Chapter 9

All night Anika eyes were wide open, sleep didn't touch them, as Shivaay was just leaning on his hand beside her on the floor that is covered with newspaper, and deeply sleeping, not feeling how un peaceful he left her, not feeling her heart that was bounding fiercely from the idea of being loved by him and her mind that had so many question and thoughts she didn't have an answer for .

How He just kissed her like that and pretended nothing strange happened?!! Was it just a playful kiss? No it can't be, she felt emotions through his touch and deep passion in the kiss, it was so clear, not by words but her heart felt it.

Anika turned and looked at him and whispered..

Anika: you did this for me, because you loved me ?... but if you loved me all this time , why didn't you tell me ?..Or maybe you do not know you love me or maybe you do not love me and I am imagining that .

Then she took a deep breath as he turned and leaned on his back and snored faintly ,and she shook her head , her heart feels he loves her but her mind asking for what ? Shivaay never saw her but at her worst, no money, no family, no education, even no beauty. Then why will he loves her , maybe it’s pity on her not love?

Anika whispered herself : and who kisses a girl because he pity her , idiot

and she looked at his chest that was moving up and down and she without thinking put her ear over his heart, to hear the beats as if she expecting they will tell her something, but for her surprise she felt his arm wrapping around her and pulling her closer to him and pressed his lips to her hair, her breath stopped and she felt numb feeling his breath tingling her whole body as it run through her hair locks

But what made her shiver was him saying as he still dozed in his sleep

Shivaay : I am in heaven

Anika eyes widen as he pulled her all body over his body, and she couldn't help it and whimpered as her body pressed on him and that is when Shivaay opened his eyes and seeing he pulled Anika to him like that, he flinched and sit straight and Anika fall from over him but before her head hit the floor he put his hand under her head and looked at her with wide eyes as she looked at him with wide eyes as well and he cleared his throat and said..

Shivaay : what ? Was I snoring ?

Anika opened her mouth in shock and said ..

Anika : snoring ? That what you think the weird thing that happened ? That you were snoring?!!

Shivaay cleared his throat again and rubbed his eyes then looked at her and said ..

Shivaay : you didn't sleep yet ?

Anika shook her head and said : I don't think I will ever be able to sleep , you sleep.

Shivaay sat straight and yawned then he shook his head and said..

Shivaay : it's okay , it's almost morning, I think I should continue painting so we can finish , I can't take the smell of the paint anymore

And he stood then he turned and said ..

Shivaay : wait , why you can't sleep ?

Anika bit her lower lip and thought to tell him she thinks he loves her and that is taking her sleep away? God no , how can she says that ? So she just said ..

Anika :ummm...yes...it's the smell of the paint

Shivaay nodded and said : you are right , I will finish painting then we go sit outside till it dries

Anika nodded as he smiled and said ..

Shivaay : you want to help me ?

Anika smiled and nodded yes hard and he gave her a brush and small box of blue paint and said

Shivaay : you will color those wooden corners with blue and the window too , I will color the walls

Anika nodded and started to color the wooden corners as he took the roll and continued painting the walls with white and Anika smiled and looked at him and wondered if he imagines her as the lady of this house as he painting it ? Does he imagine her as his life partner ?

Anika : Shivaay , have you ever been in love ?

Shivaay stopped painting and closed his eyes for a second and she noticed a look of pain that burned her heart and she felt so angry .

Shivaay : once I thought I was in love but then my love turned to hatred (then he said with disgust ) then I don't think it was love at all , NO

Anika smiled widely with answer , no it's not love at all , she knows that ..It's the same feeling she felt towards Surya , but now she wonders what that girl did to him ? No ..She doesn't want to know anything about her as Shivaay added ..

Shivaay : if I loved a girl , I will never hate her no matter what she did to me (then he closed his eyes and said) even pain from her will be a bless ..

Anika felt her knees weak as he continued ..

Shivaay : I will never be able to sleep unless I have one more look at her that I will end my day with and I will never start my day unless I see her smile first (then he smiled faintly and sigh) I will pray every day for her happiness , even if god will take from mine ,I won't mind (then he smiled to her and said) and no love I can give to her will be enough ..But Also Shivaay love is no less (then he smiled and said) that when I will answer ..Yes , Anika , I am so deep in love

Anika closed her eyes and put her hand on the wall for support as she felt dizzy from his words but then her eyes widen feeling how sticky her hand is ,she opened her eyes wide and raised her hand off the wall and looked at it and there was a blue hand print on the wall , her hand print !!..

She looked at Shivaay with wide eyes as he looked at her with wide eyes back ..

Anika : I am so sorry Shivaay , I am such an i***t , I ruined your work...

