Chapter 4

Lena’s Pov “Do you want to continue watching the show or do you want to get out?” The handsome looking guy… An Alpha asked me, his voice deep and laced with authority. His piercing green eyes locked onto mine, waiting for an answer. The room felt too small, his presence suffocating. I swallowed hard, trying to mask the trembling in my hands, “This is my room.” I repeated, my voice steady but quiet. His lips quirked into a smirk, the kind that could melt anyone’s resolve, “Your room?” he echoed, his tone laced with disbelief, “You must be joking.” “Haha! A little omega like you dares to share a room with him?” The woman said derisively, staring at me, “With the way you're dressed, you would scare everyone here at night! Do you even know who he is? He is Kai - the number one hockey player in the school and the most powerful Alpha here!” My cheeks burned with embarrassment and anger. I glanced down at myself, suddenly hyper aware of my plain clothes and omega scent. Was she mocking me because I wasn’t dressed like someone who belonged in a room like this? Or was it simply because I was an omega? I clenched my fists at my sides, refusing to let him see the effect his words had on me. “I’m not joking.” I replied firmly, meeting his gaze again. The smirk didn’t fade as he said to me, “Out.” He commanded, his voice sharp and final. My eyes widened, my fists clenched. However, I still moved to leave the room, I didn't want to continue to watch them kissing after all. “Not you. Her.” He pointed to the girl, “Don't make me repeat myself.” She blinked in surprise, clearly not expecting to be dismissed so abruptly, “But…” “Now.” The authority in his voice left no room for argument. She scrambled to gather her things, throwing a glare my way before hurrying out of the room. The door clicked shut, leaving just the two of us. My heart pounded in my chest, the silence between us heavy. The Alpha crossed his arms, leaning casually against the back of the couch, “So, what’s an omega like you doing in a place like this?” “I was assigned here.” I replied stiffly, my tone a bit colder than I expected it to be. I was scared but I could not let this Alpha think that he could intimidate me, not when I had to survive in a school filled with people like him. He arched an eyebrow as if amused by my response, “Assigned here, huh? What's your name, Omega?” The way he said "omega" made my skin prickle, like it was a title that defined me, boxed me in, “Lena.” I answered, keeping my voice even. “Lena.” He repeated my name slowly, as if testing it out. He took a step closer, his intense green eyes narrowing slightly, studying me. I instinctively moved back, the distance between us suddenly feeling too small, “What are you doing?” I asked, trying to mask the unease in my voice. “Relax.” He said, his lips twitching into a small smirk, “I’m just curious. You’re different.” “Different how?” I countered, narrowing my eyes. But now that he was closer, his scent overrode my nose, making my breath hitch. He was handsome, literally so handsome that I wouldn't blame girls if they all swooned over him. His buttons were open until half of his chest was exposed. He was tall, taller than Liam whom I thought was the tallest werewolf I knew. Before he could answer, the door swung open, and two more figures stepped inside. My breath caught in my throat as the green eyed Alpha introduced them, “ Dr. Lucas Steele, College Doctor, and Alpha of the Red Moon Pack.” He pointed to the one who wore a pristine white coat, his presence calm but commanding. “ He is Adrian Blackwell, Biology Professor of the College,” He pointed to the other one. The other was older, his tailored suit and air of authority marking him as a professor. He was also an Alpha, and judging by the lines of experience etched into his face, he was someone people didn’t dare cross. Both of them paused, their gazes falling on me. The professor’s brows furrowed slightly, his sharp eyes assessing me, “Who’s this?” He asked, his tone mild but carrying an edge of curiosity. Lucas grinned, clearly enjoying the moment, “This is Lena, she's an Omega.” He said, gesturing toward me, “And she claims this is her room.” Adrian raised an eyebrow, exchanging a glance with the professor before looking back at me, “Your room?” “Yes.” I said quickly, squaring my shoulders, “That’s what I was told.” Lucas chuckled, shaking his head, “She’s got spirit, doesn’t she?” He said to the other two, his voice full of amusement. “An Omega in this school. That's rare… Why are you here?” The doctor questioned, his eyes filled with curiosity, “Do you know what you have gotten yourself into?” I swallowed, refusing to let them see my fear, “I’m not here by choice, but I’ll do what I have to.” Their laughter filled the room, not mocking but as if I’d just said something unexpectedly entertaining. “I like her.” Lucas said, leaning against the couch with a smirk. I didn’t wait to hear more, “Excuse me.” I said abruptly, my voice firm as I turned toward the bed I assumed was mine. Pulling down the blinds around it, I sank onto the mattress, my heart pounding. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the privacy offered by the drawn blinds was a small comfort. The room itself was huge, far bigger than anything I had expected in a place like this. Each bed had its own corner with enough space to feel separate, even though we were all sharing the same room. I laid down, letting the tension slowly drain from my body. My muscles ached, and the faint sting of the injuries I’d been hiding reminded me that I wasn’t fully healed yet. Carefully, I sat up and peeled off my shirt, wincing as the fabric brushed against a particularly tender bruise. My reflection in the small mirror beside the bed showed the extent of the damage, dark purple bruises were scattered around my sides. I let out a slow breath, biting back tears, “This wasn’t the time to break down.” I murmured to myself, I needed to stay strong, especially now. The people in this school weren’t going to show me any kindness, and weakness was something I couldn’t afford to display. As I reached for the small spirit to clean my wounds, the blinds around my bed suddenly shifted. I froze, clutching the spirit around my palms while my upper body was naked. Standing there, framed by the dim light of the room, was the Lucas. His eyes widened slightly, and for a moment, neither of us said a word. “What are you doing?” I screamed, my voice sharp despite the heat rushing to my cheeks.
