Chapter 11

Shakti closed his eyes and then looked at Anika and said

Shakti : if you are honest in your words then your husband is my son

Anika looked at him for a moment , trying to adjust what he just said , as everyone else kept looking at her lack of reaction on the words but after another moment Anika just chuckled in disbelief and said

Anika : no , you must be mistaken , my husband is a very simple man (then she shook her head and said) you must mean some other Shivaay

Priyanka ran towards her with teary eyes then opened the golden locket that is around her neck and it have a picture of Shivaay , few years younger ,with an expensive silk tie and a proud look that she never saw on Shivaay’s face before , but it's the same kind eyes , she can’t ever see them and not know them

Anika : yes , this my husband

Shakti sat in his place shocked as if Anika confirming it made it all different to him as Priyanka chuckled happily and wiped her tears and looked at Shakti

Priyanka : papa , its Shivaay bhai ..I am so happy , I feel my heart will stop (then she held Anika’s hands and said) has he told you about me , Bhabhi? I am Priyanka his baby sister ..he might called me piku , because I used to not like when he calls me that and he like to tease me ..But I am okay with it now

Anika looked at her with wide eyes then whispered ..

Anika : I need to sit down , please

Priyanka nodded yes hard and held her hand and walked her towards the chair , but before she sit , she wiped the chair with her hand and Anika looked at her confused as Priyanka nodded yes hard and said ..

Priyanka: you need a pillow??

And before Anika answers she pulled the pillow that was under Veer’s head and Veer's head hit the back of the bed and he screamed angrily

Veer: YOU IDIOT

Shakti squeezed on his hand and Tej looked at his hand with wide eyes then said to his son

Tej : shut up Veer

Priyanka covered her lips and said : sorry, Veer

Then she smiled widely as if nothing happened and put the pillow behind Anika's back as Anika looked at her with a shivery smile then she looked at them all with the same shivery awkward smile..

Anika : I am Anika ..Shivaay's wife and I guess now you all know how special my husband is .

Shakti looked at her then smiled faintly and nodded then looked at Tej who was looking angrily to Anika then noticed Shakti's look and said nervously

Tej: boys fight , Shakti , I am sure killing him is a bit of over statement from the girl as I said Veer will never hurt Shivaay

The police man : so are you going to drop the charges now ?

Tej: yes , its family matter now , right Shakti?

Shakti looked at him with death glare as Veer screamed

Veer : NO

Everyone looked at him in disbelief as he added ..

Veer angrily : at first , I didn't want to press charges against her so you won’t all know what between me and Shivaay but since you all know now ,and will start to point fingers , then no , I won’t drop the charges ..I want that village girl to rot in jail

Tej whispered angrily : shut up Veer , we will get your right later (then he looked at the police man) sorry for your time

The police went out as Anika looked at Shakti who was squeezing on his hands nervously and she smiled awkwardly and said ..

Anika : So I have to go to see Shivaay now , does anyone want to see him ?

Priyanka nodded yes hard as Shakti said ..

Shakti : why don't you break the news for him first and see if he wants to see us ?

Priyanka sat sadly on the floor and Anika nodded yes hard nervously and smiled a shivery smile ..

Anika : okay papa, excuse me ..I will go to Shivaay now

and she ran out of the room and closed the door behind her then sat on the floor in front of the door to take her breath and adjust everything just happened ..

(ANIKA)

Anika looked at the end of the corridor where Shivaay leaning on the wall for support and said ..

Shivaay: ANIKA

Anika stood and ran to him and held his hand as he moaned in pain of his back wounds and said

Shivaay : why you were sitting there ?

Anika smiled a shivery smile and said ..

Anika : why you moved ?

Shivaay : I was worried , the police came and took my wife ..What was I supposed to do ?

Anika helped him back to the bed as he said ..

