chapter 6 The full moon

I woke up and turned over layton was already gone i figured he was at his office working and preparing for the full moon tonight I rolled out of bed and headed into the bathroom I jumped in the shower it was relaxing as I washed my hair and body i started to get nervous about tonight then I heard a voice

"Dont worry, Harley, we can do this."

"Yes, I'm Tundra. Nice to finally meet you, Harley,"

I guess you can tell I'm nervous about turning tonight

"Yes, but you will be fine. I'll be with you the whole time,"

Tundra, I dont know if I'm ready for this

"You are Harley. I can sense it now let's get ready,"

I turn the water off and get out of the shower, then head into the bedroom to pick out something to wear. I didn't want to wear something nice cause I know when I change my clothes, I will tear

Tundra, what should I put on there? Isn't anything that isn't nice or expensive looking in here

"Look in layton's closet. I'm sure he has something that isn't nice in there,"

I walk over to Layton's closet then open it I start to look threw when I see a box that says my name then full moon under it I open the top of the box and find a pair of track pants and a tshirt I pulled them out then closed the closet then put the clothes on as I finished putting the tshirt on I hear a voice down stairs I open the bedroom door then proceed down the stairs as I get to the bottom I see beta Patrick coming out of the kitchen.

"Their you are Harley, Mr. velintine has asked me to make sure you find your way to the entrance of the forest. "

shouldn't you be walking with your wife and kids beta Patrick?

"haha kids we dont have any yet and she knows where to go she has been here longer then you and I'm doing what I was asked to do by our Alpha I will be back here at 3:30 to come get you so be ready"

he walks out the door it closes hard behind him I couldn't blame him I felt irritated as well witch wasn't like me I decided to not think about it then head into the kitchen to make some lunch it was past breakfast I was in the shower longer then I thought I open the fridge and decide to make a sandwich as I start to make it Tundra starts speaking to me

"we only have an hour till he gets back here. Are you sure it's a good idea for you to eat? What if you get sick before the transformation?"

I know, and I won't Tundra it's not until tonight. That's why I don't understand why we have to leave at 3:30. Doesn't that seem a tad early

"well yeah but we dont exactly know what he has planned before hand Harley it could be anything he also knows it's your birthday too,"

yea your right as I'm finishing the sandwich i decided I'll do some dishes to pass the time and watch a show as I finished doing the dishes and put on a show Tundra started to go crazy in my head.

Tundra, what's wrong?

"Someone's here, she growls in my head."

who as I jump up to look out the window of the door I see kelly walking towards the door what is she doing here Tundra?

"I dont know, but I smell trouble, Harley. we should go,"

go where this is our home. we just won't let her in as I finish saying that she starts trying to open the door. I quickly lock it and step back

"Harley, are you in there!"

go away, kelly. i say threw the door

"I am sorry, I really am. I will never disrespect you like that again as she sobs,"

I go to unlock the door when Tundra shouts at me

"Harley, what are you doing? You said you wouldn't let her in!"

I'm sorry I cant let you in Kelly your no longer allowed in the pack house you need to leave I growl as i look out the window and see her turning to walk away she looked beyond angry what do you think she wanted Tundra?

"To kill you so she can be with layton."

what! Do you really think she would try to do that?

"well yea Harley we are his mate and not just a new mate a destined to be mate witch hasnt happened sense the curse a thousand years ago and to be the future Luna she is jealous and knows you haven't changed before she thinks you are weak"

"I know Harley, it's everyone else that doesn't know."

"Who's right, and why was the door locked?"

i turn around to see beta Patrick standing in the doorway

beta Patrick, I thought you weren't coming till 3:30?

"It's 3:00 close enough it will take us 40 minutes to get there, and you still haven't answered my question?"

"Ah, yous have connected, and it does if it has to do with your safety."

yeah, and dont worry, I'm fine

"That's good and ok.. let's go. "

okay, as we walked out the door, I was walking a bit behind him when I decided to ask him a question. Can I ask you something

how long does it take to shift?

"It's different for every wolf,"

As we get closer to the entrance of the forest, I could hear a bunch of the packs children laughing

"Alpha velintine always throws a fun day once in awhile it gives the pack time to have fun with their family until the kids get put to bed."

as I was about to say something, I heard Layton's voice

"Harley, how was your afternoon?"

It was okay

"That's good. I'm sorry I wasn't there when you woke up. I had to get things set up for today,"

that's okay. Beta Patrick made sure I got here

"Let's go, we can do a few things while everyone's busy."

"You will see,"

we walked into the forest it felt like it was taking forever as we went around a tree he suddenly stopped as I bumped into him. He stared for a bit, then turned around and looked at me

Layton, why did you stop like that?

"Sorry, I thought I saw something."

saw what..what did you think you saw?

"It doesn't matter it was nothing."

okay, well, we're going back to the pack. I dont like it out here it's too quiet, and we are far from them

"Harley, we're fine. Nothing is out here, well except for us and the wild life,"

Layton, please, I insisted

"Hmm,"

he starts to take long strides towards me. layton, are you okay he continues to come towards me until I feel my back against a tree. I look into his eyes, and they are black

layton I shout, but he doesn't respond

"yes mate"

Where's layton? can I please get him back

"Why are you afraid of me, my little mate?"

no I.. I just need him to come back, please

"ok, my little mate, just know I will never hurt you. I'll always protect you,"

and with that, he was gone. I looked and saw layton beautiful eyes again. I felt a smile from my lips

"Harley, I am so sorry he didn't hurt you, did he?"

no, of course not

"Are you sure I swear I tried to stop him?"

yes, I'm okay he never hurt me i dont think you or him would ever hurt me

" A smile formed on his lips okay we have to get ready anyways. The pack 6 already fed, then sent all the pups to bed,"

how do you know that, and we've been out here that long?

"Beta Patrick mind linked me to let me know, and for almost an hour, we dont keep the pups around too late when it's the blue moon."

as we got to the pack, layton walked to the front, and then we all headed into the middle of the clearing he turned around and started to speak

"This full blue moon will be different instead of us all shifting together we will be shifting on our own in the forest there are a few of us that haven't shifted yet so for their first time we will give them privacy"

yes Alpha velintine, everyone replied

"Good after we shift, we all meet back here before going on our hunt. Now let's go,"

I walked into the forest with layton behind me. I could tell he was holding back from shifting. Alpha's in packs always changed before everyone else

layton, can you stay with me when I shift? I dont want to be alone

"Of course Harley, I'll try to hold back blaze from wanting to shift until you start,"

My heart began to race inside my chest the adrenaline spreading threw out I look at my hands as they shake rapidly I feel myself stumble as silence falls around me I can hear nothing but my deafening heart beat I can feel it begin my entire body starts to shake, my legs giving out before I fall to the ground I reach and grab the trunk of a fallen tree as I scream clenching the trunk cutting my palms my bones begin to shift I black out then come to shaking my head as I stumble trying to keep my balance on all fours well I stand I look over and see this huge Werewolf he had lovely golden blonde fur with beautiful green eyes.

blaze, I say, threw our mind link? he nods his head then turns to walk out to the clearing I follow behind then he stops to look at the stream then me I walked up and looked down at the stream to see my reflection I had beautiful black fur dark as the midnight sky with piercing blue eyes I look back at blaze as I walk towards him we head to the clearing other members of the pack were already there and some just showing up as the last Werewolf appeared blaze let out a howl then we all precede into the forest to hunt.
