CHAPTER ELEVEN

Trevor slammed the marble on the floor, and a portal appeared. They jumped into it and landed on Ssessop. The place was destroyed, fire burning from every building. People running and yelling on top of their lungs. The run to the bar Trevor and Azariah met the other night. People were coming out of the bar, some even burned. Some were waving their wands, but the fire wasn’t getting extinguished. They entered the bar and they could hardly see anything because of the smoke. “We need to find Emily,” Trevor shouted enough for Sebastian and Azariah to listen. “Go and check the restrooms. And Azariah, go check on the back. I will check the kitchen.” They nodded and went their separate ways. Trevor ripped part of his shirt, pulled some wine on it, and wrapped it around his mouth and nose. He touched the doorknob to the kitchen. Then he retreated his head just as quickly. “Dammit,” he cursed. Then kicked the door twice or thrice and it opened. He went in screaming for Emily, but she didn’t answer. The rooftop began felling. The pillar missed him by a near miss. He looked around for almost fifteen minutes. And just as he was heading to the door, he heard someone coughing. He turned and saw Emily buried under the boxes. He charged towards her. Then jacked her from the boxes just in time before the fire pillar fell on her. Then he lifted her and ran towards the door. He left the room and immediately spotted Sebastian and Azariah waiting for him. “Is she ok?” Sebastian asked. “Yeah, she is just unconscious.” “We should leave or we will be the ones who will die,” Azariah said, and they went outside. People were still running up and down. The fire kept increasing as rapidly as hell. Trevor gave Emily to Sebastian and stepped a few steps from them. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and opened them back. He flexed his shoulders, and the wings appeared. The shouting died down as everyone stopped to look at Trevor. He flipped his wings and flew. Then he breathed out his archangel blue fire and the fire from the bar began extinguishing slowly. Everyone gasped, their eyes still fixed on Trevor. He turned to the other buildings and began breathing out the blue fire as he flew. “Will you help him?” Sebastian snapped at Azariah. “I’m a witch, you i***t. Not whatever he has turned into,” she gestured at Trevor. “My spells won’t work they have been trying, but it’s not working.” “Can’t you wake her up?” He asked. “I can try.” She waved her wand, and purple light went from the tip of her wand to Emily. After a few minutes, she coughed, but still, her eyes were shut. “She will be up in a few minutes,” Azariah assured her. Trevor did a perfect flip on the air and then landed a few feet from Sebastian and Azariah. He flexed his shoulders, and the wings went in. “What the hell are you looking at? Start helping each other and find the solution to repair your buildings,” Trevor snapped at everyone. “Hurry up!” Some begin helping the injured got them up and lay them to the other side, while they did repairing spells. Others ran into the buildings, presumably to see if there were any survivors. “How is she doing?” He asked as he reached where they were. “She will be better in a few minutes. Her bones are still healing,” Azariah responded. “This is clear the Academy was here,” Trevor said through clenched teeth. “So where do we now? Since they have left,” Sebastian spoke. “I don’t....... Or the shirt,” he went and picked his bag with was laying a few feet from them. He removed the shirt, “we can track them with this.” “And her?” Sebastian asked, looking at Emily. “You!” He called one of the people running, helping around. The man turned and went to Trevor, “take her. We might be back. But just be alert, they might come back. And tell everyone to keep their eyes open and work together, eh?” “Yes, sure. Just out of curiosity, are you the half-demon half wizard guy?” “Yeah. But just do what I said. Don’t think about that too much.” Sebastian gave Emily to the man, and he went away. “Here,” Trevor handed the shirt to Sebastian. Sebastian took the shirt and sniffed it countless times, then looked up at Trevor and Azariah. “Got them,” he smirked. “Nice, let’s go,” Trevor threw the last black marble, and a gateway opened. They quickly jumped in and landed in a purple-looking place. It was dazzling. No buildings, just an empty space. The only thing they could see were glowing rocks miles from them. But other than that the all place was just a magnificent-looking planet. “Oh, no,” Azariah gasped. “What?” Trevor and Sebastian asked. She just began pacing around. Beating her hands together. Trevor went over and stood in front of her. “Azariah, what the hell is going on?” He demanded. “Things are about to get messier,” she sighed nervously and continued pacing. “Why? Will you explain what is going on? My family’s lives are in danger. And you just pacing won’t help ok? Why are things about to get messier?” She stopped, “this place is called Retfa. It’s where the academy comes when they need more powers. And not just ordinary powers. Powers that can bring Armageddon. We need to stop them from reaching the stones,” she looked ahead of them. “Let’s go then,” Sebastian said, and they began running as fast as they could. They reached the glowing rocks. Azariah stepped forward. She muttered something in a foreign language, then the purple light left the tip of her wand and struck the rocks. After a few minutes, the rock slid open. She waved for them to run inside, and they did just that. It was even