Shivaay : so are you going to tell me why the police wanted you ? And I saw how the police woman held you so don't lie to me and tell me it’s for my injures

Anika took a moment then she smiled and held a pudding cup from the tray of the food that is on the night stand ..

Anika: they brought to you food ? Great ..Let’s feed you then

And she opened the pudding cup and filled the spoon and neared it from his lips as he raised an eye brow and her smile vanished and sighed ..

Anika : the police woman took me because of the boiling water I throw on Veer , they wanted him to identify me

Shivaay frowned and said : that jerk , after all he did to us , he playing an innocent now

Anika smiled and said: the funny thing he denied that it was even me and that you hit him on the head ..He said another story

Shivaay smiled faintly and opened his mouth to her spoon and she smiled widely

Shivaay : well that the smartest thing he ever did in his life ..(Then his smile vanished and said) wait then who called the police in the first place?

Anika filled the spoon again and smiled a shivery smile ..

Anika : his family

Shivaay eyes widen as Anika shoved the spoon in his mouth and he swallowed and said ..

Shivaay : you ..You mean his father ?

Anika smiled widely and said : yes , your uncle and Veer's uncle too

Shivaay took a deep breath in relief then smiled

Shivaay: okay then

Anika tighten her eyes for a moment as after that moment his smile lessened then his eyes widen and she smiled to him

Anika: yes , you got it

Shivaay pointed down as gesture to ask (here) and Anika nodded to him ..

Shivaay held his head and said : oh god

Then he smiled a shivery smile to Anika and said ..

Shivaay: OKAY .. We should go now

Anika eyes widen as he pulled her hand and moaned in pain from the sudden movement ..

Anika: WAIT ,CALM DOWN ..I don't understand

Shivaay rushed with her and opened the door only to find Priyanka standing in front of the door with her ear in the position of the door

Shivaay looked at her for a moment frozen in his place as she was also frozen in shock then she smiled nervously and said ..

Priyanka : yes ,I won’t lie .. I was eavesdropping

Then she looked at him and smiled widely then jumped in his arms..

Priyanka: BHAI, I MISSED YOU

Shivaay eyes widen and looked at Anika who was smiling widely , she loved Priyanka from the first moment she saw her and loved her more when she saw her love for Shivaay , what she don't understand is his relation with the rest of the family and why Shivaay is running from them and denying he belong to them and rather live in a village like hers !!

Priyanka bend her head back and said with wide smile

Priyanka: why you are not hugging me back ? (then her smile lessened and said) you don't remember me ?(then her smile vanished and said) or you can’t forgive me for what I said ?

Shivaay looked at her with wide eyes then swallowed and looked down ..

Priyanka’s eyes got crowded with tears as she said ..

Priyanka: bhai ..I was… I was stupid and shameless and I regret everything I said ..I believed her before but ..I believe you now, I believe that my brother can’t ever do something like that or ..

Shivaay stopped her with his hand and then untangled her arms from around him and put her down ..

Shivaay :MS Singh Oberoi ?... no matter what you shouldn't say bad on yourself and for sure not to a low merciless predator like me

Priyanka looked at him with wide teary eyes then ran outside crying so loudly and Anika looked at Shivaay in disbelief as he sigh and closed the door and return back to the bed and Anika said ..

Anika: I rather my brother’s beating more than that... you called her ,MS Singh Oberoi ..?. You broke her heart ..You didn't see how much she loves you and miss you

Shivaay hide his face behind his knees and Anika looked at him and said ..

Anika : Shivaay , I won’t blame you for all what you hide from me although you should have said to me that Veer is your cousin and that you came from one of the biggest families of the country, I think I had the right to know but it’s okay I chose not to ask you on your past .

Shivaay looked at her with teary eyes and said : I am sorry

Anika put her hand over her lips then hugged him and said ..

