CHAPTER SIX

Adriana's pov: I stood in front of the mirror wearing a pencil skirt and a cute lace top. Since I don't have any kind of experiance in wearing these, I changed into a skinny black jeans, a white shirt and black suit jacket over it. Again I stood in front the mirror  looking satisfied. I let my hair down. I paired it with black high heels. I bid farewell and started my engine towards the Williams Inc. These four weeks were hectic. We were so worn out. The late nights to  complete the project and plans to lure her out. But thought of Max never left me. Why would a man who was the heir for a rich  company. I reached his company. I took out my laptop and files. I have heard about The David Williams. He was arrogant, cruel kind of boss. Well, in short, we can call him a jerk. My eyes went wide at the building. It was so tall, that it could touch the sky. I took the steps to the building and opened the front glass door. It pretty much classy. I went to the reception where a woman looked like same age as me was standing. She looked me from head to toe while  I was approaching. "Excuse me,  Can you please tell me where is the conference room? " She looked at me as I was a weirdo or something. Then she asked " Do have an appointment?" "Yep. My name is Adriana Carter from Carter's Inc." I said. "Ria!  You are here" I heard someone calling me and instantly knew it was Max cause he was the one who gave that nickname. I looked and saw Max. "Hey! Max"  I said. He kind of laughed when he saw me. 'What?' i asked.  I thought  you will wear  a pencil skirt and blouse like a real lady. But you are really different." I laughed. "come on they are waiting for us,even the person you call jerk has reached." Max said gesturing me to the elevator. He was wearing a grey suit. And I must say he looked stunning. We took the elevator and reached the eleventh floor were meeting was going to held. We opened the door to the room and went to sit on the chairs which were vacant for us. Max took his seat at my right. I looked opposite and saw Ron sitting  with his secretary and two men. They had a smirk on their face.I smirked at them. Max must have saw this he too smirked at them. We looked each other and smiled. When I was making myself comfortable, a shiver ran down on my spine. I felt someone was looking at me. When I looked around, I met a intense chocolate  brown  eyes looking at me, more like looking into my soul at my right. My heart started to beat fastly. I tore my gaze away from him and concentrated on the presentation that Ron's company was going to start.