Shivaay stopped her with his hand and said ..

Shivaay : shut up .. I love it

Anika looked at him confused as he chuckled and looked at her hand print then went towards her and put his hand in the blue paint and put his hand beside hers , and it printed his hand as if their fingers were touching .

Anika smiled widely and looked at him amused , he is mad ..Some kind of madness she can't describe , full of life kind of one that she never saw before ..She chuckled and he smiled for her smile and said ..

Shivaay : you know what even better .

And he carried her from her waist and she chuckled as he held her hand that have the brush and made her write with the width of the wall with blue paint ..

Shivaay: ANIKA

Anika chuckled happily looking at her name written on the wall so bold and huge as he smiled widely and took a step back with her still carried by him from her waist as she chuckled and said ..

Anika : you are mad !! You ruined all your painting work .

Shivaay : who said that? I think it's a master piece ... we are done now ..Let's go outside till it dries .

and he put her down and she felt kind of disappointed when he did that , she loves when she is near him but he held her hand , and it felt different , his touch felt different as if her feeling that he loves her make it different ..It feels kinder and tighter and she needs that ..She needs to be loved more than she can describe .

He held her hand and pulled her outside and they started walking between the houses and the small gardens

Shivaay : too bad our house don't have a garden

Anika smiled and said : I love our house , I wouldn't change anything about it ..Beside now the green remind me of the village and I don't want anything to remind me with it

Shivaay squeezed on her hand as Anika shook her head and said ..

Anika : why I didn't meet you before ?

Shivaay stopped and looked her..

Shivaay : don't think like that , think that you met me at the right time and that our paths wasn't to meet but like that....because maybe I wasn't the same Shivaay back then , maybe I am not the same Shivaay that I was before meeting you. Maybe you would have hated me before and wished you never met me

Anika smiled and said : I don't believe I can ever hate you no matter what , no one know you can hate you , Shivaay ..Because no matter how you used to be , I am sure your heart was always that kind and you were always that honorable and brave ..(then she smiled and said) that I didn't even need time to tell me about , that I knew since the first time we met ...those things don't change no matter how we changed

And for her surprise Shivaay looked at her with faint sad smile then hugged her tight and said in low tone ..

Shivaay : why I didn't meet you before ?

Anika eyes widen as he closed his eyes hard and she hugged him back , what she said that gave him that relief ? But she is very happy that she helped him to relief his pain a little , even when she don't know what is his pain ?

Then he broke the hug and touched her cheek and smiled faintly and sat on the pavement as she sat beside him.

Shivaay : imagine if we met at the school or maybe at college

Anika chuckled faintly and said : I left school after 7th grade and for sure never went to college

Shivaay: then imagine if I was your neighbor , your annoying one that keeps the music so loud and you keep scolding him

Anika smiled and said : and then one day your mother borrowed flour from my house and saw me and thought I can be good wife for her son (then she raised an eyebrow and said) and I refused of course, you are my annoying neighbor ..Eww

Shivaay chuckled and said : but then one day when you were riding your bicycle

Anika : I can't ride a bicycle

Shivaay : exactly , you couldn't ride it , you were falling all the time and felt frustrated .. But I took you on mine and drove you home ...

And for their surprise a boy parked his bicycle beside them and sat beside them to drink a can of soda and Shivaay looked at her with wide shocked eyes as she held her chuckle and Shivaay looked at the boy and said ..

Shivaay : hey , can I rent your bicycle for five minutes ..Just two rounds

And he put his hand in his pants pocket and got out some money and the boy smiled widely and nodded as Shivaay smiled and looked at Anika ..

Shivaay : that was easy to happen. I wish we imagined we found a million dollars

Anika chuckled as he held her hand and rode the bicycle and she sat in front of him and her legs were on one side and she held on the handles tight

Anika : don't let me fall

Shivaay : never

And he smiled and paddled so fast that the bicycle was running and Anika screamed and held on his shirt instead of the handles and he smiled widely for that and held on the handle himself

And soon the ride and the air as it hits her made her feel so happy and so light and she started chuckling as he took rounds between the gardens..how can he offer her so much happiness so easily , how with him she forgets everything and feel like a new born , why her heart bound so hard and she feels she is melting in his touch and wish if she can make him happy as he makes her happy?

And without thinking Anika looked up then bend her head back and planted a kiss on his cheek, and that when Shivaay eyes widen and felt his legs weak and lost their balance and both fall with the bicycle and the boy ran and screamed ..

The boy: MY BICYCLE

As Shivaay looked at Anika worried but for his surprise she was chuckling ...

Shivaay : are you okay ? I am sorry , I ...

