chapter 3 : dreaded summer

It's been nearly two weeks now Since Alpha Caine and his Beta have left, My new soon to be sister in law Ruby is now staying with us. i don't have a clue how my father worked out the deal, usually he love's telling us of his successful transactions but he's been keeping his lips sealed tight about this one, i think he's worried about mother. since Alpha Caine's visit she has not been her self, constantly crying, locking her self in her room, i heard father whispering to his beta nathan the other day about my mother that he was worried she's on the verge of a breakdown. she's not spoke to anyone but our father but occasionally walking past their room i can hear her snapping at him. it's clear something has her upset. 

i was in my room about to head out to meet my friends when in comes benny he makes himself comfy on my bed whilst im standing in front of the mirror,

"make your self at home why dont you" i said sarcastically

he looks at me and smiles,

"what no witty comeback?" i said.

"im fed up" he says. 

"aww benny boo what's the matter" 

my nickname for him is benny boo, usually it makes him laugh but i don't think he's in the mood for that today cause he doesnt even chuckle. i sat on the bed he lay down telling me that lucas is constantly with ruby, he doesnt want do anything that doesnt involve ruby even getting him to do training is proven a challenge

"what do you expect, it's clearly the mate bond" i said

"it will calm down once they get married, you just got to suck it up"

benny let out a groan. 

"natasha?" i could hear my father call me through the mind link

"yes" i said

"can you come to my office i need to discuss a few matters with you"

"get out my room"

 i said to benny whilst i was heading for the door. i went out and started to make my way to my father's office. i could sense nervousness which is unusual.

"please sit down" he said.

so i did, i started to think what the hell was it that i did to make my father call me into the office. my father started to explain because mother was sick, that she needed his full attention and with the summer holidays in a few day's he was going to send me abroad to Ireland to stay with some friends.

"what friends? we don't have friends who are currently in ireland"

"new friends" he said he wasn't fooling anyone i could smell lies a mile away. 

"it's a beautiful estate you will love it, it's just until summer is over"

i looked at him, not only did he want to send me off to strangers, but he wanted me to spend the entire summer which also included my 16th birthday at some strange estate in a different country. i guess he could see the steam come out my ears cause his final words before kicking me out his office were 

"your going, that's final you leave tomorrow" 

i slammed the door shut when walking out. all my summer plans down the drain. i didnt know what was worse not being able to see my friends or being in a strange place with strangers who father is clearly pretending to be friends with. or the shocking one of all trying to use my mother as an excuse. i think he forgets i know him too well

"it will be fun" opaline said

"for who exactly?" i replied 

"it's an adventure something new "opaline barked.

i grumbled. and ran upstairs to my room to find my father wasn't joking about me having to leave tomorrow, 2 of the maids were in my room folding my clothes into 2 large red suitcases.   

tomorrow couldn't come quick enough.

it was 5am everything had been packed. i was already up washed and dressed i couldn't even eat because of the mixed emotions of anger and worry raging like a battle inside me. My father made it a point to avoid me which he never has done before, and my mother was still locked up in her room, at least Nathan, my dad's beta was going to be keeping me company on the drive. It was the one thing i got to choose on how to get there and seeing how my dad wasn't sharing the details where exactly in ireland i would be going to or even the truthful reason as to why i thought i would drag my feet so to speak and choose one of the longest way's to get there so i should arrive either by 7 or 8pm considering the uk and ireland is one hour behind France's time. the journey took much longer than expected with the traffic in the afternoon. we finally got to Holyhead ferry car park in the uk, i got out the suv, only to spot a man approaching nathan, i realised straight away it Ian, Alpha caines beta and another man approaching them who resembled Maxims Logan who is Alpha Zane wood's Beta. im starting to get why my father didn't want to share 

"long time no see princess" ian said. i gave a slight nod and as i could feel myself being stared at Maxims, he never really talks well not that i know him that well, he's more of silent type i can understand why Alpha Zane would want him as a beta the guy is huge.

"now your going to be on your best behaviour?" nathan turned and said to me.

i looked at him oh i was pissed, and i knew he could sense it. 

"it's nothing to be annoyed about..much"

"think of it like summer camp" 

"it will be over before you know it, you'll be back home"

nathan continued, the more he spoke the more shocked i looked whilst glaring at him. i dont think he really knew how to speak to a teenage girl he only has 6 boys

"SUMMER CAMP?.. what am i 10?" 

"what the hell is this?" i demanded 

Nathan looked at me. before he had chance to explain

ian blurted in saying we have to go and that everything will be explained shortly , and maxims picked up my two suitcases from the trunk of the suv to place in their range rover.

i got in the back seat of the range rover, giving one last look to nathan before being driven on to the ferry. 

as we made it over to ireland. it was dark. i didn't even know where we were, lot's of bumpy roads, and farm land , then we pulled up to huge estate. You could tell it was old but well maintained. the drive had been in silence which was fine by me i wasn't wanting to make small talk with the two jerks anyways. the estate was well lit so easy to see it even at night it looked beautiful, this wasn't like Paris i could actual smell proper fresh air, fresh grass, it felt like being able to breath properly nothing like city life, and it was quiet like proper quiet. i didn't think i would be impressed but i must admit the estate was some sight even at night time.

maxims had brought my luggage out the car, and started to make his way in, i think Ian sensed that i was tired because he took me by my wrist and lead me into the home, up the wooden staircase and to my room. 

"this is where you'll be staying princess" he said watching and waiting for my reaction.

the room was a decent size with a king size 4 poster bed and a beautiful vintage dresser with mirror and seat. my room also had a balcony with a rocking chair and, 2 wardrobes built in for my clothes to hang. my room also had a en-suite bathroom 

i smiled. least it was luxury like home

"i will leave you to it princess" Ian said

before he walked out i asked him who owned the house as Alpha Caine and Alpha Zane packs were in America. , he told me it belonged to Alpha Caines late mother that she was from ireland. and with that he left. 

my suitcases were next to the bed. i pulled my phone out my pocket only to discover no signal. 

Shit! i went to the door and Ian must of locked me in cause it wouldn't open... not like i would need keys anyways. i picked up one of my suitcases and placed it on my bed, it held a secret compartment. and in it was at least 3 bags full of c******s amnesia haze and cigarette papers even a ash tray along with my lighter , courtesy of Sam. least this way it would be less stressful and i could actual sleep and take my mind off the fact i have to remain here for 10 weeks.  

i took out enough for a joint, i quickly got out my clothes and into my night dress and cardigan i opened the balcony door sat down and smoked my joint, it relieved the stress of today it made me feel at ease like having no care in the world my muscles were relaxing with each puff i inhaled once finished i made my way back into the room and dived in the bed and my head hit the pillow it was a matter of minutes before i was sleeping.
