Chapter Eleven

Rhea yawned, blinking. She could have sworn that she had fallen asleep in the living room... on the couch. She was still in Jasper’s lap and he was reading a large tome of a book. Turning her head, she spotted Alice on her laptop spotting a large grin. “Where?” Rhea asked. “Our room,” Alice said, “Bella’s sleeping on the couch, Edward’s room doesn’t have a bed; bet he’s regretting that choice now. You’ve quite the heavy sleeper.” Usually I’m not, Rhea thought. “Light too carry as well... too light,” Jasper added. “Says the vampire,” Rhea said crossing her arms. Jasper lifted his book allowing her to sit up and scan the room she was in. She could see Jasper’s and Alice’s personalities in the room, in front of her were two rooms, one she could see books and the other clothing. A door near the headboard she could see tiles, a bathroom most likely. “I had a feeling we would need it, along with a large bathtub,” Alice said. “Knew you were like Racheal,” Rhea said. “Racheal can see the future?” “Yes, she’s the orcale of Delphi... wait, what is the time?” “Ten,” Jasper said. “Why aren’t we at school?” Rhea asked. “It’s sunny,” Alice said. “That would explain why you look like every 90’s teenage girl’s disco dreams,” Rhea said, “very glitterly. Let me guess the school thinks you’re on a hiking trip? You seem to have one very time there’s a sunny day.” “Small town?” Alice asked. “Very much so,” Rhea replied. “I need to go on a hunt,” Jasper said, “I’ll drag Edward with me.” Rhea nodded. Jasper disappeared. Alice coughing into her hand, handing her a towel. “You usually shower in the mornings,” Alice said. “How?” Rhea asked. “You don’t want to know,” Alice admitted. “It’s the reason Jasper’s taking Edward with him? Isn’t it?” Rhea asked. Alice smiling, handing her clothing in a style that she didn’t picture her wearing. “Shower or bath?” Alice asked. “I’ll take a shower,” Rhea said, “don’t be shocked if I come out with less bruising. Do tell Edward to stop stalking our house at night, it’s creepy.” “Jasper’s already on that,” Alice said. Rhea huffed before going into the bathroom, almost surprused when she spots the products she uses. She and Bella did pick them up with Alice and Jasper around. It was a kinder explanation to how Alice and Jasper knew she showered in the morning. It also made her glad that she brought her clothing in with her when she showered. Along with clothing the curtain when she got changed at night. She didn’t take long in the shower, willing herself dry and getting dressed. “Come on,” Alice said taking her hand and allowing herself to be gently dragged into the kitchen. “Morning, Esme,” Rhea said, “Bella.” Esme was cooking something. Bella was yawning. “I could have cooked,” Rhea said sitting down next to Bella. “No school, which is good more breathing room before Jessica is demanding to know what happened,” Bella said staring at Rhea, “Dad’s going to want to know what happened to you last night.” “I’ll tell him that I went on a walk and got lose in a cave, since the bruising is gone,” Rhea replied. “Bella, what happened anyway?” Rhea asked. “I’ll explain at home,” Bella promised. Rhea looked at her, nodding in agreement. She was sure that Bella would keep her word on it, since she made sure others kept theirs. “Alice, is it going to be sunny tomorrow?” Rhea asked. Alice closed her eyes, before shaking her head. “Guess, you’re facing the music tomorrow,” she said. “Thank you, Esme,” Bella said. “Thank you,” Rhea said. They were silent as they ate. Edward and Jasper soon returned. Rhea caught the softball that Alice tossed her, yeeting it at Edward without a second thought. “Find something else to do at night, watching people sleep is creepy and weird when they don’t know about it, you’re lucky I didn’t find you,” Rhea said. “I’ll stop,” Edward promised. “If you want to have a sleepover, ask next time,” Bella stared. Rhea nodding before finishing her breakfast. “That you know Rhea showers in the morning is creepy,” Bella said. “Won’t do it again,” Edward promised. “He can read minds,” Bella said. Rhea jumped a bit when Esme put another plate in front of her with a glass of juice. “Makes sense,” Rhea said. “Jasper can feel and control emotions, I can see into the future,” Alice said. “Like Racheal?” Bella asked. “Yup, as long as she’s not predicting my death will happen on such and such date, I don’t mind it,” Rhea said, “I think it’s neat.” “Right,” Alice said. “Never going to get used to that,” Bella said. “Try living with it, with me around you won’t get lost at sea for long,” Rhea said, “I’m a walking gps on water... thank you, Esme.” “We don’t eat, dear,” Esme said. Why did Rhea have a feeling that more food was going to end up in the back of Bella’s truck when they want shopping? Carlisle looked at them from the doorway, smiling and waving. “After breakfast, why don’t we give them a house tour? Tell them our history?” Edward asked sitting next to Bella. “History?” Rhea asked. “I was born during the sixteenth century,” Carlisle said. Sitting next to Rhea she could see three files in his hand; the name Nico, Annabeth and Frank written along the top. “Nico gave you their files?” Rhea asked. “Last night, just walked into the my office and handed them to me,” Carlisle admitted taking a small bottle of ambrosia, “said to give that to you, said something Will saying you need to take as soon as possible.” “Ambrosia, haven’t had that in a while,” Rhea said downing it like a shot, it burnt a bit but she trusted Will to know what he was doing, “anyway, what was London like back in the sixteenth century?” “We’d love to listen,” Bella said. Rhea watched as Alice whispered something into Jasper’s ear. “Too anyone who’s willing to share, no one’s past should be told when they’re not comfortable with it,” Rhea added nodding, “even if there’s going to be more information in it than most history classes at school.” Carlisle smiling, before telling him his life as a mortal, how he’s father saw evil in every corner. Rhea was concerned over the number of innocent people being killed for such a thing, simply because a man saw ghosts in every corner. It made her feel sad, and she hoped they were happy in Hades after living in fear during their life. Alwyays looking over their shoulders, making sure they never stood out from the crowd, unless they wanted to burnt or hang. Esme’s story made her cry. Alice on the other hand. “I don’t remember anything,” Alice said, “I don’t remember my birth name or anything from my mortal life.” “Nico might have given me files on all of you,” Rhea said, coughing into her hand, “I didn’t read them, but I can give you your birth name.” “What is it?” Alice asked. “Mary Alice Brandon,” Rhea said. “Mary Alice Brandon,” Alice said rocking onto her toes and then her heels, “I like Alice better, does that file tell you about my mortal life.” “It does and I can give to you, but if you want your memories back I’ll have to ask Mnemosyne,” Rhea admitted. “You’ll to do something, don’t you?” Bella asked. “She’s the Goddess of Memories, she might just help because of what Hera did,” Rhea admitted, “no, she does owe me a favour for that.” “You and your memory,” Bella snorted. Rhea narrowed her eyes at her, getting up before following Jasper and Alice of the house tour. She was sure Edward would be fine with Bella, even if Rhea wanted to cut limps off for the whole watching them sleep at night. She didn’t pity him, and she was Bella was the same. He had to know that it was strange at his age... and he was over a hundred years old. He should have known better.
