Time flew by. The moon slowly crept its way up. Trevor and Sebastian ready to go.
“Please take care of yourselves and call after you are done,” Loveness said.
“Yes, we will,” Trevor dipped his head.
“Don’t just say we will. Update us so that our hearts interest at easy, ok?” Natasha scolded.
They just nodded, then said goodbye to their kids, and everyone and they stepped into the gateway. They landed inside the house in Kabulonga to get a few things. And after about ten minutes, stepped into another gateway.
They landed in a dark forest. The only source of light was the moon, but that was not enough to see.
“Took you long enough,” a woman’s voice said behind them.
They jumped, ready to dismember her. Then they relaxed their shoulders.
“It’s, just you?” Trevor said lamely.
“Yeah, were you perhaps expect someone else?”
“No.”
“Hey Sebastian,” Azariah said upon noticing him
“Hey Azariah,” Sebastian said.
“Why did you ask us to meet you here? It’s very dark, and I actually thought we should have gone through all of this. We do not know where they are. So this might take us all night,” Trevor said.
“You worry too much, son. My men took care of that. They know where the Academy is. But be warned it’s a very protective place.”
“We will deal with that when we reach the place. So where is it located?” Trevor asked.
“I can shadow walk us from there “
“Wait. How do you know that place?” Sebastian asked, looking at Azariah with a questioning glare. “You have been to this place, haven’t you?”
“No. And I went to see if it was true, you stupid child. Do you think I love working with you two? Hell no. You have the worst reputation ever. Everyone seems to be against you two. So keep your wings wrapped up, ok? Why did you even bring him here?” She looked at Trevor angrily.
“Because he is my friend, and a badass werewolf. We need him. And he would have killed me if I left him like yesterday. And we will be working together at least until we find them. So you need to find a way of bonding with each other, ok?” They nodded. “Good, now Azariah take us were those assholes are hiding.”
She moved and touched them, then after a few seconds they appeared. Yet in another forest.
“Where to?” Trevor asked.
“Follow me,” she said, and they went towards the north.
They scrambled through the trees, then they heard people talking about a few feet from them. They stopped moving and stood still.
“Couldn’t you have shadow walked us just inside where the academy is?” Sebastian snapped, but kept his voice low.
“I didn’t enter inside. And I don’t think it would be nice to alarm them.”
“Will you two keep it down?” Trevor scolded.
The voices they were hearing died down, then they heard hissing sounds. They exchanged nervous glances.
They began walking as quite as possible but the hissing sounds were getting louder.
They walked and finally reached outside the forest. They reached a big building; it was kinda old but displayed a dashing figure. The gate was black with writings on it, ‘the great academy.’ They walked forward as cautious as they could be. The scary part was there were no guards outside or anything that screamed the place was protected.
Then, just as Azariah touched the gate, a man oozed behind them.
“Where do you think you are going?”
They turned around slowly.
Trevor and Azariah shadow walked to the two men.
Trevor punched the man in the stomach and sent him flipping on the ground. He then said the spell, and it hit the man. The man spoke, but the voice didn’t come out. He again shouted, still muted. He looked at Trevor and made a rude hand gesture.
Trevor held his hand, and the man got pulled like a magnet and ended up in Trevor’s grip.
“Make that gesture again,” Trevor said angrily. But the man instead spitted on Trevor.
He glared at the man, then flexed his shoulders. The wings appeared. He flapped them and flew, still holding on to the man.
He flew very high before he let go of the man. The poor bastards went failing and screaming, though his voice couldn’t be heard. Changing himself from a human form to a serpent.
Then, as Trevor saw that the man was a few feet from slamming himself on the ground, he went flying down. And caught the man just in time.
He looked at Azariah she and Sebastian were waiting for him and the other serpent’s body was lying down. His head a few feet from its body.
The man’s eyes widened after seeing what they had done to his friend.
He spat venom at Trevor, but suddenly a shield appeared, and the venom hit the shield and fell. Trevor turned to the man, his eyes glowing.
“Don’t do that again,” Trevor said and let go of the man. “So let’s try this again.”
The man was just rubbing his hands nervously. Sebastian and Azariah moved and stood with Trevor.
“So you are gonna help us enter inside. And this is not a question. If you value your life then you will do this.” The man just nodded, “good.” He waffled his wand, and green light struck the man. “So how do we get past the gate?”
“There is a password you have to say for it to help.”
“Do tell,” Sebastian said.
“It’s...... “
“Alright. Move who do you think is gonna say the stupid password if it isn’t you?” Sebastian said.
They walked to the gate. The man said the password, and the gate opened inwards.
“Wait,” Azariah said, and they turned to look at her. “What if they are expecting us? Or maybe they a booby-traps inside. This bastard will surely want us to get caught.”
“For the first time, you have said something sensible. Serpent what booby-traps are installed inside?” Sebastian said.
He didn’t answer.
“I didn’t mute you did I?” The man nodded, “then answer,” Trevor said.