Anika chuckled and said : and that when we both fall ...good imagination

Shivaay smiled and his eyes brighten and Anika smile lessened and noticed how he looks at her as he said ..

Shivaay : I know I did fall, what about you ?

Anika swallowed and said numbly: you mean from the bicycle, right?

Shivaay took a deep breath then carried her and said ..

Shivaay :didn't I say before , I can't let your feet touch the ground, dear wife

Anika looked at him numbly as he nodded to her , then their eyes fall on the sun as it rising and he looked at her as she over his arms and said ..

Shivaay : I like our life more , I like that we weren't neighbors or met because of our mothers (then he smiled and said) because in real life I married you the second day from our meeting and I got to take you home , my wife

Anika smiled widely and bend her head back and slept on his arms from tiredness as he walked with her towards their home , this time with wide smile on his lips and pulling her to his chest .

At the evening..

Shivaay kept looking at Anika who was still sleeping as she didn't sleep all night and he actually didn't mind looking at her even if forever , he won't complain or get bored and now he is asking himself, how can he loves her that much in this short time ? How can he think of her day and night and all his wishes to have a chance to make her happy?

Shivaay : what have you done to me , village princess ?

then he planted a kiss on her forehead and smiled faintly with the thought of making her happy, if he knows something about Anika, is that Although she have a tiny slim body, she loves food so much and even when she eats, she eats so hungrily that she don't notice the wrap paper in her bite.

He chuckled and nodded to himself, it will be the best if she wake up and found a hot meal , he should go and buy some food.

He pulled his wallet and took his jacket and opened the door and went outside , thinking he will buy for her soup maybe or……

But he was taken out of his thoughts when his phone started ringing for the first time after he left the village, he looked it and his blood froze in his veins as he looked at the number with wide eyes..

And reading the name of the caller , he didn't answer and ran towards home but a car parked just in his way and he knew whose car was it ..

His body tension and frowned as Veer got down the car with a smirk and said ..

Veer : welcome back to Mumbai , my friend ..I thought you won't ever come out of your house , I kept waiting all the morning

Shivaay eyes widen and said: how you knew my place ?

Veer : let's say from a new friend who really really hates you .. (Then he said dramatically) we both got our hearts broken from the same bad birdie and you know the village is very small and we all there are family , right Surya ?

Surya came out of the car looking down with wide eyes and said ..

Surya : you...you .. Promised that Anika will be mine and that you just want to take your right from him ..Don't think otherwise

Veer : yes ..You can have her(then he smirked and said ) but after I have a little taste first

Shivaay screamed : YOU COWARD , I WILL KILL YOU

And he was about to attack Surya and Veer but five men with huge build came down the car with metal chains and huge heavy sticks and stood in front of him

Veer :oh , I forgot to tell you, I have a gift for you

Shivaay looked at the men with wide eyes then looked behind him at house, he was thinking about Anika who was just two steps away, if something happened to him, who will protect her from those Animals?

Meanwhile

Anika wake up from her sleep and smiled widely the minute she opened her eyes , remembering their past moment and her feelings of happiness and her heart that was bounding fiercely with his touch

Anika: Shivaay ?

Then she got off the floor and looked in the house , everywhere but he was nowhere , so she just opened the door of the house and called ..

Anika :SHIVAAAY?ARE YOU OUT?

And she walked two more steps and that when she saw the scene ..

Shivaay in the middle of the street standing and Veer and Surya standing in front of him as five men with chains and wood sticks standing beside them

And she felt fear she never felt before and shivers all over her body, it was her worst nightmare coming true and so real, she should fear on herself from those Animals, but its Shivaay what she was thinking about, if something happened to him she won't handle it, she won't be able to take the idea of one of his hair getting hurt and she didn't feel herself as she ran towards him and screamed as her tears flow

Anika :SHIVAAY ..SHIVAAAAAAY

and she stood in front of him with spread arms and Shivaay breath stopped and his eyes widen seeing her action , she should have ran and hide but instead she stood in front of him and between him and his enemies

Her body tension and she shivered from fear looking at the eyes in front of her, but she stood still in her place , she will protect him as much as she can ..She know she probably won’t do much but if someone want to hurt him he have to pass through her first

And Shivaay couldn't handle it anymore , he pulled her to his arms as she shivered and struggled to free herself as tears flow on her cheek

Anika: NO , NO ..LEAVE ME

Shivaay held her tight and whispered in her ear .

Shivaay : I love you too

Anika looked at him with wide teary eyes as he smiled to her faintly and nodded saying with his eyes (don't worry ) and then he hide her behind his back and looked at them like a wounded lion ready to rip them apart ...
