Chapter Fourteen. After the meal, Prince Arthur took them on a guided tour of the palace, only feeding Indigo's excitement, the other three seemed bored, which puzzled Indigo, she just couldn't understand why? "So, Merlin, are yoou two friends?" Indigo decided to directly ask Prince Arthur "Why are you so keen to know things about Merlin? Do you know one another?" "No, but our town has stories about him" she answered truthfully, not really knowing what to say, ecspecially when he was giving her such a quizzical look "He's a carpenter" Prince Arthur announced, "He does odd jobs around the castle, he;s a simple bloke" he added "Really?" she asked slightly disappointed "What was you expecting?" Arthur asked her curiously "Something a bit more exciting" She admitted "Like?" He questioned "Maybe, just maybe your still to meet Merlin, I'm thinking of" She told him, not wanting to change history and keeping Merlin's secret safe, she knew using magic was deeply frowned upon in this day and age. So believed it best to keep it to herself. "Why do your people talk of Merlin?" he asked her, still trying to get the information he wanted. "They believe he's a very special person who is to become a friend of someone else to help him on his journey" She explained trying not to give to much away. But trying to give him enough to drop the subject. "Clearly your not talking bout Merlin here" Prince Arthur laughed "Doesn't sound like it" She answered, deep down, she felt bad because she knew it was this Merlin, she just couldn't risk changing history to much. "You and the Prince seem tobe getting along well" Silver said "Yeh' he's cool" Indigo stated "What were you both talking about?" "Merlin" Indigo admitted, as if that should explain everything, she forgot it was Silver she was talking too. "You really are into this part of history, aren't you?" Silver noticed "Of course I am, I don't understand why you guys aren't" Indigo confessed "History has never interested me" Silver stated, "Fashion does and maybe the history about styles of clothing, but that is as far as my knowledge on history goes." She happened to admit. "Your gonna have to watch Merlin with me, just once, then tell me it still doesn't interest you afterwards" indigo suggested "Honestly you won't be disappointed, well actually you might just depend on which one you watch I guess, but they all lead to the same thing" She added "I have heard the stories, I'm not saying I haven't, I just don't understand why you like it?" "It's magic, what's not to like about it?" Indigo asked as if that covered it. "Magic isn't real though" Silver pointed out "I know, but what if it was really real back then?" "It would be a miracle" "There's lots of stuff we're learning about the Egyptians that we didn't think possible but it was" "Yeah I know" Silver answered, "Some people put that down to aliens, but not everyone believes in them either" She pointed out "I know, but this is our chance to know the truth about some legends" Indigo reminded her "I guess, i just miss our time, it's much better there" Silver confessed "Yeah I know, we will get back there you know" "I hope your right" Siver wished Once back in her room, Indigo sat out on the balcony watching the knights practice their marching in the court yard, seeming pretty much at home, the workers that had been there in the morning weren't there now. There was a big group of people at the tavern, which made her wonder if Jacob had made his way there yet as beer was one of his favourite things. She just watched all the goings on in the court yard for awhile before deciding to retire for the evening. Toby joined Jacob in the dining room for breakfast, he looked at his friend who looked tired still, "Where's the girls?" he asked "Probably still getting ready I believe" he answered sleepily, "You know what women are like" he teased, Jacob smiled "Specially Silver, she takes forever and if Indigo is waiting for her, she'll be very late for breakfast" "Should we grab them some food just incase" He asked Toby. "Probably best too" "Come on Silv' we'll miss breakfast at this rate and I dunno about you but I'm starving" she announced outside Silver's door "It takes awhile, to try and make this outfit look anything fashionable" Silver grumbled, "I can't believe anyone was allowed to dress like this, where was the fashion police when you need them" "Probably thought this was the top fashion in this time" Indigo reminded her "I miss jeans and a sweater" Silver announced "I think we all do, but we just have to do what we have too, what's that saying, oh yeh, when in rome do as rome do" she said "We're not in Rome, we are actually in England" "Exactly Old style England" Indigo reminded her again. "This isn't making me happy" Silver pointed "Neither is this me" Indigo mumbled referring to waiting for her stubborn friend to hurry up "What did you say?" "Nothing" Indigo lied. Once in the hall, Indigo found Toby and Jacob sitting at the table, "Guys what ever you do, please just say she looks amazing" Indigo pleaded, "Just don't laugh" she added, just as she said that Silver joined them in the hall she was wearing a red dress with a red rope tied in a funny shape on her top with Gems tied up around it. "What does she look like" Toby laughed "Its the fashion statement of the year" Jacob laughed, "Love the messy hair look too" "This day and age emo" Toby laughed "Why are you laughing?" Silver asked as she got to the table. "Your fashion statement is defiantly unique" Toby told her, trying not to laugh "Well someone has to try and jazz it up a little" "Is that what you call it" Jacob laughed. "Yes it is" She stated firmly, "Who knows it might catch on with all the ladies here." she added.
