From there, it was only a few more miles to her exit, Glendale Boulevard. She turned right as she got off the freeway, heading toward the foothills, although her destination lay closer than that, in a modest neighborhood a few blocks from Glendale Community College. Or rather, while the houses here might have looked simple enough, one-story homes built in the 1950s or ’60s, she knew that they had to be worth a ton simply because of their location. Colin’s house was in the middle of a block and looked much the same as the homes that surrounded it — single story, with a two-car garage and a neatly landscaped yard with low palm trees and decorative planters out front. It was far less showy than the Mediterranean-style house he’d rented in Los Feliz…and probably the last place anyone would go
