Shadow Heir: The Last KingdomEpisode 1 – Part 1: The Boy Who Spoke to the StormThe village of Ashvale sat at the edge of the Blackwood Forest, where ancient trees stretched so high that their branches hid the stars. Travelers rarely stopped there. Some claimed the forest whispered at night. Others believed monsters wandered beneath its endless canopy. Whatever the truth, the villagers locked their doors before sunset and never ventured into the woods after dark.Among the people of Ashvale lived a sixteen-year-old orphan named Kael.Kael was different from the others. He had no memory of his parents. The only thing they had left him was a silver pendant shaped like a wolf with glowing blue eyes. The village elder had found him as a baby wrapped in a dark blue blanket outside the gates during a violent thunderstorm.Since then, storms had always followed Kael.Whenever he became angry, clouds gathered. Whenever he cried, rain fell. The villagers whispered that he was cursed."Stay away from that boy," mothers warned their children."He brings disaster.""He was born from the storm itself."Kael pretended not to hear them, but every word left another scar on his heart. He spent most of his days helping old Bram, the village blacksmith. Bram was the only person who had ever treated him like family."You've got strong hands," Bram often said while hammering glowing iron. "One day you'll become the greatest smith in the kingdom."Kael smiled, though deep inside he knew he wanted something more.Every night he dreamed of a castle surrounded by silver mountains. A woman with long white hair smiled at him before disappearing into light. Then he always woke before she spoke.---One cold autumn evening, Kael returned home carrying firewood. The wind felt strange. The birds had stopped singing.Even the forest had become silent.Suddenly...Boom!A bolt of lightning struck the ancient oak tree at the center of the village.People screamed.Three cloaked riders emerged from the smoke on enormous black horses. Each rider wore armor decorated with the symbol of a crimson eye."The Crimson Order..." Elder Rowan whispered in terror. The villagers immediately knelt.Everyone knew the stories. The Crimson Order served the Dark King, a ruler whose armies had conquered nearly every kingdom on the continent.Their leader removed his hood.A scar crossed his pale face."We seek a boy," he announced. "Sixteen years old. Silver pendant. Blue eyes."Kael's heart nearly stopped. How could they know about him?The soldiers searched every house.Bram grabbed Kael's arm."Run.""But—""Now!"Kael sprinted toward Blackwood Forest.Behind him came shouting."There he is!"Hooves thundered across the ground.Branches whipped against his face as he raced deeper into the woods than anyone from Ashvale had ever dared. The forest grew darker.Stranger.The air shimmered with blue mist.At last he reached a cliff overlooking a forgotten valley. There was nowhere left to run.The Crimson riders surrounded him."It's over," the scarred leader said.He drew a black sword."By order of King Malachar, surrender the Wolf Heir."Wolf Heir?Kael had never heard those words before."I don't know what you're talking about.""You will."The captain raised his sword. Before it could fall...The pendant around Kael's neck burst into brilliant blue light. The ground shook violently.Lightning exploded across the sky.A deafening howl echoed through the mountains. From the mist emerged a gigantic silver wolf with glowing blue eyes.It was taller than the tallest horse. Its fur shone like moonlight. The soldiers froze in fear."Impossible..." one whispered."The Guardian still lives."The wolf stood protectively before Kael. Its eyes met his.A voice echoed inside his mind."At last... I have found you."Kael staggered backward."You... can speak?""Not with words. With souls."The wolf turned toward the soldiers. Its growl shook the valley. The horses panicked.Lightning struck the earth around them. The captain shouted, "Retreat! This changes everything!"The Crimson riders fled into the darkness.Silence returned.Kael stared at the magnificent creature."What are you?"The wolf lowered its head."I am Fenris, Guardian of the Royal Bloodline."Kael's breath caught."And you, Kael... are the last prince of the fallen Kingdom of Asteria."The world seemed to stop.A prince? An orphan blacksmith's apprentice?None of it made sense. Before Kael could ask another question, the pendant glowed again.Far beyond the mountains, in the Black Citadel, a man wearing a crown of black iron opened his eyes.King Malachar smiled."So... the heir has awakened."He rose from his throne."Prepare my generals."Outside the citadel, thousands of soldiers gathered beneath crimson banners. The hunt had begun. This is Episode 1 – Part 1. Say "Part 2", and I'll continue the story

THE PROPHECY AWAKENS
SHADOW HEIRS: THE LAST KINGDOM Part 1 – The Prophecy Awakens Long before kingdoms rose and fell, the land of Asteria was ruled by a single sovereign—King Aldren, the last monarch blessed by the ancient Guardians of Light. Before his death, he sealed away a terrible force known as the Shadow King, an immortal being determined to plunge the world into endless darkness. Before the seal was completed, the Shadow King delivered a final prophecy: "When the blood of the last king awakens, the shadows shall rise again. Only the true heir can decide whether the world will know light... or eternal darkness." For twenty years, the kingdom believed the royal bloodline had vanished forever. Far from the capital, in the quiet village of Raven Hollow, lived Kael, an eighteen-year-old blacksmith’s apprentice. He had no memory of his parents and had been raised by an old man named Garrick, who always warned him never to reveal the strange birthmark on his shoulder—a silver crown surrounded by black flames. Kael dreamed each night of a ruined castle, a glowing sword, and a mysterious voice calling his name. One evening, dark creatures attacked the village. They were unlike any beasts the people had ever seen. Their eyes glowed crimson, and wherever they walked, plants withered into ash. As the monsters cornered Kael, the birthmark on his shoulder suddenly blazed with light. A wave of golden energy burst from his body, destroying the creatures instantly. The villagers stared at him in fear. Before anyone could speak, armored riders arrived. Their leader, Lady Seraphine, knelt before Kael. "My prince," she said. "We have searched for you for eighteen years." Kael was stunned. "I am no prince." Seraphine handed him an ancient pendant bearing the royal crest. "You are Kael Aldren... the last heir of the forgotten kingdom." Before Kael could ask another question, the sky turned black. From the clouds emerged a cloaked figure whose voice echoed across the valley. "The heir has awakened." The Shadow King's servants had found him. As lightning split the heavens, Kael realized his ordinary life had ended forever. End of Part 1.
