TWWSF 15: Ticket

It's been three days since the day I was almost taken by a complete stranger at Sky Night. I didn't expect that it take a few days before the drug totally wears off from my body. In order to do it, Zander had to ask help from Germany. They were not able to verify what kind of drug it was. Zander send someone to Germany Lab to bring the blood they've taken out from me to test it. He knows that we need all the data about the drug so that we can plan a countermeasure and to create a remedy.

Though I still feel a little weak, I decided to go to school after three days of rest. I arrived in school early which I purposely did. The fewer students the better, I don't have enough energy to welcome all the stares early in the morning.

Pagkababa kay White Shadow ay agad na tinawagan ko si Ace. "Where are you?" bungad ko, "I'm here in school," pagbibigay-alam ko sa kanya.

"What? Sigurado ka bang ayos ka na?" he ask worriedly.

"A little bit weak but I can manage. Did you bring what I asked?"

"Yes. I'm here at the main cafeteria, 2nd floor," he answered.

"I'll be there in a few minutes." Pinutol ko na ang tawag at naglakad patungo sa main cafeteria. Mahaba pa oras kaya hindi ko kailangang magmadali.

On the way to meet Ace, I called Blitz to ask the progress of their search of the man who tried to took me away. I was disappointed after we talked. Three days had passed but until now they haven't found anything. Seems like the guy vanish like a thin smoke.

Pinaghahanap na din ngayon ang lalaki ng mga tauhan ng GSU sa utos ni Zander. Tulad ni Blitz wala pa din silang nakuha na kahit anong impormasyon tungkol dito. Kahit pinalawak na ng GSU ang paghahanap ay wala pa ring nangyayari. Pag lumipas ang isang lingo na wala pa ring malaman ang Block Leaders, ako na mismo ang kikilos. Hindi ko man gusto pero mukhang wala akong pagpipilian kundi ang pagalawin ang Keys.

Napabuntung-hininga ako at si Edge naman ang tinawagan. Dahil sa na nangyari ay aalerto na din ang ibang bahagi ng Blocks. Maaring nagkalat na kasi ngayon sa CST ang drugs ginamit ng taong yun kaya nagsagawa din nang imbestigasyon sa sakop nila ang Scorpion Pack and Wild Stream.

"Edge, any news?" tanong ko pagkasagot na pagkasagot niya ng tawag ko.

"Hi there, SF. Are you alright now?" tanong niya na hindi pinansin ang tanong ko.

"Yeah, I'm fine now."

"That's good to hear. So, what can I do for you?"

"I'm asking for an update in regards with what happened at Sky Night few days ago," nayayamot na sagot ko sa kanya.

"Why are you asking me about it? Don't forget Shan, I'm a Block Leader which means a leader like me is the only one allowed to ask me the details of something we consider high risk. You are not a leader but a member."

I gritted my teeth in annoyance with what he said. Though he is right and he seems serious I can't help but to get annoyed because I can clearly hear the playful tone in his voice. I let out a deep breath to calm down, "Edge, I don't have time with this, so can you please tell me?"

"Zander just called me before you do. Since he is your Leader, you can ask him," balewalang sabi niya.

"Edge," matigas na tawag ko sa kanya. He laugh in the other line before I can continue what I'm going to say.

"I'll tell you, relax okay? I'm just joking," he sigh before he continue. "Just like the others, we found nothing about him. Nothing extraordinary in my Block too. Seems like it was the first time they used the drug here in CST."

"It's impossible that he vanished just like that in an instant, Edge. Do you think he was silence by whoever behind this?" I asked him, feeling already lost.

"Possibly, but I don't think so. Sa tingin ko ay hindi siya basta kung sino lang, Shan," sagot niya sa sersoyong boses. "Anyway, why I am drag into this? This should be between you and Blitz," he whined.

I can't help but smile in his whiny tone, I know he didn't mean it. "Because you love me," I stated with a smirk in my face and hang up before he can say anything in return.

"After what happened, I didn't expect to see you flirting with whoever it is."

Napaangat ako ng tingin sa nagsalita, nasa harap ko si Breena kasama ang mga naging kaibigan niya. Nasa paanan kami ng hagdan paakyat ng 2nd floor ng main cafeteria.

"I didn't know that talking to someone on the phone is act of flirting now," I retorted.

"It's not but the way you talk and your expression," itinuro niya ang mukha ko, "it's very obvious that you're flirting. I can tell though that it's not Chase."

"Well, if that's what you think," I just shrug my shoulder, didn't really care with what she said. "If you'll excuse me." I was about to walk away from her but she called me.

"Not so fast, Davies," she said calling me with my surname. "I have something to ask."

I sigh and turn to her, "Just make sure that it is worth of my precious time." As always, the attention of the people around darted to us. Para silang nag-aabang ng palabas sa tuwing nagpapang-abot kami ni Breena. It seems our encounter always excites to the people who witness it.

"Who the hell are you?" she asked in a very low voice with gritted teeth.

I can't help but laugh at her, "Why? Are you afraid of the answer so you ask in a low voice?" amusement is dancing in my eye.

