CHAPTER 10 : THE PLAN

Three young men walked into a huge and fancy building, they walked through the living room straight to the pool side, there was a man with blonde hair in the pool swimming and a lady in a bikini, lying on the chair, her slim figure was a feature you really couldn't miss.
" Sir" one of the men spoke up
" Good, it about time, tell me you have some good news if not just swallow your tongues" he said coming out of the pool and grabbing a towel.
" Honey stop it, you're going to make them scared" the lady spoke
" Well they should know me better, speak"
" We are sorry sir, we couldn't find Philip" he said passing on the news to Michael
" What do you mean? it sounds like you failed and I don't like failures, so I'm going to give you a chance to change your statement. Where is Philip?" He asked
" We lost him sir, Kanaan's men were a bit faster than us, they got to him way before we could" he finished his statement and soon was awarded a slap, the sound of the slap echoed across the pool side.
" Ahh I didn't expect any better, Philip went to the Lions den" the lady spoke.
" What do you mean by she was faster than you, Philip was your sole responsibility was that hard?" He asked running his hands through his hair
" Take care of him, guard him and make sure he gets everything he needs and you couldn't do that easy task" he grabbed his gun that laid beside the chair where he took the towel from
" How can you tell me, you don't know where he is" he asked one more time fiercely with boiling rage
" And you had the nerve to actually walk into my house to tell me this bullshit" pulling the trigger, he shot the first guy on the leg which made the other men flinch
" You're all good for nothing, I should just kill you all" he said
" Calm down baby" the lady on the chair said as she stood walking up to him.
" Michael you need to calm down, we both know he’s still alive" she said running her hands down his chest
" How can we be sure about that after what we did to her New York"
" I know"
" Then you should know that she definitely would want to take revenge, that's why she has Philip with her" he was staring at the young lady who was in front of him.
" Ohh Michael, you don't understand how this works… Kanaan right now at this moment doesn't want to take revenge on you, just yet."
" What are you saying?"
" If you take one pillar that doesn't matter to a building what happens, only that part falls but the building remains standing. In that light she wants to destroy you completely from the inside, You attacked one of her most valuable warehouses and killed about more than half of her men, what do you expect that she would just take Philip in return for everything you did?" She asked raising an eyebrow
" No she won't"
" Exactly baby you're learning, she's definitely not going to kill him which means Philip is still alive, she has him somewhere torturing him to spill out the truth on where she can find you, then she takes revenge on you" she pointed out patting him on the head with a smile on her face.
" I still don't like the idea of Philip being with her, what am I supposed to tell his wife and his children. He's my brother for crying out loud"
" I understand how you feel baby, it's frustrating but there is nothing we can do about it, unless we come up with a very good plan that would bring him back"
" I can't think of anything"
" Don’t worry I already have one, all you just need to do is calm down and if everything goes as planned, we may have Kanaan's Head hanging as a trophy in your room without losing any more victims to her and her father, I promise" she whispered in his ears before kissing him on the lips.

" Good morning gentlemen men" addressed Sky in the meeting
" I have the pleasure of presenting Miss Kanaan Hernandez" he introduced to the members in attendance for the meeting. She walked in with her usual frown sitting on her face, taking her sit and staring at every member present, she was the only woman on the table.
" I think you got our message wrong, we would like to do business with Mr Hernandez and not her" one of the members sitting across from her said with both a frown and disgust on his face.
" Sir that's not poss..." Kanaan cut off his words with a sigh
" I quite don't see the need of you having a meeting with my father when I am the owner of this business" she said staring at him in the eyes
" How pretty, princess I don't do business with girls, you should be shopping with your boyfriend and not in a meeting like this" he said standing up.
The sound of fun shot could be hear and the man was back down on his sit, the bullet was only an inch from his head. His guard pointed their guns to Kanaan ready to shoot but was stopped by the man.
" I don't like violence but you all keep pushing me. Call me a princess one more time and I'll have your brain on the floor, my apologies for not informing you that the Hernandez business has changed from my father to me, in that light your men didn't do a proper research, I have taken over my father business for more than 10 years now and you have no idea, that alone makes me unwilling to work with you, Mr Chan." She said without removing her eyes from his.
" And if anyone has a problem with doing business with me I suggest you take your leave because I don't like to waste my time.