brighter inside. The rocky halls looked like precious stones. They were so sparkly that you can even see your reflection in them. They ran through the passage hall. Then reached an opening. A room thrice Trevor’s livingroom. Then, as they turned, they saw four men standing on a glowing rocky table. Two were facing their backs on them while the other two faced them. Azariah flicked her wand and as the spell hit the glowing table, the surrounding men went flying and slammed the wall. Then fell to the ground with a groan. Sebastian tapped his werewolf powers and ran towards one man. Trevor called to his wand. He waffled his wand, and the green light came to life. It went and struck a man who was not too far from him. Then he shadow walked and punched the man on his spine before he even fell to the ground. Trevor sent the jinx, but the man moved and the jinx missed him by an inch. “You thought you could run from me forever?” Trevor asked as they began rounding on each other, but maintained the same distance between them. “Why would we run away from you? You are nothing compared to us, kid,” the man smirked. “The red-haired lady says otherwise.” “What red-haired lady?” He demanded. “I don’t know. The wife to one of you.” “That b........” “Dude, I know she is a snitch, but you are going too far. She didn’t give me the information willingly. I had to force it out of her. So if you want to take it out on someone, do it on me.” The man threw punches and bolts of fire went flying Trevor’s way. He ducked and dodged as he can towards the man. Then, just as he reached the man, his face impacted with the man’s fist. He went cartwheeling and struck the rocks, then fell on the floor. But quickly scrambled to his feet. The man charged towards Trevor. His face burning with anger. Trevor sent jinxes and spells, but the black man dodged each one of them. He punched Trevor in the stomach. And as he bent his head. The man uppercut Trevor. His legs left the ground and then he fell flat on his back. The man went and stood beside him. Trevor tried to get up, but the man pinned him to the ground. The man trembled but quickly composed himself. “We will deal with you later,” the man breathed heavily as if he was running out of breath. “We....” The man almost fell, but his friends caught him. “We need to leave,” the other man said. And within seconds, they winked out of sight. Trevor took sighed then went unconscious. After about an hour, he opened his eyes, then groaned, touching his head. He got up, then saw Sebastian and Azariah laying five to six feet from him. Both of them were unconscious. He limped to them, then kneed down beside Sebastian. “Dude, wake up,” he said, but Sebastian moved no muscle. He felt his pause, then sighed in relief. “Wake up, you bastard,” Sebastian didn’t wake up. He turned and kneed beside Azariah. “Azariah, wake up,” his voice trembling. He felt her pause as well, and she was breathing. “Will you both wake up!” His voice echoed. He did not know where the academy went to. And now his team was laying unconscious on the ground. He had no idea what to do. The world seemed to tremble in front of him. What if the Academy went to his house? Then a thought hit him that made his shoulders relax. The academy could not enter his house because of a force he still did not know. But what if whatever they were doing in Retfa made them more powerful to break the force preventing them from entering his house? But the most thing he was certain about was the academy couldn’t stay with him in one room for a long period of time. It had been only minutes, and they began losing their balance. And that was an added advantage. He got up. Looked around then held his hand, but the wand didn’t appear in his hands. He began walking around the place. Then he spotted something shining a few feet from him. The hair at the back of his head stood up. He limped and got to his knees. He slowly picked it up. A tear dropped from his left eye. He examined the two pieces. The wand was glowing where the two pieces separated. He began putting them to gather, but it didn’t work. He kept on trying multiple times, but nothing seemed to work. His eyes were now flooded with tears. The thought of him not having a wand seemed to stab his heart more than anything. It was his father’s wand. After Siobhan took his wand, he took his father’s wand. And he had grown attached to it for the past years. He then rubbed his tears and got up. He examined the room. Then spotted Azariah’s wand. He limped and got it. He went back to his broken wand. Then, “repairal!” He shouted. Purple light left Azariah’s wand and struck his wand, but it didn’t get fixed. He repeated the spell multiple time but nothing wakes. He turned to Sebastian and Azariah. Both of them were still unconscious. He waved Azariah’s wand and disappeared, then seconds later, appeared inside his house. Everyone got alarmed and turned to look at him. “Erup, we need to leave now,” Trevor said. “Will, you at least tell us what is going on?” Loveness asked. “I will explain everything later. Erup, let’s go. And boys, can you do me a favor?” They nodded, looking at Trevor with questionable expressions. “Good. I need to look through the books in the library. And see if there is any spell to repair a wand,” his eyes got watery. “Trevor, is everything ok? Where is Sebastian?” Natasha asked. “I said everything is ok. Erup, let’s go,” he hesitated, “didn’t you hear me dammit?” He snapped. “I’m coming,” Erup said and ran to Trevor. Saying nothing, he waved Azariah’s wand, and they disappeared.
