Chapter Thirteen
Indigo looked around her room absolutely loving the four poster gold themed bed and the gold mirror everything in her room was white or gold apart from the art work that had been hand painted, it was a picture of the scenery outside her window, "This is amazing" she told herself, as the sun beamed through her open window. She smiled walking on to her balcony, she looked down at all the people going about their daily chores, Silver was right, apart from the clothes it did still have the same vibe as walking through a busy market on a saturday morning.
The feeling she had here, it was one she wasn't used to, everything felt magical, she wasn't sure if that was because she had loved this era so much, watching every film ever made about King Arthur and Merlin or whether it's because she felt like she belonged in this world. It just made her feel genuinely and truly happy. There was a knock on her bedroom door, walking back into the room she walked over to the door and opened it. She opened it to find Prince Arthur standing there.
"Hi" she casually said surprised to see him at her door.
"You're invited to join the king and me for dinner this evening" he invited.
For the meal, Indigo was given a pretty dark blue medieval dress to wear, which she couldn't wait to wear, she threw it on feeling really happy with herself, she joined the others in the hall while they waited for Silver who was being her usual fashionably late self.
"Wow you guys look amazing" She said
"As do you" Jacob responded,
"Wish Silver would hurry up, my stomach feels like it's going to eat itself" Toby told them
"That's because you love your food" Indigo teased playfully
"Who doesn't?" He answered "Wait what do you think they eat here?"
"Probably the same as Robin did" Indigo replied
"Wild boar, its just like eating normal pork." Jacob reminded them, just as he said that Silver joined them,
"I can't believe I'm wearing this" Silver stated
"Me neither" Jacob answered
"Think of it as a fancy dress party" Toby advised, "That's what I'm doing"
"I'm just enjoying my time here, clothes and all" Indigo announced truthfully
"You would be" Toby remarked
"Well one of us has to don't we, I preferred the dinosaurs, Toby enjoyed Robin Hoods company, Indigo loves it here and-" Jacob started to say
"I just love our normal shopping mall" Sliver interrupted with a smile as she remembered her happy place, "Feels a really long time since we were there, I think a shopping trip might be in order when we do get back" she added.
"What did I just start?" Jacob asked them
"Another shopping trip because the first one's gone so well" Toby replied shaking his head.
"It's been ages" Silver reminded them
"Well in all fairness we have to find the gate that takes us back to that point so you might not be so wrong" Jacob told her
"See" Silver said to the others, "For once Jake is with me on this"
"I didn't exactly say that"
"Well that's what I heard" she answered flashing him a gentle smile, just the thought of shopping pleased her, "Besides I need a new sweater to replace that one" she reminded them.
"Let's not talk about a shopping trip I'm still in the first one" Toby commented.
As they entered the dining room Indigo was blown away by the how incredible the room looked, it looked exactly the way it did in old text books, the smell of the delicious food entered her nostrils causing her belly to grumble, it was only then she realised how hungry she actually was. She took in the large table with all the foods you could imagine, the live music playing in the corner and the jesters dancing along in time to the music. There were lots of people around the table awaiting them to join.
"Let me guess this is still amazing@ Toby whispered close to her ear, she looked at him and smiled
"I've never seen you look so happy" He admitted, "This era suits you" he added
"I would say if my family and friends were here too" she admitted, "Its so magical here" she admitted, they soon made themselves comfortable at the table and settled easily as the king made a speech and a couple of other people did too then they were able to eat until they could eat no more, it didn't take Indigo long to stop eating 'cos she was so full up, Silver closely followed her, while Jacob and Toby seemed to be having a competition of who could eat the most. Both looking like they were struggling but both too stubborn to admit defeat, much to Silvers and Indigo's amusement.
They all got to know the prince a little better, as he told them stories about battles he had won and the things he would do if he were King, Indigo was the most interested like she had been the entire way through this experience.
She also found Morgana very interesting and funny, sittig there along side her adoptive family, Indigo guessed this was way before Morgana had found out about her magic powers she had, she didn't seem as nasty as they had made her out to be in the books or the films, she actually seemed very pleasant. Indigo also noticed the bond she had with King Uther and Prince Arthur they seemed a very close knit family. The one thing playing on Indigo's mind was where was Merlin, why hadn't he been at this meal? Where was he? have any of them met yet? It was going around and around in her mind when Toby looked at her
"What's wrong?" He asked her curiously
"Oh nothing, I was just wondering why we haven't met Merlin yet?" she admitted
"Maybe they haven't met yet, history here is going to be the true events, where everything back home is what we think happened or just tales of him." Toby reminded her
"I guess" She answered glumly.