Anika: Shivaay ? You are crying ? It’s the first time I see you crying

Shivaay wiped his tears and said strictly : I am sorry , but I was honest with you ..I don't have from the Singh Oberoi family but the last name , other than that I am not their son , they chose that , (then he took a deep breath and said) and it’s my choice too , I chose to never come back to my loved ones who never loved me

Anika : I don't understand a thing ..Why all that ?

Shivaay looked at her, but suddenly the door opened like a storm as Priyanka entered with teary eyes and said ..

Priyanka: you are my brother , I don't care of what I said before or what my father said to you ..You are my brother and you have to forgive me

Then she ran towards him and kissed his cheek ..

Priyanka: if you loved me , even for one minute in your life , you will forgive me and miss me like I miss you and when that happens I will never make you regret it , I will be the best sister anyone ever had

Shivaay face soften as she kissed him again on his cheek and ran outside and he touched his cheek and smiled faintly

Anika : you really miss her , do not you?

Priyanka ran back to the room and hugged Anika and said ..

Priyanka : you are so beautiful Bhabhi

And she ran out of the room and he chuckled faintly and said ..

Shivaay : she is crazy

Then his smile lessened and then vanished and said .

Shivaay :Anika , we should go from here ..Let’s go pack our bags

Anika nodded and said : just have some sleep before we go (then she smiled widely and said) where else will you find a bed ?

Shivaay smiled faintly and made her to sit down and for her surprise instead of leaning on the pillow he put his head on her knee and whispered ..

Shivaay: I need to feel a kind touch ,please

Anika smiled a sad smile and caressed his hair and he closed his eyes as she whispered ..

Anika : before you fall asleep , you should know that you may be the most loved person in this whole world

Shivaay smiled and said : I know , I am loved by Anika

Anika swallowed and said : I meant ..Your ..Family

And she was about to leave his head but he held her hand and said ..

Shivaay: and I love you too

Anika looked at him with wide eyes then chuckled shyly and looked the other way

Shivaay : finally you are not shocked , thank god

Anika smiled widely and said: do not make fun of me ..I still can’t believe it

Shivaay : then I have to prove it to you one day

Anika swallowed and looked down shyly and he chuckled but the door knocked and his smile vanished and sat and said ..

Shivaay : come in , please

And for Shivaay surprise Shakti entered with a stiff face and Shivaay sat straight and his eyes widen looking down as Shakti without saying one word held Shivaay's chin and looked at his face with wide eyes then raised his shirt and looked at the wounds in his back then he swallowed and squeezed on his own hand and nodded

Shakti : you rather all this happen to you than come to me and ask for help ?what kind of ego is that?

Shivaay in low tone : you are the one who asked me to forget you are my father , sir ..to forget I am Singh Oberoi , you said you have no son and throw me out for a crime I didn't do (then he chuckled faintly and said) in fact I don't think you believe I didn't do it till now , you still looking at me the same ..You still want me to prove I didn't do it , after all this years

Shakti closed his eyes in pain then said ..

Shakti: I can’t let you suffer anymore , return back to the mansion ..Then you can prove what you want , but you have to return back

Shivaay shook his head and said: too late for that sir ..Its five years , I already did the time for the crime

Shakti said in low tone : then come back, I forgive you

Shivaay closed his eyes in pain and shook his head as Shakti looked at Anika and she smiled faintly to him and he nodded to her then squeezed on his own hand and got out of the door ..

Anika : I think he was checking on your wounds, he is worried

Shivaay closed his eyes and said : that is the first time I see my father in five years and he didn't even say I believe you , he didn't even say I don't think what happen with you is fair. He said he forgive me when I did nothing wrong

Anika : Shivaay , there is something I noticed and which is that your father might be in physical pain , he keeps squeezing on his hand and maybe it’s hurting him

Shivaay eyes widen and said : he what ? God no he will kill him

And he got off the bed fast and walked as fast as he could outside ,as Anika ran behind him not understanding what suddenly happened , she held his arm as he said ..

Shivaay: WHERE IS VEER 's ROOM.....

