We've all seen evil things happening here, does it make us evil that we no longer try and stop it?

Mr Creeds's footsteps echoed off into the distance.
What a d**k.
I stared at Raine who still clutched my hand. Her blue eyes were round with wonder.
Please don't say she believed Mr Creeds "I'm not your enemy" crap.
She did though, I could tell.
Damn when did I start knowing Raine so well?
The smashing of heavy steel cap boots on wooden floorboards rumbled down the corridor,
"Well? Get moving the lot of you!" A Man bellowed and I pulled my hand out of Raine's sweaty palms before he could see. The soft thumps of bare footsteps filled the silence once again as we walked down to the labs.

The room was small and dingy. It would have reminded Raine of her old school's head masters office; with it's many shelves of books climbing the brown walls and the smell of dust drifting in the air. Crammed in the middle of the room was an old cherry wood table filled with files, and it was behind this table sat on a leather chair Mr Creeds waited. Eventually a knock on the door came,
"Come in." He commanded softy.
If you held enough power in your voice there was never any need to shout.
The door swung open and a boy walked in. It was the boy who had almost been killed by The Man known as Tommy,
"What is your name?" Creed asked staring at the him with interest,
"Cal". The boy spat. Creed smiled. He liked the boy; who's eyes showed no fear even at deaths door,
"How's your neck?" He asked studing the plasters which covered up the cuts,
"Yeah it's just great. Listen Head boss or whatever the hell you want your name to be. Can we just get this over with." Cal hissed. Creed frowned,
"Get what over?"
"Your going to either kill me, punish me, give me more experiments, or make me do something. So hurry up and do it."
Creed's smile grew wider.
What a boy! What courage he showed,
" I want to offer you something." Creed said "Although it's more of a demand. You see there's really no choice in the matter, but I want to gain your trust so I will make you an offer." Creed let the words sink in before continuing "You've only been here a week Cal but you're clever, what is it do you think we do here?"
Clay glared at the man,
"You experiment on kids". He hissed but Creed only grinned,
"You make it sound so bad but I am a man of science. A few kids dragged from their homes which hardly anyone realises about will not effect the world".
"It effects their family's." Spat Cal but Creed only waved the comment away,
"For the better of good, its all for the better of good. This time in five years I will be famous. I will have the cure for all the greatest illness's in the world. I will have an army of..."He shook his head,".... I will be the most famous person in all of the world almost as famous as God himself".
Cal looked away from Creeds,
"You said something about an offer?" He asked. Creeds smiled,
"I did indeed. I need a spy, someone who the kids will trust, someone who can hear what they whisper about when they shower and eat. You do this for me Clay and I promise there will be no more experiments for you, and I will allow you to send letters to your family" Creed smiled knowing the boy would not refuse.

Scar was back and in a mood,
"Shut it." He spat even though me and Raine were silent. We stopped at the labs metal door. A chain bolted it's surface. Scar twisted a key in the pad lock and swung it open shoving me and Raine in. The smell of copper blasted us in the face as we walked inside. Raine stiffened,
It was the smell of blood.
"It's ok." I breathed to her.
It's not ok though is it? We should be going to college and sneaking to parties not awaiting experiments.
The lab was huge and was filled with huge computers which sat on huge desks beside huge chairs. The walls were white, the floors were white, the ceiling was white.
A stereo typical science lab with the stereo typical Whitecoats as well.
The Whitecoats reminded me of bugs, hovering around the computers with clipboards attached to their hands. It was a lady Whitecoat who's hair was tied up tightly in a neat red bun who walked up to us,
"Sorry Marco." She said to Scar "Were just finishing off with a 101 but we'll be done soon."
I glanced behind her looking around for a 101 but I didn't see any.
The 101's were what happened to kids when experiment went wrong. Which happened alot. They were the real Frankensteins, not green skin and bolts but something else all together. It's then I see it limping out from behind one of the huge computers. I couldn't tell if it was girl or boy but I thought it was male. It didn't look human. His skin was purple, and I mean black current purple. He didn't have ears just small holes on the side of his head. Along it's face gashes of open skin seeped blood and pus. He didn't have lips or teeth just dangles of raw flesh. The 101 was completely bald apart from a single speck of dull brown hair. Snot dribbled down from his nose, and yet it's his eyes which fed nightmares; pure snow white with no pupils or lids,
"Move ya bleddy freak." A Man spat from behind the 101 and pushed him forwards. A single red teardrop escapes it's eyes before he hobbles to the door. It's only as the 101 was leaving that I realized why he limped. There was no toes on his feet just scabby stumps of where they use to be. I swallow the bile which raised to my throat.
Toeless...