The man explained to them how the building was. The doors they can use to escape if things get worse. And the number of traps installed and how the serpents are stationed inside.
After he finished, Azariah gave her wand a casual flick, and they became invisible. They entered inside and the gate closed behind them.
The man led the way to the back door, and they entered. The inside was only lit by a candle hanging on the wall. They walked down the marble staircase, and then the man stopped walking as they reached a door.
“Why did you stop?” Trevor asked.
“This is the common room. The academy is inside,” the man said.
“Then let’s go,” Sebastian said. “Did you think we were gonna leave you alone?” He asked.
The man just turned and flew the door open. The room was the only brightest in the entire building. It had candles surrounding it. They were four chairs in front and benches on the other side of the room. But they were no one inside.
“Are they not supposed to be here?” Trevor asked.
“They are,” the man said, stunned and nervous.
“He is not telling the truth,” Azariah and moved close to the man, “where are those freaking leaders of yours?” She asked, her face inches from his. “Why are you lying to us?”
“I pro.......”
“Don’t even bother yourself, dumbass. You have been caught. Not before he obliterates you,” he pointed at Trevor, “you might consider telling us where the academy is.”
“No. I swear.......”
“I’m done with this bullshit,” Trevor held his hand and pushed Azariah aside. Then he lifted the man and turned him upside down. He then began swinging the man in the air about twenty times. Then stopped. “Still not gonna tell us the truth?” The man just kept quiet. “Alright, hopefully, you said goodbye to your family.” His eyes began glowing together with his veins. He held the other hand up as well, then began widening his hand, making the man’s body stretch.
Then bones began protruding outside his skin. Azariah looked away. Trevor kept on widening his hands. The man screamed in agony as his all limbs got uncovered from the skin. Then his body split in two and blood went splashing over them.
“Dude, you seriously need to see a specialist,” Sebastian said as he went closer to Trevor.
“I agree. I’m not one of the good witches but dismembering a person like that,” Azariah said.
“Oh, please. You have both killed before. And this asshole wasn’t gonna give in. So I had to do what I did.”
“You could have done it less horrific, man,” Sebastian said, patting Trevor’s back.
“Should we discuss this somewhere else? Because I could sense serpent’s blood and it’s getting closer,” Azariah said.
Trevor took his last marble and threw it. A gateway erupted, and they immediately jumped in. Seconds later, they landed inside the house in Kabulonga.
They were bloody and filthy. But despite that, they went and threw themselves on the couches. They stayed in silence until.
“s**t,” Trevor said and immediately got his phone.
Sebastian and Azariah just looked at him, stunned.
Trevor pressed on Loveness’s phone number and called.
“Loveness, are you ok? Is everyone ok?” He asked desperately. “Are Emit and Hephzibah there?”
“Yes, Trevor, we are all fine. But what is going ok? Are you ok? You don’t sound too good,” Loveness spoke.
“We are fine here. But just stay inside. We didn’t find the academy. So chances they might come there. So tell the boys and those two old bags to stay alert. And don’t forget to tell me if anything comes up ok?”
“Yes, I will. Just concentrate on finding them, ok? And take care of yourselves.”
“Yes. But please if the academy shows up. Don’t hesitate to run into the library. It’s the only safest place you can be in.”
“Yes, we will do that.”
“Alright bye,” and he hung up.
“What’s up?” Sebastian asked,
“Nothing, I was just checking on them. Since the academy was not there, I thought they would go to my place. I mean we still don’t know who wants to kill my baby.”
“So what’s next?” Azariah asked.
“Is there no place they could be at? We need to find this bastard before they finish killing all wizards and witches. And Sebastian, I think you should go home and help there. Emit and Hephzibah are old so they might need your help. Azariah and I will handle everything.”
“The boys will deal with that. I’m not leaving you alone here.”
“I will be with him,” Azariah mentioned.
“Please. Trevor, you just need to relax, man. You know your kids are bad news when they choose to. And teaching the academy manners wouldn’t be had. And they have a library they can go to. With that been said, I’m staying here. Period.”
“But.....”
“Trevor, please,” Sebastian interrupted.
“Just let him tag along. Now, how are we gonna move? It’s already twenty pm. We don’t know how many witches and wizards are remaining in Lusaka. So we need to do what we have to do fast,” Azariah spoke, and headed to the fridge.
“I don’t even know where to start. The only lead we had turned out to be useless. Unless you have something else?” He looked at Azariah, who was coming with a glass of champagne and three wine glasses.
“No,” she sighed and sat the bottle and wine glasses on the table.
She opened it and pulled wine glasses in the glasses. They each took one glass and began sipping in.
“If we can get something of there’s then I can sniff them,” Sebastian suggested.
“Why the hell did you keep that all this time. We forgot you are a dog and can sniff things,” Azariah said sarcastically.
“Ah, so fun. So all we need to do is go to their house again and get clothing belonging to one of them. Then we have the bastards.”
“Shall we?” Trevor drunk the remaining of his wine.