Anika was about to tell him but they heard sound of screams and anger and Shivaay didn't need to know the room , he open the room that came out of it the fight sound and found Priyanka holding on Shakti's arm as he trying to punch Veer .

Shakti: YOU WANTED TO KILL MY SON ...MY SON , YOU SHAMEFUL BOY

Tej :STOP THAT NOW SHAKTI , I WONT LET YOU HIT MY SON , BESIDE I TOOK CARE OF YOUR SON ALL THIS YEARS LIKE MY OWN WHEN YOU REFUSED TO DO SO , NOW HE IS YOUR SON ? NOW YOU CARE FOR HIM SO MUCH ? HA?

Priyanka held on her father but seeing Shivaay standing on the door she left his arm and waved to Shivaay as Shakti turned and punch Tej in the chin and Tej screamed in pain and then tried to punch him but Shivaay ran and held his arm as Veer said ..

Veer : YOUR SON DESERVE MORE

Shakti turned and punched Veer as Tej said angrily

Tej :THAT IS IT , GET OUT OF THE ROOM SHAKTI

Shakti pulled Priyanka’s hand as Shivaay left Tej arm and went out and as he going Shakti held his arm and said ..

Shakti : I am your father .. If you like it or not , I can’t change that and neither can you

Shivaay looked at him then looked the other way as he nodded

Shakti : fine , you won ..I am going

Then he looked at Anika and smiled widely...

Shakti: so you were just protecting your husband ?

Anika nodded faintly as he smiled and said ..

Shakti : that is Singh Oberoi already

Anika smiled widely as he nodded to her then pulled Priyanka’s hand who kept waving to Shivaay all the way out and he chuckled faintly

Anika to Shivaay : your father reminds me of you and I already love your sister , it’s so hard what are you doing to them

Shivaay took a deep breath and said : you are not angry with me, right?

Anika shook her head and said: no , I understand you are in pain , maybe one day you will get some relief

Shivaay : we are going to stay at a hotel after we pack our bags, but we have to pay the bill first

Anika: won’t you sleep ?

Shivaay: there is no time for sleep

Anika nodded yes hard as Shivaay pulled her hand and walked towards the doctor and said

Shivaay: doctor , where can I pay the hospital pill?

The doctor : Mr. Singh Oberoi , your father paid the pill for you

Shivaay looked at him surprised then looked at Anika who couldn't help but smile , not only because they still have their money but also because with all what happen , it’s so clear to Shivaay that his father and his sister love him so much

Anika : can we find a place to eat since now we can eat?

Shivaay looked at her with raised eyebrow as she smiled to him ..

After an hour

Anika and Shivaay were sitting on the pavement in front of the sandwich stall and eating as Anika smiled widely and said ..

Anika : I can’t believe we got tomatoes with the cheese sandwich , it must be our lucky day

Shivaay chuckled and said : that is because we are sharing the same sandwich , so why not tomatoes? I can spoil my wife

Anika chuckled and gave him a bite of the sandwich then took one ..Then she looked at the sandwich for a second and sigh , then she sigh again and again and again , till Shivaay rolled his eyes and said

Shivaay :FINE , ask ?

Anika smiled widely and said : where were you living ?

Shivaay: here in Mumbai in the Singh Oberoi mansion

Anika : you had your own bedroom ?

Shivaay nodded and said : my own floor, the 3rd floor

Anika smiled widely and said : you can speak English ?

Shivaay : beside English ..Four other languages

Anika smiled and said :you are so educated (then her smile vanished and said) and you loved a girl like me ?

Shivaay smiled and said : yes and not just love , I fall so deep , I don't have a name for it ..(Then he smiled and said) I will call it Anika's love

Anika smiled widely and said : you deserve one more bite now

He took a bite as she said ..

Anika : so Priyanka said that she believed a girl before but now she believes you ..I won’t ask what happened between you and the girl and what she said to you because you will get angry ..I will just ask is that the girl that you said before that you thought you love her and now you hate her .

