CHAPTER 6: MICHAEL

It turned out that everyone was in a staring contest, Adrian swallowed hard before speaking

" Good morning ma" he said nervously while trying to use his charm on Kanaan who was clearly pissed from waiting outside for Sky to return back.

" Ma?" Miles questioned as he watch the expression of fear plastered on everyone's face, he knew they were to address the customers in a polite manner but looking at the lady in front of him, she looked young.

Kanaan was wearing a black and white striped turtleneck shirt with a skinny black leather trouser, white ankle boots and a pair of sunglasses which gave fitting to her chocolate brown skin.

She also had a frown on her face with her hand sitting across her chest

" What's taking so long, you know I hate waiting" she spoke. her voice wasn't high pitched, it had a deep tone to it.

Her aura was intimidating but he couldn’t help but look past it because of her beautiful eyes.

" Your order is ready ma" Emily spoke as she came back with the supplies she needed.

Emily was shocked to see Kanaan here, outside the car, Miles immediately rushed to help her with the supplies due to the fact that the things were a bit too much for her to carry.

" Thank you" she whispered with a smile

" I'm sorry for the delay" Emily added before she passed the already packaged order unto Sky. Kanaan's eyes could help but wonder towards Miles, he looked very familiar but she couldn’t quite place where she had saw him.

" There shouldn't be an issue next time, if you still want to keep working here" she added before returning her eyes to Miles scanning him properly before leaving.

" That was close, I think I peed in my pants" Adrian said cleaning of the invisible sweat

" You think!" Emily added

Miles was still lost staring at the young lady who walked out through the door,

" Who was that?" he asked with his eyes still fixed on her as she got into the car.

" Someone you wouldn't want to notice you, trust me!" Adrian spoke

" That wasn't what you were asked, you dummy. She's miss Kanaan Hernandez.."

" Hold up! Hernandez as in Hernandez of Beauty mix" Miles asked, cutting Emily off her statement

" Yes, she's the one and the same, Kanaan Hernandez is also the owner of this cafe as well" she explained

" And she's also my master" Adrian added with a smirk,

" Shut up! and you better wake up from that dream of yours my love" she rolled her eyes.

" And you for as long as you're going to be working here, please try to avoid her with all you've got, she's not someone you want to be in your perimeter at all. Do you understand?" Emily advised, Miles nodded in response but his mind was already making up a plan on how to be closed to her. Maybe, just maybe she could save him and his family from their debts.

" Would you not put it that way, she isn't going to tear him apart. She's not that bad" he pointed out

" Says the guy who almost pissed in his pants"

" Well, I did just a little"

" Ewww!! could you move away from me" Emily said which made Miles laugh.

Sky got into the car along with his boss, he couldn't help but feel he was the reason for the delay

" I'm sorry" he apologized

" There is no need for an apology. Who is the new employee?" She asked with an interest in Miles.

" I have no idea when he was employed, Klaus is the one in charge of the cafe" Sky replied

" Klaus has always had a mind of his own, he always does things that upsets me" she added looking out the window

" I'm going to teach him a lesson, I’d make sure he doesn’t disobey me ever again" she added before Sky started off the engine and they drove home.

Sky parked the car while Kanaan got down marching forward into the building, she was greeted by the guards at the front of the house which she responded before entering.

Mr Philip was an anticipated guest and she was really excited to see him,

she walked into the living room to see the devil she needed to tame Klaus and her angel Evan on the sofa watching TV

" Welcome" Evan greeted with a smile as he stood up, she couldn't help but stop tracking right beside him as she ran her hand through his hair,

" Having fun?" She asked still with a serious expression which darken as she set her eyes on Klaus.

" Yes I am" Evan replied as he kicked Klaus on the foot to acknowledge Kanaan's present.

" Welcome" Klaus managed to greet

" You would never learn and it doesn't bother me either I like tough people, it fun to watch them crack" she said staring into his eyes as though she could see his soul, to my room and wait for me there" she said with an authoritative tone before walking off to deal with Philip.

" What did you do this time?" Evan asked, it was obvious that he wasn't going to be celebrated but punished

" I would care less what she does to me" Klaus said he was one of most stubborn people she had under her power.

