I helped my mom clear the table and take all the dirty dishes to the kitchen. Mom feels that it is a good lesson in humility for us to clean the family living quarters ourselves. Mom Mary Cora and I are cleaning the kitchen together. We noticed that Patty and Cindy have disappeared yet again. None of us say anything as we think they are lazy and always disappear when it's time to clean anything. The only thing we've seen them do is their laundry which is down in the basement. The rest of us think it is creepy down there so we let them be. We know they grow some herbs down there as well.
"Well Mom Mom, he shifted in our presence today and Lena said all she scented was Nilo and some dark magic." "Mala, I don't know yet what to say. I do not sense a wolf either and I don't know why I never thought about it before now. Mary, he and Thomas are friends has he ever gone running with his wolf," Mom asks Mary. "YES Alpha we have run with Lib his wolf, but now that you mention it I don't smell his wolf. I thought maybe it was because he was from another pack," responds Mary. Mom then asked Cora the same thing about Mauro and Vaughn. "Mauro and I have run with Smash plenty of times. There was even a time when Smash thought Mala was his mate. Six years ago he said he felt drawn to Mala then the next thing you know he was hooking up with that human that died in a car wreck. Mauro and I were so confused but they figured since he didn't wait for Mala maybe the Moon Goddess just gave her Nilo." " Why didn't you tell me I feel drawn to Vaughn as well, I don't understand what the Moon Goddess is thinking," I say to Cora with a dismayed tone. "Well Mala I think there is dark magic involved and I feel it is good you two are taking things slow so we can figure this out, Mom tells me. " Cora you say Smash sensed that Mala was her mate so I assume you can sense his wolf," Mom asked Cora. "Yes, ma'am alpha. Vaughn has a large black wolf very much the Alpha wolf." I tell them that I think Vaughn smells like fresh rain mixed with a blossoming apple orchard in the fall. I also tell them I didn't get the same smell from Nilo today that I had smelled previously. Mary says, "come to think of it he does smell almost human today to me as well." "Okay, Mala tonight when you say goodnight I want you to act normal as if you don't sense anything is different. I am going to tell you I have suspected something was off with Patty and Cindy as well. So let's be glad that they choose to go to the basement and tend to their herb garden. Cora tomorrow when they are not around I want you to check out the basement and see if there is any evidence of what they are up to down there." Cora says, "yes ma'am consider it done." We all agree that we will be paying close attention and all conversations regarding this subject shall be via mindlinking.

These wolves don't suspect a thing. Nilo you forgot your scent potion today so you think Mala is on to you? "No that little princess is so naive," states Nilo smugly. "She has no clue. I have her real father locked in the dungeon. I couldn't kill him because his mate would have felt their bond break. I keep him dosed with wolfbane the girls grow in the back of the basement. They grow sage and lemongrass to disguise the smell. I keep myself cloaked in this disguise as that Alpha's mate. I rub up against the poor slob periodically to continue to smell like him. That stupid Alpha thinks I'm her mate and husband. I've been pulling the wool over her eyes for 8 years now since we put Cindy with Micky. They don't know they have a coven of witches living amongst them. Once Nilo locks things up with Mala we'll take these wolves down and that lousy pack he's in. Then Nilo can drop his cloak and quit talking to himself like he has a wolf spirit. It's what they deserve for trying to take out all the dark witches during the war a little more than 10 years ago. Nilo's Mom will be happy to take revenge on these lousy wolves for killing her daughter. She was masked and placed with Vaughn to give us an inside link. "I thought she was killed in a car accident?" Nilo asked. She was when she swerved to miss a wolf that was chasing a deer it was hunting. Damn wolf was missed but the deer was killed when she swerved it went straight through her windshield. Nilo asked, "what color was the wolf"? It was large and Black. "So the Pinewood Alpha's mate is responsible for the death of the sister I didn't know I had?" Nilo asked astonishingly. Yes, Nilo that would be the one. He was getting angry. I had to calm him down so he can continue with this act a little longer. I know that Ruby is a powerful white wolf and that means Mala probably is also. Together they would be strong enough to wipe my kind out for good. We need the bond of 3 witches to overcome the power that 2 white wolves will have if they join together. The ladies should be done and the others should be wondering where we wandered off to. Remember Nilo these 2 packs are the reason that your dad and uncle are not around. We will have our revenge, however, the whole plan hinders you. "Okay uncle but these idiots don't even know that although I have not been participating in their training you have been training me most of my life. I almost feel bad pretending to be friends with Thomas and Dale to have an excuse to come to this pack." Well, let's get upstairs and say our goodbyes. I will see you again soon my nephew.
Nilo doesn't know that I'm his father. He also doesn't know We've been keeping things from him. He is just as clueless as these wolves.