Shivaay smile vanished and nodded ..

Shivaay: she was my fiancé and the daughter of my father's best friend ..Her name is Ragini and..

Anika pouted and said : I didn't ask about her name or all that

Shivaay angrily :..And I hate her so much

Anika smiled widely when he said he hates her and gave him a bite of the sandwich ..

Anika : one last question ?

Shivaay looked at her as she smiled faintly and said ..

Anika: if time returned back , would you walk the same path with all its pain just to meet me ?

Shivaay smiled widely and without thinking for a second nodded yes ..

Shivaay : but what about your pain ?

Anika smiled and said : it vanished when I met you , so no problem

Shivaay : okay now it's the time for me to ask

And he pulled the sandwich from her hand and she pouted ..

Shivaay : would you rather the safety and the money of the Singh Oberoi mansion than what we living ?

Anika : I rather Shivaay ..I don't care a mansion or small house

Shivaay smiled widely and said loudly :THE GIRL LOVES ME , ITS SO CLEAR BUT SHE DON'T WANT TO SAY IT

Anika eyes widen and put her hand over his lips ...

Anika: shut up , people are looking

Shivaay chuckled and planted a kiss on her hand ...and she took her hand from his lips fast and he gave her a bite of the sandwich .

Anika and Shivaay reached to their house and started packing Shivaay’s cloth as Anika only had two dresses , one she is wearing and the black one she put it in a bag .

Shivaay : I am thinking we should leave Mumbai

Anika nodded faintly as he smiled to her and said ..

Shivaay : thank you , for understanding

Anika smiled to him and said: you think Veer will leave us in peace now

Shivaay chuckled and said: of course not ..In fact after what my father did , nor my uncle or Veer will leave us in peace and Surya joined hands with him , I don't know what will that do put I think Veer will use him efficiently

Anika nodded and said : the next place will be a rent I think ,so we can move if someone found us , without selling

Shivaay smiled faintly and said : that is a smart idea

Anika smiled sadly and he wrapped his arm around her and held the suit case then looked around him and chuckled seeing the word Anika written on the wall

Shivaay : I love you so much , you know that?

Anika nodded faintly as they both walked out but the minute they got out of the door a big black car parked in front of them with a brake roar and Shivaay flinched and hugged Anika as the door of the car opened and for his surprise Priyanka came out of the car and pulled the suit case from Shivaay and entered with it the car and put it behind the back seat

Shivaay shocked: what the....?

Priyanka came running again and pulled Anika from between his arms and ran with her to the car ..

Shivaay shocked: What is going on ?

The passenger window beside the driver opened and Shakti was the one sitting , he looked at Shivaay and said ..

Shakti : you Didn’t understand when I said she is Singh Oberoi , if you don't want to be one then it’s your wish but Anika is my daughter , you think I will let her live unsafe and in your poverty , boy

Anika inside the car put her hand over her lips to hold her chuckle as Shivaay frowned and said

Shivaay : how you knew my place , sir?

Shakti : I am Shakti Singh Oberoi , you forgot ? (Then he smiled faintly and said) do not let your ego make you hurt your loved ones , don't be as much like me , you will regret that

Shivaay looked inside the car where Priyanka hugging Anika and he nodded and said reluctantly

Shivaay: fine. You won

Shakti smiled widely as he opened the car door and sit beside Priyanka who was in the middle

Priyanka to Shivaay: it was my idea , I said if we kidnapped Bhabhi , bhai will come after her then we can kidnap him too.

Shivaay without thinking angrily : shut up , piku

Priyanka chuckled happily and said : he called me piku , he still love me

And she hugged him tight as he smiled faintly and patted on her head and Anika smiled faintly and put her hand on his shoulder .

Anika : so we are not leaving Mumbai?

Shivaay: no , we are going to the Singh Oberoi mansion , Mrs. Singh Oberoi
