chapter 5 lunch

I began to walk down the drive way to the side walk and head down to the community it was beautiful out today it was warm with a nice light breeze as I got into town i crossed the road everyone I walked by bowed there heads and would say good afternoon with a smile

I finally got to the lunch as I walked in i was greeted by this lovely young lady she looked like she was about 2 years older then me she had dark brown hair that came past her shoulders with light brown eyes she was a little taller then me but not by much.

"Oh, you must be Harley. I am so glad to meet you. I'm Arlene beta Patrick's wife,"

nice to meet you, Arlene

"Well, let's go sit down. I will introduce you to everyone, then we can start to eat lunch,"

okay

"Everyone, this is Harley Alpha velintine's mate and our soon to be Luna she will be joining us for lunch today and for the rest of the lunches we hold."

"Hello Harley, we are glad you are joining us,"

I felt welcomed so far as we all sat there and started to talk and get to know each other. Arlene was about to ask me something when this familiar voice started to talk

"well good afternoon everyone I see you have all met Harley I just want to let you all know that what ever she has told you is a lie the only reason Alpha velintine brought her back was due to her lying saying she is pregnant with his pup he has met her before she cant be trusted that's also the other reason why me and him are no longer together she wrecked a relationship with lies"

as she continues to speak I could feel my fits start to clench under the table as my eyes start to water I shouted out none of that is true I've never met him till the full moon ceremony I also haven't laid with him or anyone else they all look at me as I push past everyone including Arlene as she tried to run after me but couldn't catch up to me I ran all the way back to the house I came threw the door I could feel my heart racing as the door shut behind me then I hear Beta Patrick and Layton

"Harley, how was the lunch?"

I tried to run past Layton, but he stopped me and made me look at him he saw I was trying not to cry as he heard my heart racing

"Harley, what happened they ask

it was kelly she told all the female wolves in the pack that what ever I told them before she showed up to the lunch was a lie that I'm faking a pregnancy that's why you chose me and that we have met before the full moon ceremony that's why you left her I have never been so humiliated in my life I shout as I pull away from him and go up the stairs.

"let's go now he growls and storms out of the house then down the hill to the pack community as him and beta Patrick got into the middle of the pack community I realized he must have went down their so I ran out the door and caught up as I reached him he let out this loud growl beta Patrick find Kelly and bring her to me now and mind link everyone in the pack to get here now!"

as everyone from the pack started to gather, layton started to shout in his Alpha tone

"I will not tolerate or take kindly to my mate being disrespected or humiliated. Have you forgotten who your Alpha is he growls loudly, "

I looked as everyone instantly submitted as they answered

"No Alpha velintine"

"Alpha, here she is,"

I turn and see beta Patrick and a few of the scouts dragging kelly up to him

"You have humiliated my mate for the last time as he growls. Everyone will see what happens if you or anyone else gets out of place again."

he half shifted as he began to beat her I looked as others continued to watch and some started to look away I knew if I didnt stop him he might kill her I took a deep breath then walked up to him I placed my hand on his arm

layton please stop let's go home I said it quiet as I didnt want anyone to hear me he let kelly go then turns away from me to tell everyone to go back to work or home then walks away I look at beta Patrick then walked up to him

"Beta Patrick"

"what Harley and what was that? Why did you get involved?"

you need to get the pack dr to look at kelly and treat her wounds, and if I didn't, then he could have killed her

"You're going to make him look weak. You can't tell him what to do in front of the pack,"

I could tell he was mad

I didn't tell him what to do. I asked him to please stop now, get her to the pack dr please I need to go home

"Fine, he grumbles, then picks up kelly to take her to the dr,"

I ran up the hill to the house. I walked through the door to see layton standing in the living room waiting

"she deserved to die Harley she is the only one in the pack that always causes problems. I've never had a good enough reason to snap until what she did to you at the lunch,"

layton, I got the pack dr to treat her wounds

"she doesn't deserve to be treated,"

I walk away into the kitchen to wash up some of the dishes from this morning to keep my mind busy as I started to fill the sink layton comes up behind me he puts his arms around me I turn to face him he had the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen you could get lost in them

"Harley"

yes layton

"I want you to feel what I do for you. I know I can't force you into feeling it. I have to wait till you get your wolf,"

what do you mean?

"I cant lose control and until you feel everything I do and have your wolf i have to control my self I could hurt you that's why I made a big deal about you wearing my shirt to bed or I wouldn't be able to control myself blaze would of took over"

blaze? is he your wolf

"yes Harley and trust me, he is pissed that I haven't tried but respects it."

well, I'm glad he respects it, layton

"When's your 18th birthday? I hope it's soon, "

i looked at him i could tell he was telling the truth about having feelings for me but I didnt know if i have feelings for him yet our packs have hated eachother for years but I never understood why I was also on edge due to the full moon tomorrow it's my 18 birthday as well witch means this will be my first time meeting my wolf and shifting into wolf form

"Harley?"

it's tomorrow..

"That's when the full moon is..so this will be your first time shifting,"

I look at him then away before answering

yes, I'm scared it's going to hurt, isn't it?

"I'm not going to lie Harley it does hurt, but it gets better after the 4th time, then you dont feel anything."

ok, I sigh. I'll go make us something to eat, then I'm going to bed

"Did I say something wrong, Harley?"

no, why?

"it's early still, and you want to go to bed after eating. Did I say something wrong?"

no layton, it was just a lot today it also doesn't help that the full moon is tomorrow. I just want to eat and go to bed

"ok, as he kisse's my cheek also are omegas will cook dinner they are the packs cooks they should be here to start dinner well everyone finishes up there pack training"

how many wolves live in the pack house you never told me

"not alot we have the 4 omega's which are the cooks/cleaners and there families live on the second floor witch is also where the laundry room is the third floor is for other Alpha's and families that are visiting the fourth is the gammas floor the fifth floor is beta Patrick and Arlene's witch is also where his office is and the sixth floor is ours it's also where my work office is my business office is on the first floor"

Oh yea, I guess that really isnt alot

"Nope, the rest I let choose where they wanted to live either live in the pack house or one of their own houses in the pack community."

I headed into the kitchen. I know he said the omega's were on their way to cook for the pack, but I decided to make some sandwiches for us. I came back out to where he was still standing

I made us these after today I dont think I'm ready to eat with the pack tonight tomorrow is a fresh start I hope you understand after we ate I went to wash up the plates then headed to bed layton stayed up to wait for the pack and watch some of the football game I went into the bedroom and put one of his long pajama shirts on then jumped into bed it was so soft and comfortable I instantly fell asleep I woke up to the bed dipping in on the other side then felt layton pull me over to him to cuddle me he was so warm i closed my eyes and went back to sleep.
