Cassandra POV
Yesterday's incident was absolutely horrifying. I was assaulted by a complete stranger, and he left me feeling terrified. I couldn't bear the thought of encountering that awful person again, so I made a quick escape without taking any money from him. I couldn't bring myself to share this traumatic experience with anyone because it's the worst thing that has ever happened to me.
He's such a good-looking guy. He really knows how to dress well. I've never seen someone so handsome in my life. But when he started talking, that's when things took a turn. He’s handsome but rude. And then he mistook me for a prostitute, assaulted me, and didn't even bother to listen to me.
But what can you do when you're just so angry? After losing my innocence to him, what's left? Maybe in my next life, I'll end up with a guy who's good-looking but has a terrible personality. He even told me we shouldn't see each other again.
I made up my Minnied to quit my job. During this school break, I found a new job. It hasn't even been a month yet.
Hello, my name is Cassandra. I'm 20 years old. I have an older sister named Katherine. My older sister is 23 years old.
My older sister received a scholarship to study abroad. Actually, study and work. She sends money for me and grandma to use. Katherine and I love each other very much because we only have each other left.
Our parents passed away when we were both young so Grandma raised the two of us. Grandma took care of me and Katherine very well. Even though our house is not rich, we are happy.
When the university semester ended, I thought about finding a job. I will help lighten my sister's burden. Just like I said. Worked for less than a month and got fired...that's it. So I had to sit and find a new job. Sigh. Knowing this, it's better to wait to get money from that handsome guy.
At that time I didn't think anything of it. I thought only of running away. I can't go back and get it now.
“Cassandra!!” A familiar voice screamed my name. This was the voice of my mother's older sister, Auntie Na.
“What is it?” I replied in a hoarse voice. Then looked at her as if I was bored with the world.
“Give me money. I don't have any money to spend anymore!”
“No, when I give you money, you’ll used it all to gamble. I don't have any money to give you, Auntie."
“You'll give it to me nicely or do you want me to hit you first?!!”
“Come on, don't think I'll give in. I'm not my sister."
I'm ready for a fight right now. Doesn’t Auntie know that people are even more upset because there is no work? Then she would still come and ask for money.
Aunt Nancy saw that I was going to fight back so she didn't dare do anything to me.
After finishing arguing with Aunt Nancy, I walked into the house angrily.
Grandma inquired if she was asking for money once more.
"Yes, Grandma."
"That kid is quite something. I'm sorry for her behavior."
"Grandma, you didn't do anything wrong. No need to apologize for anyone, Grandma."
"How's your sister doing? I really miss her."
"Alright, I'll video call Katherine for you, Grandma. You'll be able to see her face too. I'm sure she misses you."
I'm calling Katherine now.
"Oh, that's fantastic. Technology these days is incredible. You can see someone's face on a tiny screen. Give it a try." Grandma chuckled happily as she caught a glimpse of her own face on the phone screen.
