The Banished Omega

Chapter 3

Benedict's Pov:

"How could you embarrass this family like that Ben!" My mother's voice got louder by the next word, she was angry, aggravated and most of all she was embarrassed

I could understand her a little but she was being irrational

"Not only did you tell the Elders that you've found your mate, but when you proceed to announce her she's nowhere to be found" If I was younger I'm certain my mother would have smacked my face by now, she kept pacing around my study, her fingers balled into a fist

"I've never felt that way Mother, never!" one hand on top of the other I balanced my jaw on my hands as they rested on my desk

My mother walked closer to me, slowly "An Omega" she whispered in a defeated voice, shaking her head "You must reject her! Today!"

"No! No mother! It means nothing mother, she's my mate and I'm not going to"

"Stop saying that!" My mother overshadowed my voice with hers

"I'm very sure of Rayyan, more than anything, I remember when I first saw her, her crystal blue eyes glistened from a mile away, she just stood there wearing confusion and fear on her face" I just wanted my mother to understand

"Her eyes matched perfectly with her dress and her beautiful brown skin elevated her features, mother I have no words to describe her" I left my mouth open for a second in search of the right words

"A light showed over her head and my wolf's senses were heightened mother, I could just feel it, I could feel her heart rate increase, and I could hear my wolf calling out to hers, I moved closer to her and I took her hands without my brains permission"

"Have you stopped to think, maybe she's a witch!" My mother leaned closer

"She hadn't gotten her wolf yet, but the moment we spoke she got her wolf and it connected with mine instantly. I've never felt this way, mother, never!"

"Then why did she run away the moment you announced her, I didn't even see her face" My mother's voice became calmer

"That's what I'm going to find out, I know where she lives" I stood up placed a soft peck on my mother's forehead and made my way to the door, she held me back

"Where?" she asked

"She's a servant at Elder Philip's house"

"You mean your friend's house, Caroline?"

"Yes, mom!" Her grip on my palm tightened, and her face wore many emotions, I couldn't tell how she felt but I was certain she wasn't going to fight my decision, I always have my way.

"I just hope you know what you're doing" she released me.

Rayyan's Pov:

I woke up with a striking pain on my back, I expected it, you wake up with pains when sleep on the concrete floor in a cell.

Last night was a combination of heaven and hell. Heaven came first with its wonders and hell came with a plethora of torments.

Regardless of the stinging sensation that came from all over my body from the beating I received last night remembering Ben made a small smile appear on my lips.

"Hey! Hey" The voice sounded very familiar, the dungeon was very dark and I couldn't see his face but I knew who it was, it was Andrew

"I brought you food, how are you feeling?" He pushed in a bowl and the sweet smell of the food made my stomach growl

"Hope no one saw you, thank you! "

"No one saw me, we're alone, come on eat!"

"I can't" I silent tear drop rolled down my cheek "How's my mother?"

"Ermm.... erm, well she asked me to bring this to you" I could tell Andrew was lying. My mood instantly went sour

"Ray, what happened yesterday?" The silence that followed Andrew's question was deafening

"Come on, say something" his breathing increased as mine

"Where do I start from?" I asked defeated

"The beginning"

I explained everything to Andrew, exactly how I remembered it.

It was heavenly, I described how I felt out of this world when our eyes first met, that's me and Ben, my mate, my Alpha mate.

I described how I couldn't move from where I stood and how my chest kept pounding against my chest until he came closer and took my hand. I explained how I immediately heard my wolf very audibly for the first time.

I explained the small conversation we had and how persistent he was about introducing me.

I explained how he dragged me to the main auditorium, but when he stepped away to call his mother, Caroline came to me.

I guess she put two and two together, she threatened to kill my mother and kill me after if I didn't run away from the palace.

I explained how I ran the moment Ben took the mic and pointed at me. That was when yesterday night's horror started, I completely ignored my wolf and ran home to my mother.

I didn't know I had started crying, almost wailing, of course, I was in pain.

I explained exactly how it happened, how Alpha Philip and Caroline showered me with slaps from different angles, I explained how Caroline scratched my eyes with her nails.

Last night was brutal for me so brutal, I explained how Alpha Philip used his whip on my palm and my feet fifty times each.

I explained how I cried but was ignored and thrown into this cell.

"I'm so sorry Ray" Andrew's voice was laced with pity "Do I go in search of the Alpha?"

A bright light suddenly flooded the cell, and a loud thud sound followed

"I'm here already, there'll be no need for that" I recognized that voice immediately, I soon felt his presence, it was him, it was Ben, my Alpha, my mate, the moon goddess didn't turn her back on me after all

Happy tears rolled down my cheeks "Let's go with him, I knew he was going to come" My wolf finally said something after being silent throughout the night.

"I'm sorry they did this to you Rayyan" Ben's guards broke the cell open. I stepped into the light and took his hands.

He lifted me bridal style and carried me towards his car, he stopped and turned when he heard Caroline's voice

"You can't do this Benedict!" Caroline screamed

"Come to the palace tonight and watch me do it"
