along the word.” He says before he and Lyndy go into the pack house to have breakfast with the pack. It would have been all of us, but Jasper and I already ate.

I remember that I forgot to mention another rule to Zayran. “Hey ZarZar, I forgot to mention one more rule. Luna’s must train too. That means Lyndy too. There will be no exceptions.”

“Ok I will add that to the rules right after breakfast. We will all sign the pack rules later this afternoon. Now go enjoy your morning.” Zayran agrees and goes back to eating most likely.

“What are you thinking about so hard?” I Jasper asks in curiosity.

“Oh nothing. I just forgot to mention a rule to Zayran. He was getting ready to write them all down for us to sign later and that one really needed to be on there.” I say blowing it off so then hopefully he won’t ask what it was that I forgot to mention. He already doesn’t like that I trained to be a warrior right alongside my brother.

“What rule would that be?” He says in a more preying voice.

“Oh, um that Luna’s must train as well. We can’t always rely on you men to protect us. We are more than capable of learning to defend our self’s. I mean just look at me. I’m an expert warrior. There aren’t many of them and there has never been a female expert warrior.” I say confidently.

“You’re not just any warrior. You’re a warrior for the moon goddess. That ‘birthmark’ you have is a mark of the moon. They only come around every so often and only when the moon needs someone to fight her battles here on earth.” He says with a confident and sure look on his face.

“No that can’t be right. Our parents would have told us this. Zayran and I have the same mark. We are both expert warriors. We are always stronger together. If one is fighting in wolf form and one is in skin form, we are weaker but if we both are in wolf or both in skin form in the same area then we are stronger. Here I can show you come with me to the training grounds. There is always someone ready for a fight my parents will be there too.” I say taking his hand and leading him towards the training grounds.

When we get there, my parents are there just as I suspected. A female comes out of the crowd and shouts. “I CHALLENGE YOU LUNA KERAH FOR YOUR TITLE AS LUNA”

Zayran’s voice comes into everyone’s heads through mind-link saying the new rules. My guess is Jasper told him of my challenge. It will take Lyndy and Zayran too long to get here. It would be too late by the time he got here.

I look back to the female. “I ACCEPT YOUR CHALLENGE. WE FIGHT TILL THE DEATH.”

She laughs before saying. “Are you sure you won’t just let me go like you did with that she-wolf from Jasper’s old pack? We deserve a stronger Luna, and you started a challenge to the death then changed it to a submission match instead and let her go home scotch free.”

I smile and laugh while slowly allowing my wolf to come forth. “I only let her go to go home and get stronger. I told her to come back, and we’ll have a death match when she is actually looking for a fight. I don’t kill out of spite. Nor for fun. You seem more than ready for the challenge. SO, WOLF UP LITTLE PUP!” I say the last part as an order.

Jasper grabs my arm so then I can’t shift and says, “Are you sure that you want do this?” He says it so quietly that only I could hear him. I nod. I quickly finish shifting and take my place in the big roped off arena. That is now surrounded by the pack. I quickly turn to face my opponent and ready myself.

I watch her very intensively studying her every move, every shift of position, every blink she makes, and every breath she takes. It’s very important to analyze your opponents. It’s so then you can predict what they are going to do and when they are going to do it.

We start to circle each other. I growl at her. I don’t dare to take my eyes off her. I know the second I do that’s when she’ll attack. She tries to pick up her pace, so then she can end up behind me, but I pick up my pace too so then she doesn’t get the chance to attack me from behind. She growls as she leaps at me. I move out of the way she slams into a tree hard. Sense she’s putting all her strength into it. She gets up just as fast as she went down. She comes at me this time faster and harder I move slightly to the side. As she passes me, I grab her by the back of her neck and bite down and throw her a good 10 feet across the arena. I her a sob and assumed it’s her mom. Not wanting to lose her daughter. I’ll have to let her know personally that she challenged me and that she heard the new rules. A challenge for a title is always to the death. Unlike an untitled challenge can be submission or death. But she challenged for a title so it’s death. She gets back up and comes at me again this time I only have time to grab her by her leg. I fling her harder this time. She ends up going outside of the arena. I look at everyone around her and growl they all back up allowing me space. I am over her now growling I grab her by the throat. Her mom starts wailing I look at the she-wolf who clearly understands what’s about to happen I bite down hard till I hear her bones snap and feel her body go limp. Her mom starts screaming and crying harder. I just look for my parents and gesture with my head towards the mother. I’ll apologize later.

Now there is another wolf in the arena waiting for their challenge. I sigh and look for Jasper but it’s too late they are on top of me in a heartbeat. I must act quickly if I want to get out of this alive. I quickly drop down to the ground and roll out from under the wolf. She hits the ground so hard that you can hear the breath get knocked out of her. I quickly get onto my feet and grab her by the throat and rip it out. Blood goes all over me. There are over 40 female wolves’ shifting and coming at me. I don’t understand why they all want me dead, but it isn’t going to happen.

