The soft touch of Creed's hand caressing Rosalie's rosy cheek was what woke her up from her slumber. She opened her eyes a little, thinking that it was already morning, but the room was very dark with minimal moonlight swimming in through the curtains. She could hardly make out Creed's figure as he lay on the bed and on top of the covers.
"I didn't mean to wake you up," he said and she instantly recognized his voice. Her heart fluttered as she raised her hand to try and see his face, but she only saw a vague outline of it.
"What are you doing here?" She asked in a low voice, moving her hands down to the covers. She did not remember what happened the few minutes before she fell asleep, then again, who did? She remembered taking a bath and changing into a night gown before going into bed.