Miles arrived in front of the building, the building was so huge from the outside, he wondered how it was going to look on the inside.
He took a deep breath, putting on one of his killer smiles on before walking in, he met the lady at the reception who told him what floor Kanaan's office was, he took the elevator
On getting to the front of her office there was a young female sitting, she looked like her secretary, he explained why he was there and was about to drop the bag, in order to leave but she insisted that he had wait for Kannan and in her office. He didn't understand why he had to wait for her in the office because it was just a delivery but either ways he thought it was a good idea at least he’d get a chance to talk with her and move on with his plans.
He got into the office and it was huge, it looked like a palace fit for a queen. The furniture were exquisite and expensive, everywhere looked so spotless… you could very well eat off the floor, he dropped the package he had in his hand on top of the coffee table that was in the middle of the room, he took a sit on the couch nervously as his eyes went around the office, he looked on her table and saw the name tag boldly written in gold colour PRESIDENT KANAAN.
He pulled out his phone trying to give his mum a call to know if she was okay, and picked up at the first ring.
" Hey baby, why are you calling me by this time. I'm at work" she said
" You found a job already?"
" Yes I did, didn't I tell you?" She asked
" No you said you were going to look for one, not that you had one" Miles pointed out
" Silly me I think old age is getting to my brain, I actually found a job and I started today" she said
" Mum, I don't like the idea of you getting a job"
" You're not going to talk me out of it, we need the money. Your so-called father has to go for follow-up, checkups and those things aren't paid with sand you know, they cause actual money, not to talk about the money we owe and just only you working can not pay the bills and the debts too" she pointed out
" I understand what you're saying but"
" There are no buts, even your lazy ass father as soon as he's fit… his coming here to work as well. This was all his fault to begin with"
" Mum!"
" What? it's nothing but I feel you both forget that"
" That's because we're trying to put everything behind us and move on" he voiced
" Behind us my ass, Even if we work extreme hard it would take my great, great, great, great grandkids to be able to pay for the debt, do you know how many generation that was baby?" Miles couldn't hold back his laugher, it was the truth yet it was funny.
" Where are you by the way, aren't you supposed to be at work, how did you have the time to call me?"
" I was asked to do a personal delivery to an important client of ours and they asked me to sit and wait till she gets back, that's why I had the time to call" he explained
" Okay baby, I have to go right now. We have a customer, I'll see you at home and I'll tell you all about my new job."
" Alright mum love you" he voiced before getting off the phone with his mum.
He could hear voices walking into the office
" Is the date necessary?" Kanaan asked
" Yes, it's very necessary, that's why it's a dinner party, it important you show up with a date" said Narl as the both walked in her office.
Miles was in an instant panic, he did not know what to do to stand or sit, smile or frown, to greet or just walk away. His body moved on its own standing up almost immediately
" Good morning ma'am" he greeted with a slight bow, Sky also walked in briefly behind the ladies.
" Good morning, how may I help you?" she asked recognizing him immediately, Narl was lost for words on how handsome Miles was.
" God, you must be an angel she said flashing him a smile, making Miles a bit shy.
" I actually asked them to deliver your morning coffee and cake here because we're on a tight schedule and I couldn't drive to go get it" Sky explained
" I understand that but why is it in my office?" she asked,
" Umm, your secretary outside asked me to wait for you personally to return back from your meeting" he said pointing to the desk in front of her office.
" I think she may have thought you were the new model we're signing, you actually have a good face and body structure" Narl said as she stared at him from head to toe, Miles couldn't help but smile, he was gifted with this face and he hoped to make it bring a Good Fortune for his family with it.
" Thanks you" he said blushing, Kannan didn't really have anytime for Narl as well as her obsession with fine men.
" I'll take my leave now" he informed about to take his leave
" Wait, we need your help" Narl said stopping him from leaving
" Why shouldn't he leave?" Kanaan asked
" Well you are going to the dinner party without an escort and here is a handsome man standing right here, what's your name angel" she said pointing to Miles.
" Miles!"
" What is your problem?" Kanaan whispered
" Well for now, I just don't want you to look like a loner there. That's my problem"
" whatever, do what you feel like but get out of my office I have work to do"
" I know always busy, I’ll take care of everything for Miles to come along with you" she said excitey grabbing him by the arm and leading him outside.
" This girl is definitely going so drive me off the edge one of these days” she took in a deep breath before taking her attention to Sky “So did you contact him?"
" Yes ma we'll have them by tomorrow" he informed.
" I want you to make the necessary preparations needed" Sky nodded before leaving.