I need Zayran. I look around desperately. For my brother I need the strength now more than ever. Jasper quickly pops up next to me in wolf form. He is blocking them all from me. He lets his alpha wolf out and lets out an order growl it shakes the ground all the wolves’ fall but me due to Jasper keeping me up with his body.

I spot my brother and he’s not pleased at how many want to challenge me for my title. Lyndy is in wolf form coming to help Jasper keep them all away from me. He puffs out his chest and yells. “ANYONE WHO WANTS TO CHALLENGE KERAH FOR LUNA YOU MUST WAIT YOUR TURN! YOU CAN’T GANG UP ON HER. IT’S NOT FAIR. NOW EITHER WAIT YOUR TURN OR GET LOST. WITH THAT BEING SAID IF YOUR PUP IS IN THIS ARENA WAITING FOR THEIR TURN LEAVE NOW! THEY WILL BE KILLED!” There are like 30 WOLF’S waiting. I’m going to have to just grab them up by their throat and kill them after so many they will not want to challenge me anymore. “Kerah you may continue your challenges we will keep everyone else back.” He says and with that he jumps into the air and shifts into his wolf form. I feel the power serge through me.

Just as Zayran hits the ground a wolf is running at me snapping her teeth at me as she gets closer. Once she is by my face I flip up into the air and as I go over her, I grab her by the back of the neck and crunch down as hard as I can. She hits the ground and the next wolf steps up.

She nears me and bows down out of respect and then let’s out a very vicious growl it had she wolves behind her backing up. She crouches down readying herself for the fight. She starts go around me very slowly staying remarkably close to the ground only leaving space between her and the ground. She moves so light on her feet and so quietly. If she wasn’t right in front of me then I wouldn’t even know that she was there. That’s when she leaps forward and grabs me by the back of my neck. I can hear Zayran and Jasper whimper. I know not to wiggle around as that would only make her teeth go deeper into my neck and I really don’t want that. She tosses me across the arena and into a tree. I heard my shoulder snap. I know it’s broke. I try to hide the fact that it broke so I crouch down and wait for her to come to me doing the same movement she did I kept my body close to the ground and move slowly towards her. When I get close enough, I leap at her and grab her throat and bite down till I feel her bones snap and her body go limp.

Jasper comes running up to me to check on me, but I just limp past him trying to make it look like it doesn’t hurt as bad. But he can see right through me. “Babe you should stop. Your shoulder is broken. You can’t go on like this. You’ll die if you keep going.”

“Jazzy I’m fine. I can’t stop. Not yet. I must keep going till they back down. Just watch my back please. You know the rules just like I do. I can’t submit. And I’m not willing to die. So, I’ll keep going till they give up. I love you baby.” I say as the next wolf comes and gets into position.

Jasper stands in a protective stance ten feet behind me as the wolf comes charging at me. I quickly grab her up slam her down and snap her neck. I had just barely enough time to through the dead wolf with the others before I’m being attacked again. I hear my wrist snap this time at least it’s the same arm of my broken shoulder. I quickly grab her up and shake her until she goes limp. I just drop her onto the ground and get ready for the next fight.

The next wolf slowly approaches me. She is seeing my wounds. So, then she knows where to attack. She starts coming at me faster. She leaps up into the air and grabs my tail on her way to the ground. I hear a snap and feel tons of pain coming from my tail. Next thing I know I’m flying. This time I put my feet towards the tree I’m about to hit and spring myself off it and back at the wolf. I land on top of her and grab her by the neck and break it. She hits the ground with a loud thud. I quickly turn my head to look at my tail and it’s broken. I’m going to feel that for a while.

I must start making these quick. Before I get seriously hurt. I don’t see the next challenger, so I think I’m done. When out of nowhere I got jumped on top of. She grabbed my ear and tried to tear it off. That hurt. When she let’s go of my ear I dash to the side and get her by her throat. She starts to wiggle to get out of my grip which only makes my teeth go further into her flesh. I get tired of feeling her wiggle, so I just chomp down and kill her. I drop her lifeless body on the ground. I look at the group of wolfs who want to challenge me and it has gone done from 30 to maybe like 9 more.

The next wolf is running at me at full speed growling and snapping her jaw at me. She tries to grab my nose, but I dodge her quickly. I turn around as fast as I could and grab her by her face and tore, I don’t know what I tore off, but it’s no longer attached. I then grabbed her throat and tore it out. She lands on the ground. I turn around to see my next challenger but my surprise there is no one left.

Suddenly, my vision is starting to spot and go dark. All I can see is Jasper. I feel sparks shoot through my body. Everything goes dark. But I can still feel and hear everyone around me. All I hear is Jasper telling me that he loves me and not to leave him. Then I black out.