"Well, for a moment I think that the answer may not be good for you. Because of what happened three days ago I almost forgot that you have no shame," she smirk. "Now, if you can answer my question."

I shake my head in disappointment, "You're just wasting my time, Breena. I thought you can guess a little since you had a glimpse of it."

Her expression change and a sudden realization hit her, "That's ridiculous. How can someone associated with people like that can stay in this school? Enemies are just lurking around you. Don't you think it's unfair?"

"Life is unfair, that's why you're here, right?" shocked is visible in her face. "And what kind of people do you think they are?"

"I'm quite sure they are involved in something illegal." Naningkit ang mga matang tinitigan niya ako, "And you don't know the reason why I'm here."

"Really? Believe me, I do. I even know the reason why you are suddenly engaged to Chase," I smirk at her. "Do you know why I'm still here despite everything? That's because I'm SF? No, because technically I own this place. Yuki Ayane Rei, Princess of Daichi Kingdom, and, you are inside the property of the kingdom. Should I introduce myself more?"

Nakataas ang kilay na inintay ko ang sagot niya. She stand there gawking at me after hearing what I've said. Bago pa man siya mga makapagsalita ay dinugtungan ko na ang mga sinabi ko. "Well, you're the only one oblivious about it. I'm not your ordinary princess though, I am so much more than that." Lumapit ako sa kanya at bumulong, "I can even shred the Triad to pieces if I am allowed to."

Tuluyan ko na siyang tinalikuran bago pa man siya makabawi. I have to meet Ace before the classes start and we only have a few minutes before it started. I need to get the documents from him and I have to give him something.

Bago ako tuluyang makalayo ay may pumigil sa mga braso ko. "What do you mean by that?" Breena ask in a grave tone.

I shrugged my shoulder at her without bothering to clarify what I've said while trying to regain my wrist from her tight hold. Dumating sina Chase at naabutan kami sa ganoong sitwasyon. Bumaba na din si Ace mula sa 2nd floor at palapit na din sa amin.

"Hey!" lumapit si Chase sa amin at hinawakan ang kamay ni Breena, "let her go, Bree."

"No," matigas na tanggi ni Breena, "I need to hear something from her."

"I don't think this is the right time for that. Things like that should be talk in private," Chase said knowingly.

Kahit hindi niya alam ang kung ano ang tinutukoy ni Breena,sa tingin ko ay nahuhulaan niya ito. Aside from that fact that Chase knows me too much, Breena is so easy to read right now.

Breena let go my wrist and look at Chase, "why do you always put her on top, Chase? Why? Just because you love her?"

"No," Chase answered not looking at me. Nananatili siyang nakatingin kay Breena, "Because I have to. Not because I love her but because that's what I should be, to follow her lead. And I hated it more than anything."

"Chase," I called his name trying to stop him but he didn't.

"Yes Shan," he look at me. "I hated it because I can't do anything about it. Even if I try so hard to stop you, in the end I don't have a choice but to follow your lead. All I can do is to keep you safe while you are doing things that will put you in danger. That's what we are."

"What are you saying Chase?" singit ni Breena.

Bumaling ako sa kanya saka sinabi, "He's telling you that a war is about to start." Naglakad ako palapit kay Ace at kinuha ang envelope na hawak niya bago bumalik kay Breena at inibot dito ang hawak ko.

"What this?" kunot-noong tiningnan niya ang envelope.

"That's my ticket of getting what's mine. I want Chase back." Hindi ko pinansin ang pagkagulat ng mga tao sa paligid namin. Nakatingin lang ako kay Breena habang binuksan niya ang envelope upang tingnan ang laman nito.

Hindi niya nagawang itago ang pagkagulat ng makita niya ang laman. It's a picture of Timmy Chen including all information about him. I ask Ace early in the morning to get it from Aries in the airport.

"Enemies might be lurking around me but you're no exception Breena. He's already here and he's starting."

"Are you going to tell him about me?" fear mirrored in her eyes.

"I don't play like that, because if I do," tinapunan ko ng tingin si Chase, "Chase will be in danger. That's the last thing I want to happen."

"What you do think you can? Fighting him is not a choice, not you." Umiiling na wika niya.

Umangat ang sulok ng labi ko sa sinabi niya. What she said is our only choice and that's what I've decided. Pero hindi ko siya sinagot ng diretso. "Without him, you don't need Chase," sabi ko bago siya tinalikuran.

Agad sumunod sa akin si Ace ng umalis ako. Naiwan ang iba at si Chase na piniling manatili sa tabi ni Breena. I can't blame him though, he promise to take of her and she need him now.

Tumigil ako saglit sa paglalakad at bumaling kay Ace. Kinuha ko ang isang maliit na kahon sad ala kong bag at inabot kay Ace. Nagtatanong ang mga matang tumingin siya sa akin.

"Open it," I urge him.

Gulat na napitingin siya sa akin sabay tingin sa paligid upang masiguro na walang nakakita sa hawak niya. "This is," he looks at me as if confirming it he is seeing right.

"Yes, it is. An invitation to The Mansion from the Heiress," I said quietly, making sure no one can hear us.