" Klaus! you shouldn't be hotheaded, you shouldn't be giving her your bad attitude so she doesn't give you her bad side, it's not good at all" Evan advised knowing how she got when she was angry.

" When did I ask for your opinion" he busted out of anger

" You should listen to him, Klaus!" Sky spoke from behind as he walked in to their conversation

" Here comes the right hand man" he said in a sarcastic manner

" You are just unbelievable, no matter how many times she teaches you, you would never change" he said giving him a good stare

" That's because I have my very own will and I'm not like you who's controlled often"

" Can we not fight please" Evan said, he really didn't like where all this was heading.

" Let's just hope her anger settles but in a case where it doesn't, good luck to you and your pride you care so much about" he said before going through the direction Kanaan had taken.

Evan returned towards Klaus but before he could say a word he was already going up.

" How can he endure so much pain" he said to himself as he watched him leave.

Sky took the elevator down to the underground workshop, Kanaan sat in a distance in front of Mr Phillip who was blindfolded with a little piece of clothes over his eye, she signalled one of the men to take it off.

Mister Philip adjusted his eyes to the light that was in the room, he was tied to a chair where he sat.

" Kanaan!!??" he said in fear and disbelief

" Yes it is me, you're not dreaming baby boy" she said with a smile on her face " missed me?" She asked as she watched him tremble in fear.

" What did you think that you could run away after everything you did and I would sit down and wait on karma to get you?" she asked in a rather more calm but intimidating tone.

" This is all nothing but a misunderstanding, I'm on your side Kanaan, trust me!" He said trying to sound calm but he knew he was in a tight spot.

" Trust you? Hmm it's funny how one thing I don't have these days is trust and the last time I did that, guess what my accounts were messed up, my merchandise got missing and guess what?. We found them in your house" she stood

" And not only that, Michael. Oh yes Michael also knew where my Warehouse was. And he didn't just screw me over with the cops but killed my men. And still again your name got into the equation somehow.

Is this also a misunderstanding as well?" she asked as she stopped right in front of him.

" I can explain, he blackmailed me with my family and he said he would kill my entire family if I did not tell him where it was" he explained while fidgeting at her feet

" Ohh so this only means that you are more scared of Michael than you are of me, is that it?"

" No!! that's not what I meant" he tried explaining himself

" You had all the opportunities to come and ask me for help and I would have given you the help you need as fast as possible because you were one of my most trusted men in this place.

The liberty and the privilege I have given to you, I have never assigned to any other person here" she said as she felt her anger increase.

" I thought you wouldn't believe me.."

" Bullshit!! that all you're saying. It's a load of bullshit" she said as she grabbed him by the neck.

" Please believe me, Micheal is a cunny bastard, he had me by the balls" he begged as he knew he was in trouble.

" Alright, let's say I believe you, so where the f**k is Michael?" She asked still sounding calm as she looked at him

" I don't know where he is honestly, we only spoke on the phone nothing more. Please spare me" he begged

" Philip! Philip!! you know what I hate the most in this world, everybody knows what I hate most and they are liars and backstabbing fools just like yourself" she said, she increased the pressure in her hand trying to cut off his air supply.

" Kanaan please listen to me spare me, please don't do this. Michael is just crazy"

" Of course Micheal is cunny and crazy but do you know something I'm much more crazier than he is, you have no f*****g idea whatsoever, how crazy I can get" she added quickly releasing him from her grip.

"Guess what, Even though we're not on good terms I got you something special, I got you a gift, a little something just for you" she said as she walked towards the bodyguard who had a dagger in his hands.

She put on a pair of black gloves before picking up the dagger.

" Are you anxious to know what your present is?" she asked.

Philip knew pretty well that it wasn't an actual gift, it was going to be something that would get him talking.

" Kanaan could you......"

" Shhhhhhhh, I'm about to deliver the best present in the world, I'll would let you choose which part of your body you would prefer I cut off first?" she spoke with her eyes fixed on Phillip to observe every bit of reaction he had.

" No!! please don't hurt me" he cried out

" Michael threatened you with your family but I'm not going to threaten you because going to make sure I get the secret out you, even if it means peeling off your brains to get it out" she said with an evil smirk.
