Chapter 13 Sapphire's reunion

She asked around to see where Eris was… the others being a little curious why, but Sapphire explained herself, and of course, they told her. So, when she got to her temple called Tartarus, she got to have her reunion with her mom.

“Hey-mom it’s me Sapphire…” she felt nervous, but she was somehow calm about meeting her mom. Like she had met her before somehow.

“Ah, Sapphire it’s so good to see you again causing mischief?” Eris was happy to meet Sapphire too, now she can cause double trouble with her.

“Not yet but give me time.”

“Ah that’s my girl…so what did you think of Antonio? He’s cute, isn’t he?”

“Yeah, he is, but I’m happy Christine got to find someone. He seems like a nice guy.” 

“He’s like her knight and shining armor.” Eris seemed disgusted by that like it was cloyingly sweet.

“Aww, how sweet so when do I get to have my powers?” Sapphire seemed genuinely happy for Christine about it. Although she hasn't spent too much time with him yet.

“Well, for now, you got a little but Zeus’ rule is that new gods/goddesses have to learn to be a ‘true hero’ or something along those lines.” Eris seemed annoyed about that rule, course most of the parent gods were too, but Eris makes it more known about how much she doesn't like it.

“I see so much power do I have?” Sapphire seemed genuinely curious about her powers, but she knew that she of course didn't have her full power like Christine yet.

“Enough to cause an earthquake if you wanted to.” Eris smiled a devious smile like they could cause some good chaos together.

“Hmm… tempting but I might save that for later. Why didn’t you let me stay?” Sapphire seemed sad almost like she was going to cry when she asked.

“I wanted you to stay it’s just that stupid rule Zeus has. You’re here now and together we can make glorious chaos!” Eris smiled another devious smile at Sapphire.

“That sounds fun, but it’d be even better when I get my full power.” 

“Yeah, you’re right it will be better… but come and see our lovely home.” Eris showed her around her temple and showed her "pets". 

“Wow, mom you sure got a lot of pets…” Sapphire got a little nervous with all these dangerous "pets".

“Ah, but our pets cause more chaos… it’s so much fun! Like Cetus here… the mortals call him the Kraken…” Eris was proud of her strange and dangerous "pets." All the glorious chaos she can cause with them.

“That explains a lot about our pirate stories, oh well.” Sapphire shrugs it off and listens to what else Eris has to say.

“Our scorpion… well let’s just say he can be deadly for anyone who makes him mad… except for us.” 

“That sounds-" She gets nervous pulling on the collar of her shirt. "Fun mom, you go ahead and do that.” Sapphire backed away slowly from them.

“I know right, but I intend to make the whole mortal world like this…” Eris smirks as she waves her hand around the room.

“Then it should be quiet-uh nice then.” Sapphire tries to be polite, but imagining the world as a creepy desert like place where there's no human kind... she shutters at the thought and keeps going.

“Yeah, and I almost succeed if that stupid pirate hadn’t taken that book away from me… I hate making promises, we're bound for all eternity.” Eris hated being reminded about him...

“That sucks… gotta remember that the next time I make a promise.” 

“Yeah, make sure it won’t haunt you as it does to me… anyway come over here.” Eris shows Sapphire a floating globe, but it's much more special than that.

“And you got a globe why?” Sapphire was curious about this realistic globe.

“Ah it’s not just a globe it’s the actual mortal world… and if one of us pulls one thread, the entire world will go into glorious chaos!” She smirks as she stares at it. Debating if she wants to mess with them.

“Like what…. tidal wave, earthquake?” 

“I don’t know whatever I’m in the mood for… oh and what could be more perfect a pirate looking for a treasure.” Eris smiled another devious and curious smile when they saw the ship.

“Wait that ship looks familiar. Not sure why though.” Sapphire stares at it trying to remember where she had seen it before.

“Oh, friends with pirates how mischievous of you I’m so proud.” Eris wipes away a fake tear.

“Thanks, mom I knew you’d be proud.” Sapphire wasn't sure how to react to that.

“Well, of course sadly (for now) there’s a limit on how long we can spend doing mischief together you gotta go…” Eris grumbles. She doesn't want Sapphire to go.

“Aww and we were having so much fun.” Sapphire was disappointed with the fact that she had to go.

“Well, we’ll meet again my sweet.” 

“Alright bye, mom I’ll miss you.”
